Geraldo's At La Salle Park

Judy and Natalie were so awesome and really helped us make our wedding our own! The venue was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! I'm still thinking about the pork tenderloin we served and wish I could have it again!

I wanted to add a lot of personal touches to the wedding and they were very accommodating and never once told me I couldn't do anything. They personalized our package to our liking, and allowed us to have it earlier in the day and do many other things like bring in some outside food (wedding cake, cookies for my amazing cookie bar, and Tehiti Treat for toasting!)

For those of you looking to get married on a budget the prices here are more then reasonable, and the quality is fantastic! Our wedding was 2 months ago and we still have people telling us time and time again how wonderful our wedding was!

My husband and I had the most amazing day! I don't think it could of been anymore perfect then it was, so a BIG thank you to everyone at Geraldo's for everything they did to make our day go off without...

They were OK. Communication seemed to be the major issue with them and many things slipped by. Towards the end they were very difficult to reach which was not great considering how close it was to the wedding. On the day everything was great, but leading up to it wasn't the greatest.

The manager of this vendor was very friendly and great, and if you spoke to her in regards to everything my experience would have been a lot better. Some of the staff were really rude when dealing with you over the phone.

Geraldo's was amazing! Judy, Mike, and Natalie took care of everything! Our decor was spot on, the staff were incredibly accomodating to anything we needed. I did find getting in touch with people was a bit difficult, except for Judy. The accoutant on staff was very rude though, but so long as you handle everything through Judy you're just fine.

The food was great, service was very quick (we were actually ahead of schedule) and everything was set up exactly how I wanted. They will let you see your room ahead of time all set up, so go a day or two before to check on things. We had some very specific requirements (had a guest in a wheelchair, etc.) and they did everything to perfection.

There was a serious emergency just before the ceremony but Mike, Judy, and Natalie took care of everything, ensuring everything was handled and reassured both myself and my husband that they had taken care of things for us.

Overall I would have my wedding at Geraldo's again, but would make sure all my communication was with either Judy or Mike.

Geraldo's is a great place to have your wedding. The staff are very professional and do a great job with all the decor, food, etc.

The staff at Geraldo's was exceptionally professional. We were to have a lawn wedding and when the heaven's opened, Brenda and her staff, kicked off Plan B without a hitch! All of our guests complimented us on the service provided by the wait staff and could not say enough good things about the quality and taste of the food!

Thanks Geraldo's for making our day so special! We could not have done it without you!

This site is the most amazing thing we have looked at. Everything we could ever want and more. we had the option of indoor, on the terrace or out on the grass. they said that we set it tentivley for the terrace and if we wake up that day and see the sun shining we can make one call and out onto the grass it goes. they have been willing to make changes in our menu to suit people with diabetes. Add things we want or remove things at no extra cost.
The hall and everything comes full decorated.
Everytime we have had a question to ask they have been available at anytime to answer our questions.
I have recommended this place to many people getting married and want an outdoor wedding.

My husband and I fell in love with Geraldo's right away it was perfect for what we were looking for and the price was right however once we signed the papers and paid the bill the quality of service we recieved was below par...and that's putting it politely. Geraldo severely lacks professionalism when dealing with their clients (who have paid) and they do not try to accommodate simple requests or promises. The only contact I received from Geraldo's was when a payment was due, and even when bringing in a payment we were greeted with unfriendly staff and people that couldn't answer our questions. I had to eventually contact the hall to arrange to go over the details for our wedding, which ended up being a cold and rushed meeting.
Overall, Geraldo's was beautiful but the staff (excluding the wait staff who were fabulous) lacked common respect that you would expect from a place so highly regarded.
To list a few of the things that were changed, missed or messed up during our experience;
- they changed the location of our ceremony 2 days before the wedding without telling us until the night of the rehearsal, even though I had consistently confirmed where our ceremony would be held; no apology was made (this was our biggest issue)
- they mixed up 3 of the meals giving a few teenagers in attendance kids meals (which we paid full price for)
- the decorations were different from what we requested and what was communicated to us
- our engagement portrait that was supposed to be set up on the table with pens to sign was set up on an easel with no pens (even though we had supplied the pens)
- the veranda was not cleaned even though we had been assured it would be, not a big deal beside the fact that my dress was filthy (but that was bound to happen)
Despite the above our wedding was amazing, however no thanks to Geraldo's...for a business that prides itself on experience with weddings and being "Number 1 in Burlington" it really came up short and I was surprised the lack of respect the management showed us.

Asisde from the managment, I will say that the food was excellent and the wait staff went above and beyond what you could ever ask for.
I would recommend Geraldo's for a wedding based on the location and beauty of the site however, I would ensure every detail of the wedding be written in the contract.

Geraldo's was great and gives the most comfortable atmosphere. It was beautiful for picture taking!
When it came with payments, I had a bit of a problem and had spoke with the assistant manager about it. However he did not communicate my problem with their accountant, so I kept getting threatening phone calls that if didn't pay, they would cancel that date for my wedding.
The food was great! HOWEVER 35 out of 120 of my guests got diarhea that night, I had spoke to the General Manager about it and he did not take action or do anything about the problem, obviously the "workers" ate that night as well but none of them experienced any sickness...So they had completely denied it was their food and there wasn't anything I could do about it.

Altogether, although I had a nice wedding at Geraldo's, I would not recommend it to anyone because they are soo nice when you are inquiring about the place, but once they have your down payment, it is very difficult to negotiate anything else with them. Oh and to add another thing...they will tell you what you want to hear...but unless its in writing, they don't keep their promises.
