I absolutely LOVED having our ceremony on the roof top!! It was gorgeous! Everyone worked well with me as far as getting all the times and dates worked out. And they even helped as far as being the coordinators to how myself and the bridal party walked out that day! Had a great day!

When we originally signed our contract we were very happy with the staff and all arrangements for the nogths of our reception. 3 weeks before our wedding the venue was bought by new owners. They were less than heful and made it clear that they were only doing this because it was in our original contract, but going forward the services we requested would no longer be honored... I was so nervous about how tongs would go, but once I made my voice heard things went very well. The2nd floor reception hall is beautiful!

The venue was absolutely beautiful, but that was in part to my amazing mother-in-law for doing all the decorating. The management got switched halfway through planning our wedding. It began amazing they were very accommodating and on top of everything. When they got new people in a lot of things we had planned were canceled and the coordinator we had knew nothing about weddings. Thankfully my preacher took over and made sure everything ran smoothly.

We had our wedding and reception on Sunday, October 10, 2010 on the 2nd floor at Glassworks. Everything was perfect. Sydney & Carrie helped me plan my wedding with thoughtful tips that only they would know, having done hundreds of weddings & receptions at their venue. They were professional and so very helpful. I am so happy we chose Glassworks!

They were great!I had the most amazing wedding reception and was told this by almost everyone that attending the wedding. No complaints whatsoever with this venue!

Glassworks is a beautiful venue. We had our ceremony on the roof and our reception on the 2nd floor. We worked with both Allison and Sydney during the planning process, and they were always responsive to emails and questions. We had a glassblowing demonstration that was definitely worth the money; our guests loved it! We also booked the loft apartment, which was a good place for us to get ready in and to hang out in after the reception was over; we didn't use it as a honeymoon suite, since we had other plans, but it was great to have an on-site gathering place. The only problem was that the loft didn't have any towels, even though there was a bathroom and in theory we could have been showering there! I loved that there was lots of flexibility with caterers and alcohol and other vendors.

While the responsiveness of the event coordinator could have been better, and our table arrangements were not what we were hoping for (my mom got stuck behind a column and couldn't see the table my groom and I were sharing), this was an amazing and really unique place to have a reception. The roof garden was spectacular for the cocktail hour, and the glassblowing demonstration was a HUGE hit with our guests (I've had a number of people tell me it was the most memorable reception they'd ever attended because of this). We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone getting married in Louisville, even though it was expensive (they don't have an in-house caterer and add 15% to your catering bill, on top of the site fee), because it's located in the heart of the city, offers an urban vantage and provides a totally different experience...it was definitely worth it.

Beautiful venue, disappointed with the quality of service.

Glassworks was an amazing venue. We had the ceremony on the roof overlooking the city skyline and the reception was on the second floor.

While Sydney was fabulous to work with we did have a few issues. Throughout the planning process we ended up dealing with two different people and details get lost that way.

We were supposed to have cocktail tables set up by our bar area...there were none.

Sydney and Allison both told us to drop off our decorations and they would set them out. The did everything, but the favors for 170 people...I'm stuck with 100 picture frame coasters.

They have a cool loft apartment for the bride to get ready in and where the bride and groom may stay that night for $125. The place was so filthy my dress got dirty before I even walked down the aisle. My feel were black. They did clean it before we got back from the reception, but that was not worth $125.

Sydney left before the reception saying we were in good hands, but the person she left us with had no clue.

All in all, Glassworks was a great venue and I would totally recommend it. Please keep these issues in mind when speaking with Sydney.

Beautiful place for a wedding!

Glassworks is very refreshing place to host a wedding reception. It provides an eclectic feel to it while at the same time producing an atmosphere for an elegant wedding reception or other event. I've entertained many there - both in the larger back room and in the smaller ones up front - and every one of them have been a huge success!

We absolutely love working with Sydney and her Glassworks staff! It is one of our very favorite places to photograph a wedding or big event!

I love this venue for my brides! It is unique and special and always helps to enhance the beauty of my brides! The staff is fabulous and so helpful!

Glassworks is a great place for us to perform. The staff is always polite and well organized and I'm sure will do a great job for you, too!

This is an excellent venue. It is well run. Professionally appointed and extremely versatile. I have shot at this location many times and find it to be an excellent venue for a wedding or any affair. I can highly recommend this establishment.

Being in the photography business, I love places like this to host a wedding!

All of the events I have done at Glassworks have been well coordinated and very successful. I enjoy this venue!

This is a beautiful place to have a rooftop wedding! We filmed a wedding at Glassworks about a year ago and the view/skyscape is amazing. If you're looking to "wow" your guests, this is the place to be!
