Glen Island Harbour Club

We had both our ceremony & reception at Glen Island Harbour club! We worked mainly with Jack and on the day of our event we worked with John and Jack! Jack was turly the most amazing person to work with! He is so dedicated to his job and extremely professional. He really cares about your event and goes above and beyond to make sure every detail you request is there on the day of your wedding!! The food at Glen Island is one of a kind! It is better than any 5 star restaurant that you have ever dined at! They give you so many options to choose from too which I absolutely loved. Our guests still talk about how lovely the food and cake was! They say that they were so full that they felt like they were going to explode from all the deliciousness that ate throughout the evening! John was our maitre'D and he was truly a pleasure to work with! He really did such an amazing job in organizing everyone at the right time and place! It really made the evening go smoothly. He is funny too which helps out and everyone had a wonderful time! I would highly recommend Glen Island Harbour Club to any girl who wants their dream wedding to come true! P.S. the view is breath taking and your pictures will come out stunning!

I can't say enough about the level of professionalism at Glen Island Harbour Club. As an anxious bride, they were constantly on call with any questions and concerns I had. The day of, I didn't have a single care in the world - it all ran incredibly smooth! Also, Rocco (my point person), was just amazing - one of the nicest people I've ever met! Overall - amazing!!!

We had our reception at Glen Island Harbour Club, and we loved it! The views are really amazing and the staff was fantastic. Jack was great to work with. But the biggie is the food. There is a ton of it, and it is superb. People are still telling us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding.

Now I do have a couple of criticisms. My husband and I are very much go-with-the-flow type people. That means we probably brought this on ourselves, but several times I felt like we were being told how our wedding was going to be, rather than being in control. And when we did want to be in control, that's when we ran into issues. We (I) wanted to do my own flowers, but they make you choose between two florists if you want fresh flowers. It took four days and as many phone calls to send us the menu text, since we were printing our own. And we never got to taste the food before the big day.

Despite my concerns about the above, everything came together beautifully. In all, we are very, very happy with our reception at Glen Island.

This place is mesmerizing. I was there for friends wedding 10 yrs ago and knew this is where I wanted to get married. Place is so beautiful. Venue is surrounded by the water. Structure of the inside the venue is so classy and perfect. You almost don't want to do a thing to the place for your event. Service was superb. Jack was our banquet manager. Thank you so much for such a great experience. Thank you everyone for lovely experience. I will recommend to all my friends and family. Some of my bridesmaids are already saying they want to get married there. *Love at first sight* is what I describe Glen Island Harbour Club.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Glen Island was. From the very beginning, Rocco answered my MANY emails quickly and was really receptive to all of our ideas and even offered some of his own suggestions. We had a very large reception but it didn't feel that way--the evening felt so intimate and warm. Our maitre'd, John, led us through the whole evening so it ran seamlessly and our bridal attendant, Gabby, was extremely attentive. Everything from start to finish was amazing. Even the day after when we went to pick up some items that were left, everyone was helping us to bring things to the car and follow up with us. Just a wonderful, dream of a day!

I have to admit, going into our wedding day I was weary that some of the requests we had made for would not be granted. We worked with Jack DePostelle from GIHC leading up to our wedding day and although he was responsive to our questions and emails, we felt easily dismissed at times. BUT on our wedding day, Glen Island MORE than exceeded our expectations. It felt as though they had thought of our every wish and personalized every detail just for us. The food was AMAZING, I cannot say how many people commented on the amount and quality.. they even made the fried oreos we had asked for!! The atmosphere was beautiful, this you can upon your first visit.. but on our wedding day it was rainy yet because they knew we reeeally wanted an outside bar, they made every effort to do so and they did! People were able to enjoy the outdoors even on a chilly drizzly evening. Lastly and most importantly, I have to comment on the service: SUPERB. James was our maitre d and he not only catered to mine and my husbands every need but also our family's. My parents were never without a drink in hand..not were any of our guests! My only issue was the $7/guest tip they ask for on the night of the wedding for "gratuity" on top of the 18% already given for "service". ? I thought a tip was subjective and felt that this seemed a little bit like a scam.. We ended up just tipping what we felt comfortable with.

We saw a few venues before deciding on our wedding, but Glen Island was the first one we visited, and we always knew we would choose it for our special day.

From our first meetings with Rodney, all the way to the day before getting last minute items to them on our behalf, the crew at Glen Island was just flat out awesome. Rodney was our banquet manager and was in constant contact with us, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and was so flexible and awesome and made everything so easy for us. James was our maitre d' and he and his crew were amazing. They were always right there for us ensuring everything was going smoothly, and believe me when I say it was comforting and everything was perfect.

Now the important part: the food was above and beyond AMAZING. Not just the main course, but the cocktail hour is legendary. You can customize the "stations" and we picked some really awesome ones. Our guests could not get enough!!

You will not find a better venue for your wedding then glen island..it has everything you need for a great wedding. The location is beautiful, the food is amazing and the service is top notch. James was beyond helpful the day of the wedding, he knew what we wanted without even having to ask him. Sandy took care of all the details and I knew I had nothing to worry about because he was on top of it. No other place compares to glen island

Glen Island and the entire staff were fantastic. The venue is gorgeous and the staff are tremendous.

I fell in love with this venue from the minute we crossed the pretty bridge overseeing the sail boats. We had seen all the other venues on that road, but this place was clearly the best from first impression and from word of other friends and family who have attended events there. We worked with Jack who was super friendly and easily approachable. He was very informative and open to any questions. The grounds were beautiful enough to do pictures close to the venue. It was beautiful as the sun was setting. Our guests were greeted with champagne and were all easily escorted to the atrium ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception area. Our maitre-d John and bridal attendant colista were so helpful and always at my side when we needed them.. they worked very well with our DJ company and photographer/videographers who were coming from new jersey. Our guests had an amazing time and said the food during cocktail hour and dinner was fantastic. We opted for a coffee/cookies cordial hour instead of a viennese hour to accompany dessert and was soooo impressed witht he ammount of coffees cookies and pastries that was provided. if you get the viennese hour, i can't imagine how much more they would give! The food is fantastic, the venue is beautiful. I think every money we spent on them was worth it and more and have no regrets. Glen Island was unbelievable and recommend them to anyone!

There is not enough time in the day for me to write a review that would express how I really feel about this venue. I worked with Jack, who was AH-mazing! This place knows what they're doing. After my first meeting with Jack, we knew we wanted this to be our venue. We didn't even bother to go see any of the other places on our list. Jack walked us through all the necessary steps, and in the weeks leading up to the wedding, it was smooth sailing! We did not have a wedding planner, but working with Glen Island makes one unecessary. They handle a good portion of your event, and if there's something they do not handle, they know where to send you.

On the day of, we did not have a day of coordinator, and one was not needed. Frank, our maitre'd and Lisette, my bridal attendant, knew exactly what they were doing and made the day run smoothly from the moment we arrived until we left. Almost 3 weeks later, guests are still raving about the food - both the amount and the deliciousness! There was so much food at the cocktail hour, people assumed we were not also having a dinner! Once in teh dinner, the food and drinks kept on coming. Each table had it's own hostess, so no one ever had to lift a finger for a drink or food.

The venue itself has an amazing view of long island sound, which makes for a beautiful wedding scenery. A day time wedding is even more beautiful because of this view. I absolutely loved having my wedding here. Everyone said I should prepare myself for at least one thing to go wrong, but working with Glen Island, I can honestly say that the day was 100% perfect.

My husband and I got married at Glen Island on August 26 2012, and the place was amazing. We had the terrace room overlooking the Long Island sound and our guest were in awe. The staff was on point with there white glove service. Jack was amazing as well he had every detail perfect throughout the whole night. The food was amazing and plenty of it, not one guest complained except for being stuffed. If your looking for a venue with class and want to impress everyone this is the place that people will be talking about for awhile.

Unbelievable service. We didn't have one worry or concern while working with GI. They blew us away with their level of care the night of our event. Everything they do is over the top fantastic.

We got married at Glen Island Harbour Club on July 15th 2012 and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing wedding. Rocco was calm, collected and extremely organized. The room looked beautiful, the food was great and the staff was wonderful. I have not one complaint only glowing reccommendations!

I was not familiar with Glen Island and found them by chance online. My husband and I took a drive to Glen Island on a cold winter day. We drove across the bridge, past the marina and through the private park into Glen Island's parking lot. Our breath was taken away by the original architecture and structure of Glen Island and the surrounding water views. We were so impressed and could only imagine the magnificence of having a summer wedding at this location. While we were parked outside I called Glen Island to schedule an appointment. I made mention that we were parked outside and they were very accommodating in giving us a tour on the spot. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and introduced to our banquet manager Sandro. Sandro was very detailed and knowledgable. After a tour of the beautiful onsite chapel, the grand ballroom and learning everything that Glen Island had to offer we knew this charming, elegant, romantic and sophisticated venue was the perfect place for us. Throughout the different stages of the wedding planning Sandro was patient and even helped keep me cool, calm and collected. My bridal attendant Calista and our Maitre'D John made everything look seamless. The professionalism of the entire staff, the service excellence they provided, and the quality of all the food and drinks surpassed any other venue we had visited and researched. My wedding was PERFECT! Not only did I feel like royalty on my special day but so did my 400+ guests. The Viennese hour was the icing on the cake. Our wedding is still the topic of conversation when we see our family and friends because of the splendor of Glen Island.

I Couldn't have asked for a better venue, GLEN ISLAND HARBOUR CLUB was a dream come true to get married there! Stunning view, exclusive entrance, The food is DELICIOUS, the bridal attendant, Major D, and banquet managers were on point, very professional and there for you whenever and for whatever you needed! The staff were so professional and catered to every guests. My ceremony took place in the chapel which is absolutely stunning with the sunset and water view as you are getting married! I am so pleased I got married at Glen Island Harbour Club because it is the BEST venue & I would recommend this venue to every BRIDE!

We had our wedding at Glen Island Harbour Club on June 10th, 2012. It was absolutely perfect...

We worked with Rodney. He was so easy to get in touch without throughout our whole engagement and was amazingly accommodating. He allowed us to use two suites for the bridesmaids so pictures could overlook the water. He also packed my husband and I a doggie bag of food, knowing that the bride and groom never get a chance to eat at their wedding. We were also amazed at the impeccable service during the wedding. The second I even looked like I needed anything, the bridal attendant was by my side. Calista was my bridal assistant and she catered to all of my needs happily- she was wonderful. During the wedding, Rodney was the behind the scenes man. He made sure everything ran completely smoothly. There wasn't the slightest glitch in service, or really, at all. 

The venue is gorgeous, we had our ceremony room in the chapel upstairs, our cocktail on the balcony overlooking the water and the reception in the room with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the water. Our guests were floored by the breathtaking view. We were also told that ours had the best food of any wedding they had ever been to - and the steak was better than restaurants in the city! Also, the amount and quality of food at cocktail hour was raved about by everybody who attended. 

Though I'm sure the bride and groom are always biased about their day, I really do feel that our wedding day was perfect.  Our guests were blown away and are still talking about our wedding.  As for us, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding and we know Glen Island played a huge role in making our day one to remember - we wouldn't have changed a thing. 

We are begging our friends to have their weddings at Glen Island so we can experience the venue from a guest's perspective! We recommend this venue with complete confidence that your day will be perfect there as well. 

Having been to Glen Island for a previous company event, we KNEW we were getting the best food and best service around when we booked; however, we didn't know JUST how great they would be when hosting our own wedding there. Glen Island is a PHENOMENAL place to host your wedding! For starters, Rocco was exceptional to us throughout the entire planning process. He was responsive, answered all questions thoroughly, and was more than accommodating when any requests/changes needed to be made. The day and night of the wedding he was there to assist and definitely felt like more of a family-friend than an employee of Glen Island. We loved our experience with him! Secondly, kudos to Gabbi, my bridal attendant. She was not only attentive to my needs, but she also took care of our families, both sides of the bridal party, and she helped make sure our other vendors were taken care of... not to mention she was outside during pictures assisting with my bouquet, helping me climb on rocks, made sure we were fed and had fresh drinks all night, etc. I can't say enough good things about how sweet and how helpful she was! Next is John, our maître d'. While I do agree with some past reviews that it would have been nice to have been told about all of the additional tips to be paid the day-of PRIOR to a few weeks before the wedding, I must say that John--and all of the staff behind the scenes--were more than deserving of their gratuity! John and his team were professional, accommodating, and they were the ones making sure that everything ran smoothly, on-time, and the way the bride and groom preferred it. He didn't just oversee the big picture, but all night he zeroed in on me and my groom to make sure we had food, fresh drinks, and that we were happy that night. Glen Island is worth every penny we spent. I highly recommend it for weddings, corporate events, you name it; so pleased!

If you want to worry a little less than you normally would on the night of your wedding.. Book Glen Island Harbour Club. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING.. People are still talking about our wedding night. We had a fully stocked top shelf open bar, 2 specialty drinks, 17 passed horderves, 8 stations, 4 dinner choices & plated dessert. It was the perfect Wedding! Like every bride I had questions & concerns practically up until I walked down the aisle (Our ceremony was held in the tent outside, gorgeous.) The food was perfect, served hot & very tasty. Not typical wedding food at all. One of our guests told me he asked for an extra potato with his filet & they brought him a 2nd dinner plate (of course unnecessary) but raved the next day. During the wedding the staff was amazing & so attentive to all of our 200+ guests! We had 2 bars in the room & one in the area where we had cocktail hour. I was really worried & upset that there was another wedding going on at the same time but you do not see the other wedding & would never even have known. It seemed like all of GI was ours, guests thought the same also. So for anyone who has the concern, It is ok. Our wedding reception was held in the half moon shaped room which is stunning at night (you do not need lighting.) Our guests really enjoyed being able to go outside during the wedding because the June evening weather was perfect. They could go to the water side or to the outdoor tent which was turned over after the ceremony. GI moved everything & put in cocktail tables & chairs. This really allowed our guests to have the choice & spend time indoors or outdoors. Our wedding manager Jack was truly great, despite all my emails & calls he answered every single question & never ignored me. It was a really great feeling to know that he was always there to help. At the end of the night as guests were exiting they were served hot pretzels & lemon ice, truly the icing on the cake.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Glen Island Harbour Club in May 2012. Rocco helped us plan the event and he was terrific. He's very patient and friendly and knowledgable. John, the maitre d' the day of the event, was very helpful and worked hard to make sure every detail was in place. I also can't say enough about my bridal attendant, whose name I cannot remember right now but she was just super. She was by my side just when I needed her and was waiting in the wings anticipating when I'd need her and was also quite helpful to my family and bridesmaids. She and John also made sure that we ate and tried everything. Everyone at GIHC is professional and takes pride in their work, and it really showed throughout the planning process and on the day of our event.

We were in the Terrace Club side: ceremony in the tent and reception in the round room with the windows. Great choice. Our evening ceremony was just stunning on the water. The windowed room looks spectacular at night, especially once it is all lit up with candles.

Our guests raved about the food. Appetizer was an onion tart with goat cheese. Entree was a choice of filet mignon, wild mushroom stuffed chicken or sweet potato encrusted red snapper (we upgraded the fish option from the delicious asian salmon, which we think in hindsight we should have selected). Dessert was wedding cake plus a dessert trio of chocolate brownie souffle, apple tart, and vanilla cheesecake. People have told us that the wedding cake was the best they've ever had. We added a coffee bar, which included cookies, plus chocolate fountains. Although these add-ons were delicious, the standard wedding cake and other dessert were more than enough. Top shelf open bar came standard. On the way out, guests were given bottled water, hot pretzels and Italian Ices (standard).

Glen Island itself also has beautiful grounds on which to take photographs, and we were able to take advantage of that on a beautiful day.

I can't say enough good things about Glen Island. We were so happy we chose this place for our wedding! The people there are experts and extremely professional. From the moment we met Rocco, he was so helpful through out the planning process. To the little things like having sandwiches ready when my bridal party and us first came there after taking pictures all morning (and yes we were starving!). The food was phenomenal and I had many guests confirm that. And of course you can't beat the view!

Glen Island was a fabulous place to have a wedding. I will admit that at first it was not my dream venue (I imagined something in Manhattan), but it ended up being more than I could have dreamed of. The venue is beautiful, the food was plentiful and fantastic and the staff are true professionals. A special shout out to my bridal attendant Callista who was not only extremely helpful, but must also be psychic, because whenever I needed her she magically appeared, whenever I needed a soda one was in my hand, when my bustle started falling apart, she was on the dance floor putting me together. Simply amazing.

Sandro and the staff at glen island was very instrumental in pulling off the perfect night. Everything was beautiful and everything went according to schedule. I was very happy with the out come so were my guess the thought the place was gorgeous. The food was excellent, the cake was great, the over all service was great and i was very pleased.

I can't begin to express how happy we were with Glen Island. They did such an amazing job with everything. Everyone left the wedding extremely impressed. All of our guests raved about the service and the food. We had our ceremony at Glen Island as well and everything went perfect. I am an extreme perfectionist and I was able to relax on my wedding day because everyone at Glen Island was making sure everything went according to plan. Rodney, our banquet manager, and John our day-of coordinator, was a pleasure to work with in every way...from initial conversations, to planning, to the day-of on our big day. They made the entire process seamless, easy, was always flexible and really listened to our wants/needs. I'm so happy that I chose Glen Island Harbour Club for my wedding reception. Their staff was impeccable and extremely caring. I worked specifically with Rocco who was truly amazing. Whenever I had a question, I knew he would email me back within a day. I was one of those brides with a million details, and Glen Island Harbour created EXACTLY what I had been envisioning in my mind. I would recommend this venue to any bride who is looking for compassionate and detailed oriented staff to make their special day just as they dreamed!

They did an excellent job!!! The venue itself is stunning on its own. The food was excellent, I only wish I took the time to sit and enjoy it as much as all my guests did! The bridal attendent was everything you could ever want! She never was far from me if I needed her, but yet I didnt feel smothered by her either! I only wish I could go back and do it all over again, only this time as a guest so I could really enjoy it all!

It is with great pleasure that my husband and I recommend Glen Island Harbour Club to anyone looking for a spectacular wedding venue. When we started our venue search, we didn't really have a clear cut idea of what we were looking for. After seeing some potential places, we learned that the most important qualities were the look of the venue, the staff/service, and the food. Glen Island is top notch with all three. The first thing you'll notice about Glen Island is its beauty. It is on its own little island along with Glen Island Park. It's right on the water and it looks fantastic from the outside. It only gets better when you walk in. The place is kept in immaculate condition and each passing room you go to looks better than the last. The chapel is absolutely breathtaking. You get an expansive view of the water as soon as you walk in. It's magical. Let me tell you about the food. There is a lot of it! At our cocktail hour, our guests were provided with 15 pass around appetizers and 6 appetizer stations for a total of over 60 individual items try. People were enamored with how good the food was and so were we. It's delicious. As if there wasn't enough food at the cocktail hour, guests are then ushered into the dining room for a full service 3 course meal. In addition to that, you have the option of adding on a Viennese table that consists of 100 feet of dessert items and if your guests are not rolling themselves out of the venue at the end of the night, they are given ballpark soft pretzels as they walk out. The amount of food is really staggering but Glen Island doesn't just feed people. They feed them well with high quality, tasty food options. Finally, there's the staff. One thing that was important to us when choosing a venue was to pick one that doesn't just hire external staff for each event they put on because inevitably, the outside staff isn't trained to function at the venue. Glen Island maintains full-time professional staff and it definitely shows. We were told that there would be people assigned to making sure the entire day runs smoothly and those staff members went above and beyond. They did everything we asked for and more and did their jobs with a smile on their faces. They were always asking us if everything was good or if we needed them to do something else. It's clear just how much they care about their clients and putting on spectacular events. Glen Island has a great reputation for a reason and that's because they truly earned it by making each event about what their clients want. We are truly grateful to them for making our wedding day spectacular and we could not have asked for more. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing place to host the most special day of their lives.

Rocco and the rest of the team at GIHC are true professionals. We were in great hands from the moment we chose GIHC, and our wedding could not have gone any smoother. First off, we chose GIHC in large part because of Rocco. He made such a positive impression on us at our initial meeting - no one at any other wedding venue made us feel as comfortable as he did. From the tasting to the wedding planning to the events of the wedding day, Rocco just made everything so incredibly easy for us. Great attention to detail, he was simply the best to work with. His team, including the maitre'd and bridal attendant (Calista), were phenomenal. They were by my side every step of the day to make sure we were ok (and we were). Thank you!

May be a bit pricey but it is worth EVERY CENT. The staff is amazing, the view is amazing, the food is amazing, overall an incredible experience. Working with the people at Glen Island is like having your own wedding planner. They make sure everything is perfect for you on your special day and they do their best to accommodate your EVERY need. I'd do it all over there again if I could :).

Glen Island is the best place to have a wedding by far. I worked with Rocco and he was amazing. Always available for questions and any changes you needed last minute and I must have asked him a million questions and always answered them for me. Even the ones I probably asked him more than once! Since our wedding day all I have been hearing from our guests was how perfect Glen Island was. How the food was the best food they've ever had, the view of the sound being amazing, and the staff being just wonderful. Rocco, the bridal attendant, and the captains were always there to help me and my husband for whatever we needed that day. They made sure that we ate, which was most important. We completely forgot to get/make a basket for cards and the bridal attendant took care of all of the envelopes and put them all in a safe place. They also packed up all of our stuff at the end of the night and made sure we didn't leave anything behind.
Everyone at Glen Island is just amazing and professional. You don't have to worry about anything getting married here they take care of it all!

My wedding was absolutely gorgeous because of Glen Island! The venue and scenery was amazing! The food was even better! The night was amazing thanks to them, you shouldnt have your wedding anywhere else! :)

I just had a wonderful wedding at Glen Island on September 18th. The food was spectacular, and the venue itself and views of the water were incredible. For the price of the venue (it was the most expensive of all the venues we looked at in the area, but we fell in love with everything about it) I felt like we could have gotten a little more for our money. They certainly didn't add any surprise bells and whistles the day-of - you get what you pay for and that's it. Not extra dessert stations or ice sculptures here. We worked with Rodney to coordinate the whole thing, and he was awesome. Always available when we needed him and so efficient.

But when it came to the MaitreD and the Bridal Attendant, that's where Glen Island fell short. I didn't meet either of them until the day-of, which I'm not sure is normal or not, but regardless it felt very impersonal. I feel like neither of them tended to myself or the groom as much as they could have on our day. The Bridal Attendant (I honestly don't even remember her name) wasn't that on-point, and I felt like I was ordering her around all day because she wasn't taking the initiative to get things done. The MaitreD, John, was good and very nice, but there were small areas where he fell short, like making sure the groom and I had a drink in our hand when we wanted it, etc. Overall, our wedding was a fairytale and I know that was mostly due to the amazing venue, but I think I just expected a bit more for the price tag.

Glen Island was absolutely amazing. My wedding was perfect! They even offered me a bigger room for the cocktail hour and a second bridal suite to use. Everyone complimented the venue and loved the food. There was so much food! They had a very nice setup in each of the bridal suites when we arrived. I missed the cocktail hour but I was told that everything was delicious. The reception food was amazing. I had the filet mignon and I loved it! I would recommend Glen Island for every event!

Rocco @ Glen Island was amazing in helping me plan our wedding! Everything about Glen Island is fantastic. They really go above and beyond when it comes to service. The food was so good and all of my guests were amazed by the spread that Glen Island provided. They were so attentive to my husband and I and really made us feel like anything we needed would be taken care of. Your money will be well spent there.

The food & setting definitely are key for a great place for a reception. Glen Island was excellent in both areas. However, the attention to detail and the service that was provided the day of was absolutely over the top excellent. Vinny (my maitre d') & Katherine (my bridal attendant) were absolutely the best. Both made sure I had everything I needed and then some! Plus, my guests are still raving about the wonderful food & service! Honestly, they could not have done anything more to make my wedding more perfect than I could ever have imagined.

My husband and I got married this June and we found Glen Island to be a perfect location for our wedding reception! We've worked with Rocco for the last year and he has been so helpful and responsive. Although we didn't have a chance to eat much, our guests loved the food and said the selection and quality was outstanding. To get married here on a Saturday evening in June is quite expensive, but we feel that we were treated very well from start to finish and our guests were blown away with the experience. My only minor complaint is that Glen Island told us that we needed a permit to take pictures on the park grounds before our reception started. It was quite a hassle to get the permit from Westchester county and was $50 that we didn't even need to spend. I understand that the county is trying to have some control on the number of brides that utilize the park for pictures; however, I think that Glen Island should cover that cost for their own brides/grooms and attain the permit for them. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this place to anyone!

I am in love with Glen Island. To me no other place compares, actually no other venue even comes close! We met with Jack to first see the place. We saw the upstairs ballroom and it was great but we walked into the ballroom with all glass and over looking the water and I fell in love. The food is amazing and there is no shortage of it either! Our guests commented on how they had a food hangover the next day. The service is beyond exceptional, everyone the day of treated us like king and queen. I also highly recommend spending the extra money on the Venetian hour, it's to die for!

Like I said, we worked with Jack and he was great. I would recommend dealing with him. He answered all my questions and made me feel like I didn't have anything to worry about, and I didn't! You will be in great hands at Glen Island!

I've never been the kind of person who dreamt about what my wedding would be like. But when I got engaged, I suddenly had a very clear vision of what I wanted for that day. All I can say is that Glen Island exceeded my wildest dreams, hopes and expectations. The day was PERFECT. Throughout the planning process, Rocco was always available to talk to me, my husband and my mother about any and all questions we had, consistently reassuring us that everything would be wonderful on the day of the wedding. On April 15th, all of my fears were put to rest. The Terrace Room looked stunningly beautiful. Although I didn't eat at all that day, I was extremely jealous of the guests who still cannot stop raving about the incredible cocktail hour (especially the Coney Island Station and passed rack of lamb), the chateubriand and the Vienese Hour (which literally had more desserts than I've ever seen). John was wonderful to work with and walked us through the whole day without being at all intrusive. Although he was not working that day, Rocco came in to ensure that we were happy with the way everything had worked out. My family and friends were floored by how gracious and accomodating the entire staff was and all of the little extra touches (like fresh hot pretzels at the end of the evening) that put Glen Island on an entirely different level than any other reception hall we visited or have experienced. I really REALLY hope that someone I know has a party there soon so I can enjoy the food and the experience all over again! All I can say to Rocco, John and the whole staff of Glen Island - thank you for making my wedding the most unforgettable day of my life.

Glen Island Harbour Club is a class act. The grounds are stunning, the food delicious and plentiful and the staff - wow. Only at Glen Island have I encountered a group of people so intent on doing a flawless job. George was our Maitre d' for the evening. He's a master: he listens, he guides, he introduces, he adapts, he makes sure there are no surprises for you. He was a complete dream. I just felt bad that he had to wrangle us through a crowd of 170 of our nearest & dearest. That couldn't have been an easy job AT ALL.

Calista, the bridal attendant, was similarly fabulous. She had this bizarre ability to respond to my needs or wishes before I could even articulate them. I'd think it, she'd appear out of no where and it would be done. Amazing! Even when presented with an unusual challenge or two, she triumphed quickly and elegantly. She was patient, but firm when she needed to be (our bridal party was particularly chatty & boisterous, but she got us through a rehearsal in record time and the actual ceremony went off without a hitch).

Martin was our initial event planner and we loved working with him. We were quite upset when he went out on medical leave about 8 months into planning and no one told us (an interesting trend with a few of our vendors). Jack stepped in and, after a brief period learning and adapting to each other's styles, helped us pull off a fantastic party. People will talk about the Venetian hour alone for years to come.

We had a perfect wedding and it was, no doubt, due to the hard work, professionalism and care of the staff at Glen Island. What a terrific group of people to work with in pulling off an elegant, formal affair. I could not recommend them more highly.

Glen Island realy exceeded our expectations! They were so great to work with - only interested in making the day special for us. Our guests were blown away by the amount and quality of the food, the responsiveness of the staff and the well kept space/grounds. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

Food was outstanding, service was top notch and the venue itself is beautiful. Two days before the wedding they offered us the room usually reserved for ceremonies to use for our cocktail hour. This gave our guests a lot more room to circulate as well as more tables to sit at while enjoying a drink and hors deourve. The Maitre d was on top of everything and my drink was always full. My only suggestion is that they promote the viennese hour more than they do. We had nearly 100 feet of deserts and it was the perfect cap to a perfect evening

I cannot express enough how truly wonderful everyone was at Glen Island Harbour Club. The staff members are absolutely exceptional & everyone treated me so wonderfully. The food, as always, was phenominal & my guests are still commenting on it all. It truly was my dream wedding & I can't thank Rocco, & the rest of the staff there enough!

My husband and I recently got married at Glen Island and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get married in Westchester County or the NYC area. The food, service, set up, and views were amazing -- our friends and family have told us it is one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever been to and everyone has been raving about the food! Jack (our banquet manager), Vincent (maitre'd) and Calista (bridal attendant) were all very professional and easy to work with. We hope we get to attend a wedding there soon so we can really get a chance to eat the delicious food.

BREATHTAKING! There are not enough good things I can say about Glen Island. I had my Ceremony and Reception there. The indoor Ceremony room is breathtaking! I worked with Jack and Vinny was my maitre' d the night of. They couldn't have made the wedding easier for us. The cocktail hour (I hear) was phenomenal, the dinner amazing. The presentation amazing. Really I have nothing bad to say. Jack was great at going through detail by detail the day, he was always available to call if I had questions. Everyone at the place made it so easy that I didn't have to worry about a thing. And again, not only because it was my wedding, but it's one of the most beautiful places I have been to for a wedding. I would recommend to my friends and family and I do hope someone gets married there so I can go back and enjoy the cocktail hour!

My husband and I recently got married at Glen Island and would highly recommend it. We used Rocco and he was fantastic, he was always happy and pleasant and gave real feedback. The views are gorgeous and the park is beautiful. The venue is also beautiful and the food is amazing. We received so many compliements, people wanted to know how we found this place. My bridal attendent was terrific and so attentive and took care of everything. all of our guests were so impressed with the service, raved about the food and told us it was the best wedding they had been too. The only problem I had, which is not the venues fault, is that many brides come there to take pictures and it gets a bit crowded. The park needs to do a better job of allowing the venues brides to have priority of the site.

Everything was great! Everyone could not stop saying how wonderful EVERYTHING was...the location, the FOOD!!!, the friendly service. My husband and I were very pleased with everything. Rodney, our banquet manager, was fabulous! They thought of everything and were all very professional and warm--from the bridal attendant to the servers, matre'd, everyone was great. I would recommend them to anyone else having a wedding.

I absolutely love this place and would recommend it again to anyone hands down. The view in all rooms was amazing!! The food was delicious and came in abundance. The banquet managers were all about making their client happy and that resonated through to the wait staff as well. The bathrooms were clean. I have only 1 complaint: I wish that my attendant helped me more rather than my planner. As a matter of fact, I barely got to finish my food which was so good. Had she been around, I could have asked her to box it for us. For the money we spent, we shouldn't have left the place hungry.

They are a top class location. The staff and food are incredible. They do all the extra little things to make it a great experience. I highly recommend them.

The moment we drove over the bridge from Glen Island park and caught our first glimpse of the Glen Island Harbour Club, my husband and I knew that was where we would have our wedding. From the amazingly breathtaking views of Long Island Sound, to the impeccable service and delicious food, there are not enough words to describe how absolutely amazing our wedding was. We got married on a Sunday in June and booked the Terrace Room, which was a 180 degree semi-circle of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water, complete with an outdoor terrace which guests can access all night long. We had six delicious stations at our cocktail hour, and were so excited by them that even though our bridal suite had its own food service, we decided to mingle with our guests and enjoy them along with everyone! Everyone on staff at Glen Island is completely professional and dedicated to creating a wonderful wedding for you and your guests. The service is outstanding. We had Jack as our banquet manager, John was our Maitre'D, and Jennifer was my bridal attendant, and Rocco the owner is so charming and pleasant to work with. Everyone did a wonderful job in keeping us all happy and well-fed. The dinner was absolutely amazing - John took us into the ballroom to view the setup before the guests were allowed in, and also took us into the Venetian hour to preview it as well. My family and friends cannot stop talking about how this was the most beautiful & elegant wedding they have ever attended, and how they can't believe how much delicious food there was. We added our own little personal touches to everything as well by creating a signature drink menu that was displayed at the bars and the waitstaff passed out our drinks, and also provided guests with boxes to take home desserts from Venetian hour as there was no way anyone could finish all that food!! From the moment we arrived and were handed one of our signature drinks to the moment we left and had hot pretzels and Italian ice on the way out with all of our vendors waving us goodbye, the night was absolutely magical.

Oh. Boy. I need to start by saying that when I started to look at spots for my wedding, I had a very closed mind. I wanted somewhere unique, different, and I was terrified of the event ending up like "Tony & Tina's Wedding 2010".

I made the mistake of looking at a venue the DAY after I got engaged, and because seeing the place made the engagement "real" I got very very stuck on this first venue. While it did suit my "unique" requirement, in hindsight the off-site catering, age of the facilities and general attitude of the owner proved it was not the place for me.

Glen Island was.

The day I went to look at places, I was met at the door by Rocco who had the kindest persona. Because both my husband and I come from divorced families, we often had a bit of an entourage in tow when I came and he was always accomodating. I was SWEPT AWAY when he showed us the smaller room, which was all glass and shaped like a semi-circle. I also want to make note that I first saw the facilities in January, with a wedding going on. This is not a place that needs flowers, sunshine and summer winds to be gorgeous. It was breathtaking in the most baron time of the year, so breathtaking I ended up having my wedding in February!

I was excited from get-go about the food. I had wanted a slight "New York" theme to my wedding (With each table named for a NY landmark) and the offerings naturally fit what I wanted to do. Cocktail hour consists of several of your choice of stations, each one themed like a Tex-Mex, a Chinese buffet type, a Salumeria, and so on. The star of the show were the "Coney Island" (yup, hot dogs and knishes!) and the Americana (who doesn't love comfort food?!) We had the opportunity to taste the entree selection, which knocked us off our feet but I had to wonder would the kitsch value of the cocktail hour would be more so than the taste value. I was wrong, it was AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING.

I can't say enough (nor could my guests!) about the food. The smartest decision I made was to let Glen Island make my cake as part of my package. I was trying to be a rational bride and thought "ehh who eats it really?" They worked with me to make it beautiful and I was sure it would be perfectly fine, but what I didn't expect was how GOOD it ended up being!

But along with killer food, is a killer staff. Like I've said, we got good vibes IMMEDIATELY when we met Rocco and the day-of staff was nothing short of stellar. From Calista, my bridal assistant (can't think of the word, it's NOT assistant!) to the Maitre D, me and my guests were treated like royalty. My friends the Repettis had just hosted their sons wedding there and the staff even remembered them and treated them to a little something special.

In the end, the room I chose was ANYTHING but traditional. I got my unique wedding and better yet had it in a place where the staff is doing what they were born to be doing. Despite the snowstorm leading up to that special Saturday, it never even crossed my mind that Glen Island would have any issues. It was all amazing from start to finish and my guests left well-fed, partied out and happy.

I cannot say enough about Glenn Island. We worked with Jack and George during our wedding and they were both phenomenal. They were very attentive during the entire process, helping us to make sure that our day ran smoothly. They worked with our needs and even surprised the groom with his favorite dessert (that wasn't selected for the rest of our guests). I would recommend them without reservation and assure you that your wedding will be a night to remember if you go with Glenn Island.

Oh where do I begin? From the moment we drove up to Glen Island when we were still looking, I knew this was where we were getting married. Everything about Glen Island is gorgeous, the views are amazing, the rooms are impeccable and the staff is extremely wonderful. Our banquet manager was Martin, he was so professional, honest and friendly. We felt like we were working with a family member. From the first day we went to take a look at Glen Island until the last minutes of our wedding, Martin gave us the best service. Our Maitre'd the day of the wedding was John and I could not have asked for a better person to help us. He made sure we tasted everything from our cocktail hour, he made sure our food stayed warm while we danced, he made sure we were taken care of and comfortable. I can't say enough good things about Glen Island, their food was amazing, everything was great. My family and friends raved about our wedding for months to follow.

Glen Island was also helpful is recommending a photographer. Regency Studios was the 2nd photographer we went to look at and we booked them right on the spot after seeing their work and meeting with Margaret. We loved everything she showed us and we fell in love even more when we got our proofs and photo albums. Raul was out photographer the day of the wedding, he was so much fun to work with, he wasn't pushy, he didn't pull us away from having fun with our friends and family, we were able to get amazing pictures while enjoying our special day. He knew exactly where to get the best shots at Glen Island park and boy did he get some awesome shots!!! I still look at my album, 10 months later, and get tears in my eyes. Our album design was breath-taking, we were truly amazed and so very happy with every single thing about it, I even got a mini to carry in my purse which everyone loves!!! We surprised our mothers with clones of our album and they were in love, they even carry them around to show their friends.

Thanks to Glen Island and Regency Studios, we had the most amazing wedding ever. It was everything we wished it would have been and more....and we have the pictures to prove it.

I've received more calls than I can count from guests who insist that this was, without a doubt, the best wedding reception they've ever attended. Our Event Coordinator was Rocco, and his attention to detail was incredible. My husband and I were married in their gorgeous chapel overlooking the water, and from the moment we arrived on the day of the wedding until we left nearly twelve hours later, we were treated like royalty. Everything was taken care of and flawlessly executed. Our only job that day was to sit back and relax and enjoy every minute of what turned out to be an extraordinary celebration that none of us will ever forget. Glen Island was absolutely the best vendor we had chosen for our wedding! We live in manhattan, and in comparison to hotels in manhattan, glen island was really a great value for the 5-star service that we got. Our families are very particular eaters, and they only had praises for the food. Glen island served a lot of food as well -- every guest was stuffed at the end of the evening.

I haven't mentioned that the club is located in the middle of glen island park, with a view of the long island sound -- a view we simply could not find in manhattan. The facility was recently renovated so the banquet halls look new and have spectacular lighting installed.

Glen island was worth every penny I paid, and I would recommend it to anyone!

We chose Glen Island because of the location and view. We worked with Rodney who was great. They were very professional to work with. We didn't eat much that night, but we heard that the food at the cocktail hour was great. Our main course was really delicious, and the bite that I had of the cake was really great. Other people told us the food was all really good. The one thing that was slightly lacking was the service. The waiters weren't as attentive as they could have been, but the only reason we found out is because my dad used to own a restaurant, and is really picky about that stuff. Overall we would definitely recommend Glen Island to other people. Our guests were raving about the great view.

We were here for a wedding in September 2007. Gorgeous location, cocktail hour food was awesome, the ceremony site was beautiful and the main reception site with dance floor was gorgeous as well.

I can't really complain about the place, EXCEPT for the service. The servers were VERY rude... one girl literally flung the roll onto my plate, thus causing my champagne glass to fall and splatter all over my salad. She didn't apologize, just said that she'd bring me another one. Another girl dropped a knife and tapped my husband and asked him to pick it up while he was eating. At the end, I had another girl throw the piece of cake onto my table and somehow it happened to land under my dinner napkin. They are a piece of work.

I cannot say enough positive things about this venue!!! On the day of my wedding I did not have to think about ANYTHING!!!! Everything was done and done right. Things ran smoothly and if there were snags in the day....I still don't know about them and it's been 20 months. Everyone still raves about the food...the best wedding food we've ever had. It was a great, great day!!!
