Golden Scroll Soloists were our ceremony musicians at our wedding in October. They were amazing at our wedding and we received so many compliments from our guests about our music. Kevin was awesome to work with and he was very responsive to emails and phone calls. We also had a pianist for our ceremony and Kevin worked with our pianist to finalize the music choices for us without needing our involvement so that made the experience less stressful for us. Overall, Golden Scroll Soloists are very talented musicians. They are very professional and are very prompt. We highly recommend them.

Our ceremony music was beautiful!!! We had one song selection that wasn't on their website and they had no problem arranging it for our wedding day. Not only did they sound wonderful, but the Golden Scroll soloists were easy to work with and communicated well with me and my coordinator to make sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding. Kevin and his group did a truly amazing job at our wedding! Their website was super useful just to get an idea of what they sounded like, and when I asked for some minor alterations to the speed of the song, it was no problem! I walked down the aisle just as I always imagined. It was great to discuss things with Kevin before the wedding, although they are so professional and you don't need to know much about music, they will fill in the the songs to play based on the style you like. I give them my highest recommendation!!

Kevin, our music coordinator, was very friendly and helpful. He was willing to meet with us beforehand, and was very knowledgable about what music is best for different parts of the ceremony. The quartet showed up on time, looked great, sounded great, and were very friendly. I definitely recommend these guys.

Kevin was an excellent coordinator and helped us pick great music for the ceremony. The other musicians were professional as well and the music was beautiful! Kevin even met with us before the event and arranged our special song to be played as I walked down the aisle! Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend the Golden Scroll Soloists.

The musicians of the Golden Scroll Soloists were very professional and easy to get along with. I was originally in contact with another ceremony music vendor who quoted similar services at a similar price, but after weeks of phone tag, no e-mail response, and unanswered questions, I gave up. I then ran across the Golden Scroll Soloists at knot.com. I was skeptical at first because they just started business in 2009, but they were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions immediately.
They assigned me a wedding music coordinator, who was the violist in my string trio. He even offered to meet me in person to discuss songs, which no other vendor seemed to offer. He was very cordial, and was very knowledgable about which songs work well for different parts of the ceremony. Within 15 minutes at a coffee shop, all our music was set.
On the wedding day they arrived exactly when they said they would, and did a splendid job. They dressed very professionally- which, by the way, they even give you choices on what you would like them to wear! (I think it was formal or colorful- I chose the colorful option.)
All of my guests told me that the prelude music they played before we started was beautiful. These guys are new as a company, but the musicians have been doing this for years. I definitely recommend them!
Golden Scroll Soloists did a wonderful job maintaining the ambiance of the occasion at Kevin and Eryn's wedding reception Cocktail Hour. Their music selection was great; they made me want to sit and listen. The musicians were great to work with, prompt and were very professional. We perform all of the standard classical repertoire, plus popular music ranging from oldies by the Beatles and Elvis, to love songs by Journey, Cyndi Lauper, Celine Dion, or even Beyonce! If we don't have the piece you want in our repertoire and we can find it available in any form, we will arrange it for you!

FAQ for Golden Scroll Soloists
1.) FORMAL: The men wear black suits, white shirts, and black ties. The women wear long black dresses.
2.) FESTIVE: Men wear colored dress shirts and ties without a jacket. Women wear festive colored long dresses.
A: We perform for events in Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.
Q: Can you guys play outdoors?
A:Yes! About half of the weddings we play are outdoors. String instruments carry well, so there is no need for amplification.
Q: I don't know if I want a string quartet, trio, or soloist. Suggestions?
A: Most people determine the size of their ensemble based on their budget. The more musicians there are the fuller the sound will be. A string quartet consists of two violinists, a violist, and cellist. A string trio consists of a violinist, violist, and cellist. A violin soloist is a nice touch for small, intimate weddings, but a larger group is suggested for larger events. Visit our website for sample comparisons.

Q: Can we meet in person before our wedding?
A: Yes, your music coordinator will meet you for a free consultation before your wedding once your signed contract is returned. We are based in Irvine, California, and are willing to meet with clients in the Irvine or Tustin areas. A live consultation is not required, so if you live a great distance from Irvine, don't sweat it! Since we service a large geographic area, about 75% of our clients are satisfied with phone and e-mail consultations.
Q: What is your payment policy?
A: We ask that a $25 deposit be returned with the contract to reserve the date. The balance is due on the day of the event, before services are rendered.
($25 deposit does not apply if you contracted before 4/10/10)
Q: I don't know a lot about wedding music- will you help me?
A: Of course! We can set up an in-person consultation, and can be in contact as much as needed by e-mail and phone.
