I was crazy about picking the perfect band. I dragged my family and fiancee to several bars to hear the various bands in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. To hear everyone compliment the band during and after our wedding was the greatest compliment of all. They are wonderful about learning songs that are important and special to you. They were a lot of fun. I was 100% impressed and would recommend them to anyone who wants a live band that gives you lots of energy and keeps everyone on the dance floor from start to finish. Thanks Good Question for throwing us an unforgettable party!!

Additional Advice
Good Question Band leader Bruce Cline has been performing for corporate events, weddings, festivals and more for over 25 years. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to each event which is a valuable tool in making each unique event a tremendous success.

Every wedding reception is different, however there are several lessons learned over the years that will help assure your evening is a smooth, fun and stress-free party.

In advance of the event, we will meet with the venue director or wedding coordinator to go over staging and power requirements and load in/out procedures (indicated below*). If you don't have a coordinator, we will work with you to tailor the evening to your specifics. Details such as cake cutting, toasts, bouquet and garter toss, food and beverage arrangements for the band, etc., will be detailed and planned in advance. (You will receive a form to fill out in advance that will detail all of these items of concern)

Good Question will perform 3 hours of music over a 4 hour period. We will arrange our set and break schedules in accordance with your wishes, but have found that four, 45 minute sets with 20 minute breaks tends to work best. Of course, you may have special circumstances and we will do our best to accommodate as long as we make prior arrangements. During breaks we will play CD's covering various styles of music choosing songs from our collection, or you may bring your own.

A traditional wedding reception generally flows as follows:

As guests arrive, the band begins playing the perfect blend of cocktail music including instrumentals and vocal tunes covering the big band era to today’s contemporary light jazz songs.

As the bridal party arrives, it’s typically customary to introduce the bride and groom for the first dance. Some couples choose to do this when they arrive while others wait until after dinner. We will be happy to announce the bridal party along with the bride and groom as long as we are provided with a list of names and the order to be introduced. A father / daughter dance and sometimes a mother / son dance typically follow the couple’s first dance. Of course, all of this is subject to you or your coordinators direction from our prior meeting and discussions.

Good Question will be happy to perform “your song” for your special dance. Please make sure we have the song at least one month in advance of the event so we’ll have adequate time to prepare. We’ll do the same for father / daughter and mother / son dances as well. Please review our songlist and indicate songs you definitely want performed as well as those you don’t feel would be appropriate.

Good Question will work with you to make sure your reception meets or exceeds the wedding of your dreams!

A 50% deposit is required upon the signing of the performance agreement in order to secure the date. The remaining 50% is due immediately prior to the group taking the stage.

Staging and power requirements:

Good Question Band is a self sufficient group. We own and operate our own $30K sound and lighting show which always ensures a great and consistent sound. You can be assured when you preview the band that the same sound equipment, lighting and sound/light technicians will be in place at your event.

*Minimum of three (3), dedicated 30 amp circuits or four (4), dedicated 20 amp circuits.

*18' by 24' staging area whenever possible (some venues have smaller staging areas and we will do our best to accommodate)
