Gordon was great to work with on my wife's engagement ring. He listened to me about what I wanted to create based on my then fiancee's feedback, and then sketched out what he thought I was looking for.

His ability to accurately conceptualize my vision was unique - just like the engagement ring he ended up making. Both my wife and I are extremely happy with the finshed product - it's gorgeous and we know it's one-of-a-kind!

We create engagement and wedding rings and bands that are timeless in design and made to express your style! Our clients enjoy the benefit of our award-winning design sense and expertise as we guide you through the process and collaborate with you to create your perfect ring!

All gemstones and diamonds in our designs are fairly traded and the precious metals used are from recycled sources. We can incorporate your existing diamonds, gemstones and gold or platinum in our designs. We specialize in creating wedding bands to complement engagement rings. Modern, traditional, classic or an antique style, our one of a kind designs are created to last more than a lifetime.

Gordon Aatlo is known world wide for his creativity, ingenuity and for the inventiveness of his designs. His designs are recognizable throughout the industry, although no two are ever the same. He is one of the few recognizable designers to produces his own work, from concept to the finished piece, all accomplished in his studio in San Carlos, California.

Is your jewelry hand crafted?

Our designs are developed in our studio from start to finish. We assist our clients in finding the perfect gemstone and/or diamond and create fine jewelry that is unique and of lasting quality and value.

Do you offer custom design other than selecting the stone and setting separately?

We develop the design and create a model for the client before creating the piece of jewelry. The model gives our client the opportunity to try on the piece before it is made. We will incorporate existing gemstones, diamonds and precious metals into a new design.

Do you carry customary wedding jewelry such as Claddaghs or Kundan necklaces?

Items of wedding jewelry from other companies and designers are available to us.

Do you offer ring sizing in-house? If yes, how long will an average custom order take, from initial contact to delivery?

Our studio is a working studio with goldsmiths and platinumsmiths on site. Often, with an advance notice, we can size a ring on the same day.

Do you offer stone upgrades if the client purchases their original stone with you?

We do offer upgrades. We also offer gold/platinum and gem/diamond credit towards a new design.

Do you offer a payment plan?

A layaway plan is available for 90 days for items in stock with no interest.

Gordon Aatlo Designs offers a relaxed and casual atmosphere and all projects are completed in our design studios. Restoration and repair service is available. Gordon is a Diamond and Colored Gemstone Specialist, as well as a Master Designer, Goldsmith and Platinumsmith.
