GOT LIGHT?

We used Got Light as our wedding lighting service and their level of sophistication and service is above and beyond any other vendor we found. They are very professional and we have a lot of confidence in this vendor

First, I'd like to say that if you are on the fence about whether or not you need lighting, go for the lighting. You will not regret it.

We had our wedding at the Golden Gate Club which is a nice space with pretty views but with lighting it is amazing. We were originally going to just get some uplighting but our caterer recommended pin spotting and in the end we added a few more extras - a dance floor wash and lighting for the trees outside the giant window of the main room. I was so glad we did this as the lighting really helped set the mood.

I would have given them five stars but while the lighting was five stars the service was three star. I was a bit irritated that they were unavailable for a walk through (the only meeting I had with them was the initial sales consultation before signing the contract) and I also had to repeatedly confirm and check details with them. For example, there were things we agreed over email that were not in the final contract and they got my colors wrong after I'd just emailed them through. I know that these may seem like small things but I expect a certain level of attention to detail.

I'd still recommend them for lighting - you may just need to exert a little patience and double check your contract to make sure everything is included.

We kept it simple with amber uplighting, pinlighting on the cupcakes and the backsplash on the wall.

Got Light was one of my favorite vendors, hands down. I loved working with them from start to finish: they were, without a doubt, the most professional and impressive team I contacted, and all of my other vendors were excited about working with them, too.

As the wedding approached, I met with the fabulous Irja at our venue, and we mapped out the possibilities together. Although we were getting married in the Sacramento Delta, Irja happily drove all the way from San Francisco just to get the details right.

When the day of the wedding finally came, I couldn't wait to see the lighting for myself. We had saved all of the lighting effects for the ballroom, downstairs from the reception, so it came as a marvelous surprise. It completely transformed the event space--even my father, who had thought the expense was unnecessary, was quite impressed and changed his mind!

This is one of the wedding expenses that I took partially upon myself, and it was worth every penny. I would definitely hire Got Light all over again!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jon and his team. They were so flexible on our actual wedding day. Due to weather or original lighting design had to reworked. Jon and his team went above and beyond to ensure that no flower, cake or corner was left unlit. We have a mixture of uplighting, chandeliers, gobos, and washes. They also handled all of our draping as well, giving our event a unified look.

Prior to the big day Jon and his team were responsive and accommodating. Whether we were meeting for our site walk through, initial creative consultation, or just picking the right gobo they were beside us and responding to us the entire time.

Lighting definitely helps set the mood on the big. Our reception would not have been the same without. I highly recommend working with Got Light?

I was hesitant to book lighting for my venue given both the price and the fact that my venue already had some partial lighting. However accent lighting aka uplighting truly helps to create warmth and a dreamy feel. Under the tent, Got Light hung these great white lanterns from the top of the tent (it turned out great!) and they did soft lighting inside the tent itself to highlight our colors. For our candy buffet and cake table, the up lighting accentuated both. We also had uplighting in the area located outside of the bathrooms in our color and it looked really nice. In short, if you have the budget and are looking to create warmth and a soft glow in an outside environment (similar to mine), lighting definitely makes a difference and I encourage you to look into Got Light?
