Grace was terrific. I brought her an off-the-rack silk gown in blush that had already been altered for me. It was pretty dingy when I brought it in, definitely looked off-the-rack! It also had a pen mark and some spots. When I got it back 1 week later, it was perfect. Not a hint that it had ever been tried on - it looked brand new! In fact, Grace called a few days beforehand to ask to keep it an extra 2 days because they had found some additional spots that we had not noted and wanted to make sure they had it as clean as possible. Grace went above and beyond again when she instructed me on the packing of my gown for my destination wedding - even though I did not buy the destination gown bag that they sell! Instead, she gave me plastic and lots of tissue and careful notes on how to put it into my own garment bag - it came out great. She even gave me some stain stick/brush just in case of spills. All of this for about $76! She did give me a discount for working with The Bride's Project, a non-profit in Toronto that sells donated gowns for a cause... you'll be able to find my wedding gown there soon! I definitely recommend Grace for gown cleaning and thank The Bride's Project for the excellent reference.

Fantastic! We drove from Hamilton, ON to Grace Gown Care after reading VERY positive reviews on the service and professionalism of these gown care specialists. After a reception in the Caribbean my intricate lace dress was heavily soiled with dust and dirt. Grace was amazing from the time we arrived -- she hung up the dress, inspected it, explained any observed damage and assessed the severity of soiling. My wedding dress was a bit more complicated since it had a silk lining which cannot get wet (it shrinks) - so Grace cleaned the liner and the lace separately with phenomenal results. I would recommend her again and again!!!!
Having faith in our gown cleaners is essential at The Brides' Project since we accept donations from donors who have had a lot of fun and happiness while wearing their gowns. We have been so fortunate to find Grace Cleaners, and send all our brides to them to have their cleaning needs met. Grace and her team exceed all our expectations, and give us the confidence we need to sell used gowns and KNOW that brides will be satisfied with the results. They make a huge difference to our business here, and we are extremely grateful for their expertise.

FAQ for Grace Wedding Gown Specialists - gown care
Return your gown with the seal unbroken to any Wedding Gown Specialist, who will inspect and press the gown at no charge. Breaking the seal without the supervision of a Wedding Gown Specialist may cause damage and compromise the true preservation of our gown.
Preservation:
After the gown has been cleaned and finished, the next step is the packaging. We use acid-free tissue to protect your gown and seal it in a premium-quality box with an acid-free acetate window for viewing.
Restoration:
If the perfect dress for you, the one worn by your mother or grandmother, is yellowed and marked with stains that ordinary dry cleaning cannot remove, we renew the family gown with our unique restoration process. Something ?old? can be something ?new? for your wedding or for baby?s christening.
Free Evaluation
We will gladly give you a free consultation and estimate for the care of any fabric, new or old.
Handcleaning:
We hand treat and clean each gown individually - never in combination with other dresses. We take every precaution to protect delicate beads, embroidery, and lace during the cleaning process.
Anti-sugar Stain Treatment:
Spills containing sugar, salt, and acid often dry clear and cannot be seen. These latent stains do not dissolve during ordinary dry cleaning and turn an ugly brown over time. Our unique “Anti-Sugar Stain Treatment”, featured in Modern Bride and Bride’s, ensures that all sugar, salt and acid - seen or unseen - is removed.
Personal Inspection:
You may arrange to inspect your gown before the true preservation is completed.
Environmentally-Pure, Lasting Protection:
Vacuum or plastic seals and other acidic materials damage gowns. We use acid-free tissue to protect your gown and seal it in a premium-quality box with an acid-free acetate window for viewing your treasure.
For very special care of your wedding gown…
Always… hang your gown by loops inside the gown that are connected to sturdy side seams, never by the fragile shoulder seams that can stretch or sag.
Always… avoid storing your gown in plastic bags or vacuum-sealed, plastic wrapped containers because plastic emits fumes that can yellow the gown and trap moisture that mildews the gown.
Always… ask what precautions the specialist takes to protect delicate trims and decorations and how the cleaner guards against latent stains.
Always… choose a specialist who will personally process your gown, never one who sends your gown away to be cleaned.
Always… ask to inspect your gown personally before it is put into the container, which should be a pH neutral or acid-free box lined with fabric or acid-free tissue.
Always… avoid storing your gown in the attic or basement where there are extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
