We had the wedding ceremony in the garden between the mansion and the Carriage House followed by the reception in the Carriage House. Everything was fantastic. The staff at Gramercy was easy to work with. They made everything easy from the start all the way through to the end. Bill Duffy did the ceremony. We couldn't of asked for a more picture perfect day.

My husband and I fell in love with Gramercy Mansion when we first found it online and continued to feel better and better about our choice throughout our whole wedding experience. Gramercy was the perfect size and feel for our guests--it accommodated our guest list of about 140 people and served as a beautiful venue that stood on its own in terms of decoration. Our guests loved being able to move throughout the house during our reception. The gardens were gorgeous and perfectly tended for our early October ceremony. The staff at Gramercy was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our sporadic drop-in visits. They were very enjoyable to work with throughout our planning and made helpful vendor recommendations. My husband and I spent our wedding night in the Cassatt Suite (which was beautiful) and were treated to a delicious fireside private breakfast in the morning. We truly enjoyed our stay, were so happy to have picked Gramercy for our wedding, and hope to return for anniversaries to come!

Gramercy Mansion was an outstanding ceremony and reception location. If you want a ceremony set outdoors in beautiful gardens with a no-stress inclement weather back-up plan, then Gramercy is the perfect choice. We thought the value was reasonable, and the quirkiness of the bed and breakfast itself is endearing. We spent the night there after our wedding, and we loved the accommodations and the breakfast the next day. The comment we heard most frequently from our guests was what a great place for a wedding this was and how'd we find it. The folks at Gramercy are so kind and willing to answer questions too. It was most definitely the perfect choice for our wedding!

Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day. But I cannot imagine a better place to be on a rainy wedding day. Gramercy was still amazing and beautiful and worked with us to make sure our day was special. The staff was wonderful. We will definitely go back to celebrate our one year anniversary. Thank you Gramercy for making our stay and our special day memorable.

Even though it rained on our wedding, Gramercy was amazing and beautiful with the ceremony on the terrace. It still has the out door feel. The staff has great costumer service and we will definitely be going back to stay for the bed and breakfast. Camelot room is amazing!!!

This place was truly magical.... It was one of the most amazing places I could have ever picked for our wedding. The tree out front really made for some awesome photo op's as well. Since Gramercy Mansion it self doesn't provide much more than venue/tables/chairs etc for the day of the wedding, I don't have much to review. Jen & Cristin were always helpful and sweet throughout the process. I also stayed in the Blue Garden Suite the night before so I could wake up with my girls to get ready. Breakfast in bed was amazing :) The morning after the wedding us and a few guests had breakfast at the mansion and since it was nice outside we got to eat it on the porch. I can't wait to come back an visit to see my brick with out names and year. Thanks so much Gramercy!

Mother nature and the owners of Gramercy Mansion had a special day in store for our wedding. April 14, 2011 was sandwiched between rain and cold temperatures. The rehearsal, a full 24 hours before the wedding was cold and wet. We were nervous! However, the day turned out perfect. It was 70 degrees, the flowers were in full bloom, the magnolias were out and the Gramercy staff was there to witness their first outdoor wedding of the season. The mansion sets up beautifully on the inside and outside and we were able to enjoy the splendor of them both. The ceremony was outside (gorgeous) and the reception was on the inside (even more gorgeous). We also stayed in the Cassatt Suite - can you say romantic! As a bonus, we will get a brick memorializing our wedding day at the Gramercy. We will certainly favor the Gramercy Mansion with future events. It was awesome.

It was a beautiful place to hold a wedding!

I truly cannot imagine anyone ever giving Gramercy anything less than 5 stars. The staff, particularly Bill and Cristin, were amazing to work with and were constantly at our side asking us if we needed anything. Our room reservations and breakfast service were flawless, for myself and all of our wedding guests who stayed in the B&B. Gramercy staff bent over backwards for my family and me, even going so far as to setting up some surprises in our wedding-night room. The romance package is well worth the money, with roses, rose petals, and candles all through the room and bathroom, it definitely made for a romantic wedding night. The whole Gramercy staff was wonderful. Breakfast was perfect (and yes, the pancakes are AMAZING!!!), and a fun time was had by all. We had 100 guests at our wedding, and Gramercy was just the perfect size -- not to mention absolutely gorgeous. Many people remarked that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. Since Gramercy works frequently with our caterer and DJ, they all had a wonderful rapport with each other, which made for an even more seamless evening. At the end of the night, they helped our caterer box up the extra food and cake per my request, and placed it with the gifts and gift cards. My only near-complaint is that our groomsmen and the groom ended up moving things after the wedding, as there was no one from Gramercy or the caterer around to assist, but considering the rest of the evening, it was a small thing.Thanks, Gramercy, for a beautiful setting for the most beautiful day of our lives.

The Gramercy Mansion truly speaks for itself...such a beautiful and unique venue with tons of character! We are so thrilled we had our special day here! We had a Friday night wedding...the weather was beautiful...and the reception was simply amazing. I stayed there the night before the wedding and got ready with my bridesmaids in one of the suites. The room was beautiful and was a perfect backdrop for our "getting ready" photos. We took tons of pictures in the beautiful gardens. My husband and I also stayed the night of the wedding and we just can't imagine a more perfect place for a wedding night! I can't recommend the Gramercy enough...well worth the price...and a place we will revisit often in the future!!!

I just got married at The Gramercy Mansion on 10/2/09. We had such an amazing time as did my family and guests!! The main areas of the mansion are beautiful and each of the bedrooms has such exquisite detail and are so unique that make each one fun to see! The garden where our wedding ceremony was held has gorgeous flowers which creates the most intimate setting for such a special event. The staff was very accommodating, professional and prompt with answering questions. In particular, Bill Duffy. He was the first person my husband and I met when considering The Gramercy and he made us feel very welcome. My husband and I chose to do a Native American ceremony with a shaman but also wanted to incorporate traditional Christian vows. Bill is a minister and we are so happy we chose him to do incorporate this into our ceremony. He was so organized and combined both traditions to make them go together seamlessly. A lot of our guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding ceremony they had ever been to!Another point to mention is how helpful The Gramercy website is in planning this big event. They have a preferred vendors listing which made it easy for me to limit who to chose. I used all of their recommendations and was very happy with each of them. I much also say that the breakfast the next morning is delicious for those guests lucky enough to stay there! The Gramercy truly made my wedding day unforgettable!

The Gramercy mansion is unbelievably gorgeous and unique, with its antique and quirky vibe and interior, and beautiful gardens with colorful flowers and lush grass and trees overlooking Greenspring valley. Every staff member was helpful and accommodating, and the feel is relaxed, welcoming and makes you feel at home.

We fell in love with this venue while snow was on the ground and everything in the garden was dead. We held our wedding in May with the garden looking perfect. The staff were there but in no way were they "in the way"... The venue was beautiful. The staff throughout the entire process were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to do some things we wanted and didn't mind that the party went a tad over schedule. I HIGHLY recommend this venue!! We'll be coming back for our 1 year anniversary to stay in the Cassatt Suite again!!(We booked out the entire mansion including all guest rooms)

Simply unbelieveable! Gramercy met all of our expectations and more! The staff was outstanding and the venue was perfect for our wedding. Our family still talks about the friendly staff and mansion spledor of our wedding day! Heather, our offciant, was helpful and professional. Shannon, our wedding helper, was like a part of the family! We enjoyed the experience so much we intend on returning for our anniversary!

Gramercy Mansion is the most beautiful site I could have picked for my ceremony and reception. The pictures are stunning of my wedding. The staff was always helpful when I had a question and very professional.

Every person at our wedding commented on how beautiful the mansion was, and what a unique venue it was for a wedding. The atmosphere is perfect for a party, and people felt a lot more comfortable than they would in a ballroom setting.

Gramercy was wonderful from start to finish. I received prompt responses to all questions and felt like they really worked with me to make the day perfect. It is a beautiful venue and even has 11 rooms for guests to spend the night, which was great.

The most beautiful place ever. Most mansions that you rent are not furnished but this place also functions as an active bed and breakfast and so was beautifully decorated and lanscaped. All my guest wowed about it for weeks after. THe best comment I go was from my mom who said it was like I had a "Platinum Wedding", when I knew I didn't pay "platinum prices".

I absolutely loved Gramercy Mansion for many different reasons. It was within a couple moments of being there and feeling the comforts of home. We spent 2 nights at Gramercy and absolutely hated it when check out time came. It was like you were royalty there. The staff was overwhelmingly helpful and accomodating to our specific needs due to being out of state and many of our guests being from out of state. Breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning (so good)! Bill was our officiant and he was nothing shy of perfect. From making sure we were checked in to making sure we had places to change and get ready to his service as our officiant. Everything was more than perfect and I can not thank Gramercy enough! Absolutely 5 star fantastic!

Gramercy was the perfect storybook setting for our wedding reception. The rooms were so beautiful and comfortable. The patio was absolutely stunning for our dinner. Our guests enjoyed going from room to room. We also stayed overnight in the Camelot Suite. It was the perfect wedding night retreat. We were served a fantastic breakfast the next morning.

The Gramercy Mansion was the perfect place for our wedding. We had the ceremony in the garden, the cocktail hour outside on the back lawn, dinner on the patio and then dancing in the side room. All the guests kept commenting on what an amazing place the Gramercy was and lovely everything was kept. At first I was concerned that the dancing room would be too small but it was a perfect size (trust me was had tons of people dancing). I was so thankful for the help that they gave us on the day of - from telling the makeup/flower people where we were to helping with sending people down the aisle. Bill Duffy, who works for the Gramercy, was our officiant and couldn't have been more helpful with giving us ideas and planning the perfect ceremony for us. His sense of humor may not be for all but you should know at the end of the day if you work with him you will have a perfect cememony at the Gramercy. My husband and I are already planning our stay for our first anniversary!

The Gramercy Mansion was the absolute most magical place to get married. We loved it and so did our guests. The staff could not have been more helpful and sweet to us in our planning and calls to ask questions. A big shout out to Maria whose personality and charm in showing us the location and warmth when always greeting us and talking to us made the choice a dream come true. A beautiful place, picturesque and nice people. Who could ask for more! The only item I would mention to brides is make sure that you pick a time and coordinate it with room check in as I had my wedding early and although Gramercy could ensure we had one room available to get dressed prior to the wedding it was touch and go so I ended up having my hair and make up done at home before arriving. There is not a real dressing area other than reserving a room so you need to plan for that :) That is the only "gotcha" I can think of and with no doubt, I would do it all again in a minute! I will definitely be back. They are the best :)

The Gramercy was absolutely beautiful and the staff members were great. Mr. Bill gave us a tour of the Gramercy and the grounds and we fell in love (and he was hilarious and a wonderful host!). The staff members were very quick with responding to any and all questions we had and were very accommodating. They had our room ready hours in advance so we could settle in and start getting ready for the big day. Definitely a place to have your wedding if you are looking for a place that is unique, with great gardens, nice and helpful staff, and an unbelievable day! It is a little on the pricey side but totally worth it! I recommend staying in the Cassatt Suite the night of the wedding. Absolutely gorgeous and big enough for a bridal party of nine brides maids and the bride to get ready comfortably!

Everyone loved the location!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Gramercy Mansion. From day one of planning they were so helpful and accomodating! The place was beautiful, and my DJ even commented that the Gramercy is her personal favorite site for a wedding. All of my guests commented on how great the place was. The thing I like the best about Gramercy is that it is unique and has its own charm, but also that its a bed and breakfast so we can always go back and celebrate our anniversary at the place we were married. I highly recommend the Gramercy to anyone!

I could not have asked for a better wedding. The day went great and if there were any issues or concerns they were taken care of without bothering the bride. Through the planning process my questions were promptly answered and the professionalism was perfect. I would recommend this venue to anyone who asks.

Gramercy Mansion was absolutely beautiful. It was the first place we went to see after getting engaged and immediately fell in love. I know I overused the word whimsical when describing how I wanted my wedding to feel, and getting married in the gardens definitely created the atmosphere I was looking for. Everyone was so pleasant to work with and the room that we rented for the wedding was absolutely gorgeous. All of our guest commented on how beautiful the setting was. I don't think we could have found a more perfect place to get married.

Gramercy Mansion and B&B was the perfect setting for our wedding reception, despite the fact that there was a steady downpour of rain throughout the entire event! Gramercy's staff was very responsive and professional - they always responded to our emails right away and they were willing to work with us in every way they could. My only criticism is that I wish there was more variety on the caterer's list that was provided. We were required to use a caterer from the approved list and there were no caterers on the list who could cook the cuisine we wanted (soul food). Nevertheless, the B&B was lovely and we had a wonderful wedding.

You will find no other place as beautiful as the Gramercy mansion! The pictures say it all! We had a little worry when the rain came everyday for three days before the wedding but with some hard work and sunshine we were able to have our dream wedding outside! It is a bit pricy for what is included compared to many other venues but it will serve for the perfect venue for reception and ceremony!

The staff at the Gramercy were exceptional at making sure everything for the big day went as planned. They were accomodating and friendly. All of my guests raved about the setting and are looking at forward to booking a stay there for themselves. They were gracious throughout the entire process and up until the last minute we were there.

Gramercy Mansion could not have been a more perfect setting for our wedding ceremony and reception. All of the guest commented on how beautiful the place was. The ceremony in the garden was gorgeous, and all of the flowers were just beginning to bloom. The reception in the terrace was just as perfect with the weather being nice the terrace was open. It allowed for a more romantic feeling. It is nice that it is a Bed and Breakfast as well because we were able to just go straight up the stairs at the end of the evening. It would have been nice if the night of the wedding was included in the price of the venue somehow. The breakfast the next morning was very delicious and fresh. While looking and picking a venue, Gramercy allowed me to come as many times as I wanted. Even after I picked it and put down a deposit. I have friends and family from all over, but whenever any of them came to town I would show them Gramercy. The staff are extremely nice and understanding of how important this day meant to me.

We didn't want a big wedding so we decided to elope. We happened to come across The Gramercy Mansion online and it was the best decision ever. Although it was only a short car ride to the heart of Baltimore, it felt like we were in another world. The grounds were so peaceful and beautiful and every single person we came across was nice. The breakfast they served was seriously some of the best food I've ever tasted. I would highly recommend The Gramercy to anyone, regardless if you're getting married or just want to get away for a couple of days. It's such a wonderful place. We plan on going back next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary.

Gramercy Mansion is an absolutely wonderful wedding venue. Even our most discerning guests were impressed! As architects, both my husband and I were impressed with the facility and the history. We also loved that as a bed & breakfast, it was fully furnished and decorated. This made it more comfortable for our guest and we were able to scale back on our floral needs.There was hurricane three days before our wedding and due to the superior service at Gramercy, we were still able to have our ceremony outdoors in the garden. Nobody could tell the weather had been anything but beautiful!We also spent our wedding night at Gramercy, in the Tower Room. It was very romantic.If you'd like some fun or silly photos on your wedding day...we had our florist wrap flowers around the ropes of the tree swing out in the circle in front of the mansion. Our photographer took photos while we were playing and swinging, laughing all the while. Ah...memories.

Site was beautiful! I was able to save on my florist costs because of all the natural beauty. There are already flowers surrounding the ceremony site and they have lots of hanging plants on the terrace (reception area). I only needed wedding party flowers and some for the centerpieces/tables. The rooms are a bit pricey to stay in, but the bride & groom do get a discount. It would have been nice if they did a little extra for the bride & groom's room at the end of the night - like maybe some flowers, rose petals, wine, or something. They do offer that you can "buy" those extras. We had many guests comment that it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to. The place was perfect and our wedding was breathtaking...I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Gramercy mansion was a beautiful venue for our wedding. We particularly liked the outdoor ceremony area. Our wedding was on the evening of Sept 4th, and everything was in bloom and looked spectacular! The english tudor style mansion itself was beautiful and very unique as well. The mansion has so many quirky and cool artifacts that we decided to create a scavenger hunt for the kids (which adults played too), which was a hit! There is a large covered terrace on the back of the house which is where most people were seated for dinner, and it also would have been the back up rain ceremony area. The only time our 170 guests slightly overwhelmed the house was while we were dancing in the side room. People were definitely spilling out of that room, but people didn't seem to mind. We also really liked the convenience of having the ceremony area, reception area, and lodging all in one location. That took a lot of stress out of the day and probably saved some money. We worked with Bill Duffy to arrange everything at Gramercy for our wedding day, and he was also our officiant. He was very accommodating in both of those roles. Overall, we had an awesome experience, and we would recommend this venue to anyone who really enjoys being connected to the outdoors, and likes a unique setting.

The staff at the Gramercy were very accommadating on our special day. They were friendly and they set up beautifully. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and went as planned!

If you are getting married in late spring, summer, or early Fall, this place is magical and will create a fairy-tale wedding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is expensive, but creates a backdrop for a wedding like none other. Unfortunately, they don't have a room for you to get ready in, so you have to pay to check-in to a room and either you and new hubby stay there, or a family member might want to. We chose the Blue Room Suite which overlooks the ceremony site and has plenty of room for all your bridesmaids and moms, etc. We got to watch the guests from our room as they arrived, so that was pretty cool. You also have to pay extra if you want to have the ceremony outside! You would think that for the price that you could get ready there and the ceremony would be included, but it wasn't. However, everything was worth the money because it was so gorgeous. I also wish that we could have rented it longer, but the 11pm cut-off is understandable since there are other guests who are staying the night there. Breakfast in the morning was DELICIOUS!!! And you get to sit there and reflect on the previous night's events in the same spot where it all just happened, which was really cool to be able to do.

Beautiful location. Our guests are still raving about the garden-style setting and the ceremony surrounded by flowers! We loved the Mansion and are looking forward to returning on our one-year anniversay to stay in their rooms again. Rooms are a bit pricey.

We had our ceremony only at The Gramercy Mansion in the Lower Gardens. It was absolutely beautiful! The gardens were well kept, and the flowers were breathtaking! We said "I do" in front of a beautiful trellis owned by the mansion; the chairs were set up wonderfully for the intimate ceremony. The staff was fabulous. They endured all my phone calls, visits, and questions as the special day grew closer. We also stayed the night in the Tudor Room, and the service was outstanding! (Breakfast was fabulous too)!!! The ceremony only set-up was a little pricey, I thought, even though it is relatively comparable to other places. I would still recommend this location to others looking for a beautiful, joyous place (whether inside or outside) to make their vows to one another. I will have such precious memories of our wedding day thank to the staff and the setting.

Provided us with the perfect place for the wedding and reception. Weather was fantastic, ceremony and setting was beautiful. A definite recommendation to those looking for a picturesque event.

This was a beautiful place to have a wedding! The staff there was so helpful and friendly. We were able to visit several times to look at the space, and could do so on very short notice. They have several officiants on staff who (for an extra fee) can perform your ceremony. This is also a bed and breakfast, so we were able to stay here on our wedding night, and our families were also able to stay here. The breakfast is also amazing! I'd highly recommend Gramercy if you're looking for a somewhat eclectic, yet elegant country location that is very convenient to get to in the Baltimore area.

The Gramercy Mansion had everyting we were looking for in a wedding venue. Their grounds and gardens are incredible for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour but the inside of the mansion was just as beautiful which meant that nothing would be compromised if weather mandated that we'd have to be indoors. Luckily the weather was perfect.The ceremony area is not crowed but perfectly framed by the gardens making it extremely intimate amongst the vast and lush grounds. And their dinner area was what sold me. The patio is basically outside but has a permanent tent roof in case of any bad weather. The open arches are filled with giant fern plants and other glowers which means you don't need a lot of flowers to improve the area.The staff at the Mansion was always available and knew weddings there like old pros, putting to rest any stress or questions I had about it. Their B&B rooms are unbelievable, each one unique and indulgent.My only gripe would be that we had to end our wedding by 11pm. This is standard for most places but it still would have been nice to dance for another hour. Though we were all welcome to hang out there the rest of the night.The cost for the Mansion wasn't cheap and you have to pay extra for the ceremony and addition time but it was well worth it. I think the place really inspired the entire day. I would certainly recommend this place for any wedding.

First I will explain my only negative comment to get it out of the way: it was difficult to get a hold of them several times and an email address for the manager(s) would have been nice! It turns out I probably did not "need" to get a hold of them and they call you if they have any questions/comments. No news is good news! But it would have eased my pre-wedding jitters a bit! And now for the rave review!Gramercy Mansion is a beautiful setting for the most important day of your life! The staff handle every aspect of your wedding, and allowed me to enjoy planning for my wedding. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is delicious! Gramercy provided a romantic, unique, and breathtaking wedding ceremony and will always hold a special place in my heart.

We had a wonderful experience working with the staff at Gramercy Mansion. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. I would recommend an outdoor ceremony, as the grounds are beautiful. Much better looking outside than inside. The camelot room is very romantic. The stuffed goats are disturbing.

We had both our ceremony and reception at the Carriage House at Gramercy Mansion. With our budget and our smaller guest list, this was an ideal venue. The outdoor ceremony space was perfect for us, and the Carriage House itself was just what we needed for our reception.

The Gramercy Mansion provided a wonderful ceremony and reception venue for us for our wedding over Labor Day weekend. The grounds in both the front and back of the B&B are carefully tended and stunning, particularly in the spring and summer. Although bad weather threatened all morning on our wedding day, we lucked out and had no rain at the time of our 5 pm outdoor ceremony, which was held in Gramercy's lower garden filled with blooming flowers, down a gradual series of brick steps. In that sort of setting, we did not need any other additional ceremony decorations. Afterwards, our guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the back lawn, ate dinner in the covered patio, and were free to roam around the inn and grounds during the reception. So many people commented on how unique and beautiful the venue was, and appreciated that they weren't all stuck in one room for the whole night.It should be noted that Gramercy is a bit pricey considering they do not provide you with much else besides the venue itself, tables, and chairs enough for 150 guests. Brides who wish to get ready on premises must book a room for that day. We reserved two rooms, one for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in (the Blue Garden Suite), and then a separate room for the groom and his groomsmen (the Country Room). I would highly recommend the Blue Garden Suite. It was not only incredibly spacious and luxurious, with three separate rooms and a spa tub in the bathroom, but also had a perfect view of the ceremony and cocktail hour sites behind the mansion. We had fun watching all our guests arriving and mingling together before the wedding began. Also, if you book a room, you are treated to a delicious, multi-course breakfast the next morning. In terms of service and flexibility, the venue was helpful and accommodating. On the plus side, Gramercy allowed us to check into the men's getting-ready room early on the wedding day, and also permitted our liquor supplier to drop off the alcohol at noon on the day of the wedding. On the minus side, they were unwilling to store some of our other wedding-related items, such as favors, table numbers, and the guestbook the night before. Gramercy also requires you to pick from a list of approved caterers, but the list is fairly extensive and includes several affordable vendors.Overall, we were very pleased with our choice and I would certainly recommend Gramercy to any bride looking for a beautiful and memorable ceremony and reception location.

We loved the Gramercy! Our guests did too! We stayed the night and it was so nice to have our room right there to crash in and a lovely breakfast the next morning. The ceremony site is so lovely and natural, you don't need any extra decorations. The dancing room was also the perfect size, small enough that it felt intimate, but not too small that there wasn't enough room for people to shake a tail feather. Only complaints are (1) you can't stay too late, I think we had to be done by 11pm and I would have loved another hour to dance with my friends I hadn't seen in years and (2) I didn't really feel like there was one person who knew my wedding there...I got passed around to different people for different things, but...someone always answered the phone promptly and we got to tour when they were actually set up for a wedding, which was nice! Bonus perk, they engrave your name on a brick which lines their long walk, so you can come back to visit and reminisce whenever you feel like it! we can't wait to go back for a long weekend!

I really enjoyed my wedding, and the location was beautiful (despite the rain). The people who work at the Gramercy were very helpful in recommending other vendors to me and were always willing to let me come and view the location again so I got a good feel for the space. I highly recommend the Gramercy Mansion (in particular William Duffy, who is funny and nice and really helpful).

I learned about Gramercy Mansion after my first job out of college had their holiday party there. I instantly fell in love so when I learned that do wedding receptions, it was at the top of my list to look into. I looked at 3 other places, some that were definitely cheaper, but none of them had the warm and intimate feeling that I was going for. I knew I wanted to have as small of a wedding as I could and my 130 person wedding was perfect for the space. The staff was very flexible and helpful in the questions that we had. If you have less than 150 people attending your wedding, I would certainly recommend this venue.

Amazing amazing amazing! I just got married here last weekend and it could not have been more beautiful! And it rained. This is one of the only venues that has a great back up plan. The covered patio is gorgeous even in torrential rain! The twinkle lights definitely added to the dinner ambiance. Everyone at the Gramercy is enjoyable to work with. The only reason I rated them so low on flexibility is that they are not exactly go with the flow as far as scheduling. We had originally booked the whole inn for the weekend of the wedding so people could travel in on Friday. We found out a month before the wedding that the Gramercy planned a wine night and had opened up the rooms to outside guests. It all worked out, but that should not have happened. Then they misunderstood our rehearsal time and we had to pay $500 for an extra hour. These were really the only dramas with the wedding so I am thankful. All in all, I would suggest the Gramercy to anyone. The rooms are beautiful, the outside space is great for pictures, the breakfast is amazing.

Gramercy is absolutely beautiful! The new brick walkway makes for the perfect wedding aisle and the pictures are just amazing. I wouldn't have picked a different wedding location in a million years! The bed and breakfast feature made our wedding day just amazing. I totally recommend the Tutor Room, as it opens directly outside and makes for awesome preparation pictures and a great after-party!

The Gramercy Mansion was the first place we looked at for our wedding and we are very happy we chose them. The space is ideal for a mid-size wedding, and with the flexibility of their Terrace Room we could have an outdoor feeling wedding without having to be out in the elements. The rooms are very comfortable and homey and our guests really enjoyed the space. Also the house is beautifully decorated so we could have a lavish-feeling wedding without spending a fortune on floral services. And, the nice-sized grounds offer plenty of photo opportunities.

Overall this is a wonderful place to hold a wedding. Everyone was very helpful with questions and concerns before the event, and the day of went without a hitch as far as I'm aware. The only issue that bothered us was that when we booked this venue in June 2010 we were of the understanding we had a certain room held for my bridal party to get prepared in. Months passed and when I called over the winter to ask a couple questions/confirm the room, every single room had been held (not booked) by the other bride getting married in the carriage house and these rooms would not open back up to book until 6 weeks from our wedding date. When I expressed my serious concerns that not 1 room could be made available no one seemed to sympathize or do anything about it. A month or so later our caterer talked to them about it and all but 2 booked rooms opened up for us; the whole situation left us feeling really slighted. I don't think Gramercy allows people to hold rooms anymore without actually booking/paying for them though so this shouldn't be an issue for future brides-just make sure you confirm any rooms very early!All in all we're very glad we went with Gramercy. The following morning my husband and I had a wonderful breakfast delivered to our room, our friends/family who stayed over night also enjoyed their breakfast in the dining room, and we had a great time!

The Gramercy was a beautiful venue to host my wedding, and I was glad that we celebrated there. Several of my guests commented that mine was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. We had our evening ceremony in the Atrium, and our reception in the Atrium and rest of the mansion. It was a little tight for 110 people for the ceremony in the Atrium. As a place for guests to stay, the B&B was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious, breakfast was delicious, and they were very responsive to B&B guests' needs. We had some issues with the room reservations, though. If you decide to book the Gramercy for an evening wedding and want reserve the entire mansion for that night, I would definitely recommend not allowing guests to call in and reserve their own rooms. The availability of only 11 rooms and many parties who wanted to stay there made for a lot of complications in my usually uncomplicated family. I began the reservation process by allowing guests to call in their own reservations, but it would have been much simpler to assign the rooms myself (with input from families, of course). A couple of months before the big day, we asked the Gramercy to stop taking reservations from guests, but they mistakenly allowed a guest to make a reservation after that point and then had to cancel it, unfortunately resulting in the guest being rather offended. Also, we had a couple of issues with the level of service as it related to the wedding. No one greeted us and helped facilitate the rehearsal, which was unlike any other wedding I had been in as a bridesmaid. In general, I expected a little better service for the amount of money we paid. Overall, I would recommend the Gramercy as a beautiful wedding venue, and I think that my experience with their service might have been different if I had been dealing with them during a less busy time of year.

The Gramercy was the perfect setting for our outdoor fall wedding and reception. The room was beautiful, we stayed there the night of our wedding. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was very helpful with any questions.

I absolutely loved the Gramercy as our venue for both the reception and ceremony. It is a a gorgeous location and very open and welcoming. It was the only choice for my husband and myself once we toured it. It pleased us both to also receive countless compliments from our wedding guests. We don't regret a single thing about having our special day at the Gramercy!

So until the day of the wedding, I had mixed feelings about Gramercy. The site is BEAUTIFUL! It allows you to have a wedding that is a combination of indoors and outdoors and makes for gorgeous pictures. It provides a personal feel and was the most beautiful of the 13 reception venues that I looked at. However, every little concession I asked from the Gramercy staff (early check-in, storing things there before the wedding, canceling a room reservation when somebody wasn’t able to make it due to unplanned surgery), were all rebuffed in a somewhat rude manner. Some of it was understandable, but other times, there were just plain rude. Once, when a bridesmaid was in town, we made a spur-of the moment decision to stop by and see Gramercy on Saturday morning. The person at the front desk let us in but was quite rude about us coming without an appointment, even though she didn’t really have to show us around and we were only there for 10 minutes. For the price I was paying, I was initially quite ticked off with them. But on the day of the wedding, everybody at Gramercy was nice, polite and went out of their way to be helpful. Given the previously unhelpful attitude of the staff, I was pleasantly surprised. They let the bridal party in as early as noon (some of my guests called and were even able to check in at 9am!). They were polite, efficient, easy-going and didn’t complain when some of my guests lingered about to talk for over 2 hours after the wedding. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. So while the staff can sometimes be temperamental, they are truly professionals when it comes to the actual day of the wedding. Even though it’s one of the most expensive venues out there, the location is fabulous and everything that I could have wanted.

We had our wedding ceremony in the front garden and our reception at the Carriage House. The staff did a nice job setting up the ceremony and making sure everything looked nice. It is a unique location and perfect for outdoor weddings.

The venue was beautiful and the staff great. There was some difficulty keeping things organized, like room assignments, etc. but overall I would recommend this venue as a beautiful, cozy place to hold an event.

I loved the Gramercy. It was a beautiful venue and the staff was wonderful. They are very firm about ending times for events, as it is a home and B&B, so if youwant to party all night, this isnt your place.. Or at least plan another place for later. The only complaint I have is that they charge you to stay overnight after you have already paid so much for booking the venue. I really feel as that a room should be complimentary when booking your wedding. The least they could do is factor it into the site fee somehow. The place is eclectic, the gardens are beautiful, and the size very nice. I highly recommend them.

Gramercy Mansion is an exceptionally beautiful location for a wedding. The staff is very friendly - and many of them are registered officiants too! They were very responsive to all my requests and wonderful hosts. It was great to just wander back to our B&B room in the Mansion after the reception!

Gramercy is absolutely picture-perfect for spring weddings outdoors. We had our ceremony in the lower garden and the reception in the patio and the house. While I absolutely loved the scenery and back drop, Gramercy is very pricey. Well worth the money for my big day, but if you are on a tight budget, you may want to look elsewhere.I loved the convenience of having the bed and breakfast feature, so I didn't have to worry about my intoxicated guests driving home. The hotel and all of the rooms are absolutely stunning, and the flow of the mansion allows for a more intimate feel. You don't ever feel overwhelmed by massive crowds and it makes individual conversations that much more meaningful.

The space was gorgeous and I would not have chosen a different place to get married; however, you literally have to do everything. Gramercy does not provide you with anything except the table and chairs. They do; however, provide you with a sufficient vendor list that is helpful. So if you want a place that has an exclusive package, the Gramercy is not for you. However, if you are a do it yourself person and want control over the food, linens, music, etc., consider this place!

The Gramercy Mansion is an absolutely gorgeous place to get married. We got married on a Thursday and that saved us a lot of money as well and we still had a great turn out! We were only disappointed when we had to pull some strings to get the staff to replace broken christmas lights that were strung from the ceiling to illuminate the ceremony area and the reception site. I would think they would do this without asking. Still, the mansion is beautiful and everyone that attended loved the location.

Great Venue - pricey but beautiful. Should consider what to do if it rains in the morning but party has planned an evening event - I think we were told even if it stopped raining the garden would be too wet... Otherwise - charming and quaint.

The garden in the back of the venue is a possibly place for the ceremony. One note is that, in the spring, that garden floods pretty easily. Luckily they have an indoor alternative, on the terrace, so it still ended up having the outdoor feeling, despite the rain.

It rained 15 inches the week before our wedding, but the plan B at the Gramercy is amazing. Our friends and family agreed that the location was magical and very much indicative of a story book wedding. The smoothness of our wedding was 100% to the credit of our great vendors. If you are going to have a wedding at the Gramercy, do not expect any additional perks by being the bride. The location is beautiful, but carries with it very expensive catering vendors. My sister was charged an additional $30 fee for her room because of her young children. This was discussed up front when booking the room, but the Gramercy decided to make a point of this $30, which ended up being an annoying topic of conversation and headache for me on my wedding day. Additionally we booked a breakfast the morning after and my mother was given the run around on cost and number of guests for that breakfast. We had a lot of leftovers from our caterer and we were told rudely at the end of the night that we could not store them at the Gramercy due to health code violations. This was never addressed before the end of the night. Overall we loved our wedding, the location was great, but the staff could have been a little more flexible, it would have saved me from hearing my family complain on our beautiful night. I would highly suggest hiring a wedding planner to manage the staff at the Gramercy.

Gramercy provides a variety of picture locations. Even though it rained on our wedding day we were able to get some great pictures because of their open terrace. They do have a problem with the garden flooding after too much rain.

Beware of the innkeeper Bill Duffy. He is rude and dishonest. You have to wonder about the owners if they let such a man work for them.

The Gramercy is a beautiful venue, but the staff members were a nightmare to work with. The manager, Cristin, sent us a letter indicating that they were giving us an extra hour for our reception, and when I confirmed the time, she said that I was trying to be dishonest and steal an hour and refused to honor the HARD COPY of the letter with her signature indicating an extra hour. I have never encountered someone in a customer service role who was so rude and manipulative. I wound up having to pay extra money to cover this time since I had already confirmed the additional time with our family and vendors.Bill, another staff member, was rude to my now-wife, her mother, and her aunt when they went to tour the grounds after we signed the contract. The staff were friendly until the paperwork was signed, and then they could have cared less about us. During our wedding weekend, Bill told my parents and guests all sorts of elaborate stories about how other staff members at the Gramercy, including his boss, drink his cooking sherry when he leaves it out. He is an acquired taste who thinks every wedding is "his" wedding, and I would steer clear if I were you.The icing on the cake had to do with our cake. After we woke up the morning of our wedding, I went downstairs to recover the remaining pieces of our wedding cake, and Maria, another interesting staff member, informed me that the cake was now missing. The staff ate my wedding cake! Come to find out, this happens frequently at the Gramercy. The cake is stored in a fridge that is only accessible to staff and then mysteriously disappears each morning. Again, the staff could have cared less that this happened and tried to blame it on us for leaving it in the fridge with our name and "do not touch" on it. Finally, another staff member tried to keep a sentimental vase that "wound up" in the lost and found out of my mother's room. When she tried to reclaim the heirloom that was taken from her room, they insisted that the vase was property of the mansion. Don't worry - my mom had had enough at that point and walked away with her vase.If the Gramercy had any sense, it would fire its front-line customer service staff and hire employees who do more than put on a positive show until they have your payments. Unfortunately, that won't happen any time soon since it is family run and Cristin is the daughter of the owners and Bill has been there forever.People are not always brave enough to post negative experiences on this website because you have to identify yourself. I do not want anyone else to experience the debauchery that we did.UPDATE:In response to the Gramercy's feedback (below this), I'll clarify some of their "clarifications." We decided to add an extra hour after we received a written letter from Cristin offering an extra hour within our final payment letter. We DID NOT first decide to extend our contract; the Gramercy did. We provided the WeddingWire with the necessary documentation to prove this, and that is why our review was not taken down because of the Gramercy's dispute of our review. "An additional fee was owed" because we already confirmed the extra hour that the Gramercy gave to us in writing and paid to extend our other vendors' contracts. The Gramercy put us in a lose/lose situation: either pay them more money or lose the money we paid our other vendors to extend their contracts.At the end of the day, our wedding cake did not leave with us. Maria told us the cake was stored in a fridge only accessible to staff of the Gramercy. Enough said.Finally, the Gramercy hopes that I "will reflect on some positive memories of such a stunning milestone event. It truly was an amazing wedding." When I reflect on my amazing wedding, I reflect on my wonderful family and friends, beautiful bride, excellent food by Sashas, our photographer, etc. - NOT the inadequate, unprofessional staff of the Gramercy. I would never recommend this venue to my friends or enemies. Although a beautiful physical space, the people "overshadowed the happiness of this guest" and I will never forget that on the most special day of my life.

My wedding at the Gramercy Carriage house was a bit of a disappointment. The mansion had another wedding going the same day, and the bride for that wedding booked my venue for her rehearsal dinner. As a result, Gramercy informed me I would have to come quite early for my rehearsal. When we arrived, they were setting up for the other Bride and were of no assistance to us and acted as if we were placing a burden on them. They cut the grass so short that after a week of rain, the entire ceremony space was mud, it has destroyed the bottom of my dress. The day of the wedding, before I was to walk down the aisle, we made our way over to the mansion to wait under the awning because it was raining. Gramercy informed me I had to move because the other bride was going to be on her way down to get into her limo. After begging to let me stand in one of their offices rather than walk back through the rain, they begrudgingly let us in to a room to wait. In the mean time, my mom had to hunt down someone at the mansion to request towels to dry off the chairs, which my cousins did for me, Gramercy couldn't even be bothered to dry the chairs. When we finally walked down the aisle and were in the middle of the ceremony, several very loud cars with either modified exhaust systems or broken exhaust systems were allowed to drive around the circle of our ceremony site, disrupting the ceremony. When we had made our arrangements with Gramercy, they had assured me that no one would be allowed to drive around that circle during my ceremony. Overall, I do not recommend this site to any bride. The people at Gramercy managed to make me feel like I was a burden to them on my wedding day and like a second class citizen. No bride should have to experience what I did on such a special day. Especially not when I am paying them for their services.

We didn't want a big wedding so we decided to elope. We happened to come across The Gramercy Mansion online and it was the best decision ever. Although it was only a short car ride to the heart of Baltimore, it felt like we were in another world. The grounds were so peaceful and beautiful and every single person we came across was nice. The breakfast they served was seriously some of the best food I've ever tasted. I would highly recommend The Gramercy to anyone, regardless if you're getting married or just want to get away for a couple of days. It's such a wonderful place. We plan on going back next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary.

Gramercy Mansion is an absolutely wonderful wedding venue. Even our most discerning guests were impressed! As architects, both my husband and I were impressed with the facility and the history. We also loved that as a bed & breakfast, it was fully furnished and decorated. This made it more comfortable for our guests and we were able to scale back on our floral needs.

There was hurricane three days before our wedding and due to the superior service at Gramercy, we were still able to have our ceremony outdoors in the garden. Nobody could tell the weather had been anything but beautiful!

We also spent our wedding night at Gramercy, in the Tower Room. It was very romantic.

If you'd like some fun or silly photos on your wedding day...we had our florist wrap flowers around the ropes of the tree swing out in the circle in front of the mansion. Our photographer took photos while we were playing and swinging, laughing all the while. Ah...memories.

I absolutely loved Gramercy Mansion for many different reasons. It was within a couple moments of being there and feeling the comforts of home. We spent 2 nights at Gramercy and absolutely hated it when check out time came. It was like you were royalty there. The staff was overwhelmingly helpful and accomodating to our specific needs due to being out of state and many of our guests being from out of state. Breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning (so good)! Bill was our officiant and he was nothing shy of perfect. From making sure we were checked in to making sure we had places to change and get ready to his service as our officiant. Everything was more than perfect and I can not thank Gramercy enough! Absolutely 5 star fantastic!

The Gramercy Mansion had everyting we were looking for in a wedding venue. Their grounds and gardens are incredible for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour but the inside of the mansion was just as beautiful which meant that nothing would be compromised if weather mandated that we'd have to be indoors. Luckily the weather was perfect.

The ceremony area is not crowed but perfectly framed by the gardens making it extremely intimate amongst the vast and lush grounds. And their dinner area was what sold me. The patio is basically outside but has a permanent tent roof in case of any bad weather. The open arches are filled with giant fern plants and other glowers which means you don't need a lot of flowers to improve the area.

The staff at the Mansion was always available and knew weddings there like old pros, putting to rest any stress or questions I had about it. Their B&B rooms are unbelievable, each one unique and indulgent.

Every person at our wedding commented on how beautiful the mansion was, and what a unique venue it was for a wedding. The atmosphere is perfect for a party, and people felt a lot more comfortable than they would in a ballroom setting.

The most beautiful place ever. Most mansions that you rent are not furnished but this place also functions as an active bed and breakfast and so was beautifully decorated and lanscaped. All my guest wowed about it for weeks after. THe best comment I got was from my mom who said it was like I had a "Platinum Wedding", when I knew I didn't pay "platinum prices."

Gramercy was the perfect storybook setting for our wedding reception. The rooms were so beautiful and comfortable. The patio was absolutely stunning for our dinner. Our guests enjoyed going from room to room. We also stayed overnight in the Camelot Suite. It was the perfect wedding night retreat. We were served a fantastic breakfast the next morning.

This was a beautiful place to have a wedding! The staff there was so helpful and friendly. We were able to visit several times to look at the space, and could do so on very short notice. They have several officiants on staff who (for an extra fee) can perform your ceremony. This is also a bed and breakfast, so we were able to stay here on our wedding night, and our families were also able to stay here. The breakfast is also amazing! I'd highly recommend Gramercy if you're looking for a somewhat eclectic, yet elegant country location that is very convenient to get to in the Baltimore area.

We fell in love with this venue while snow was on the ground and everything in the garden was dead. We held our wedding in May with the garden looking perfect. The staff were there but in no way were they "in the way"... The venue was beautiful. The staff throughout the entire process were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to do some things we wanted and didn't mind that the party went a tad over schedule. I HIGHLY recommend this venue!!

Gramercy is a wonderful space for a wedding. The gardens are gorgeous, the mansion is full of character, and the rooms for the bed & breakfast are incredible for the getting ready photos (from a photographer's perspective!). Celebrating your wedding at Gramercy Mansion is a wonderful experience. My favorite wedding was there. There was not one thing unthought of, from the staff, their list of vendors, their gorgeous rooms available to stay in. I would highly recommend Gramercy.
