Karen was truly amazing. Our guests thought the flowers were gorgeous. My husband, our parents, my grandparents, our wedding party and I just loved the flowers. We had our wedding in a Japanese hotel and wanted to work with the theme. Karen made gorgeous fans with orchids for the brides maids. They really turned out beautifully. My bouquet was exquisite. I wanted a cascading bouquet because the detail in my dress was on top. She made me a stunning bouquet with orchids and cala lilllies. To go with the Japanese theme, I really wanted ichabana style arrangements. She did a stellar job. In addition to beautiful work products, Karen is great to work with. She's always responsive via phone and email. When I had ideas, she brainstormed with me and made them beautiful. In some areas like the fans, I was very specific. In other areas, like my head table arrangements, I had no idea how to direct or suggest anything and Karen ran with it. I couldn't have been happier!

Karen at Grandi-Flora was phenomenal! She made an effort to get to know me and understand my personal style and translate that into an amazing floral concept. I researched florist for a while before deciding, and after a while all the pictures started to look the same; nice but similar. Grandi-Flora stood out immediately. Her style was elegant, creative, and contemporary, which definitely carried over into her design for my wedding. Aside from being extremely friendly and professional, she was very flexible and able to handle all my last minute changes. I would highly recommend Grandi-Flora to anyone who wants their wedding's floral design to be unique and elegant!

Only a few portfolios stood out to us when we were researching florists. Karen's work is beautiful and when we went to meet her we were also impressed by her professionalism. This impression never faded and we are still thrilled that she was the one who was there on our wedding day. She is very talented but she also listened to what we wanted and it showed in all of our flowers. From the day we hired her, she was always kind and always helpful. She took the time to understand our vision, she never rushed our phone calls, she went all the way out to the site to understand the layout and scale, and she offered a bunch of suggestions (even when my questions were not flower-related). I do not think we could have chosen a better person for the day.

Karen was both very professional and friendly throughout and even after the wedding. All the flowers, especially the centerpieces and my wife's bouquet were beautiful. It was especially amazing because Karen only had a small amount of time to prepare for everything. Not only was the price very reasonable, the products and service were exceptional. Both my wife and I felt that we made a terrific choice.

I was a bridesmaid at a close friend’s wedding, and Karen did her flower. Karen's sensitive to how the flowers would go with the site and even helped us coordinating our linen selections. We couldn't be more pleased, Karen totally surpassed our expectations.

I wanted our wedding to be unique in every way, especially the flowers. That is why I chose Karen over other florists. I was impressed with Karen's confidence to take risks with our flowers, and trusted her to stay away from traditional centerpiece and bouquet design. As high as Karen set my expectations, I was blown away when I saw her vision come to life on our wedding day. The bridesmaids' Nautilus shell bouquets were unique and gorgeous, the botanical ring bearer pillows were a big hit, and the centerpieces which incorporated mitsumata branches, peacock feathers, starburst and a base of velvety red, brown and green flowers set the perfect mood for the 1920s ballroom. My bouquet and my husband's boutonniere were stunning and perfectly complimented the timeless look of our attire. As guests entered the ballroom, their jaws dropped, which is exactly what I wanted to achieve. Needless to say, all of the centerpieces went home with guests, and my bridesmaids have their shells on display. It has been 3 months since our wedding and people are STILL talking about the flowers. Not only was Karen's work brilliant, but she was also very personable, and just a pleasure to work with.

All the flowers turned out more beautiful than I could ever imagined. I felt overwhelmed with all the choices after browsing online and looking over magazines. Karen put us at ease and was very helpful and considerate. Highly recommended.

Since our wedding took place at my in-laws, thanks for their sizable backyard and zero site fee, we wanted to splurge a little bit on the flowers. Actually, had we had more time to plan, we probably would try to plant out the garden, but time was not on our side and Prop 8’s fate was (and still is) uncertain. Karen was very helpful in making suggestions and even shared other design ideas that are not flower related. She went to see my in-laws place, and also met us at our place to see if there were any household items that could be incorporated into the table top design to work with our wish to make our wedding more green and sustainable. She suggested in-season locally grown dahlias as the main flowers, and we couldn’t be happier. We, including our parents, were impressed by Karen’s table design. They were simply gorgeous.

Karen at Grandiflora was our first pick over several others in the same area. She knew the staff at the Claremont, our venue (which was a poolside ceremony and reception for $500!!). She was immediately helpful (we were clueless and didn't know it). She showed us books with arrangements in them and we picked out the theme and colors of our wedding based on our wishes. We knew and trusted Karen immediately to fill in the rest. Our family and guests raved about the flowers and how pretty everything looked. She went out of her way to make suggestions like lavender sprigs in the folded napkins. And flowers on all the chairs. We gave her our budget of $1000 and I think we came in around $1200. I did not feel any pressure financially which was nice. It was a beautiful wedding thank you in large part to Karen!

A friend invited us to a floral sculpture exhibit at the Oakland Museum, and that’s how we met Karen, who had an installation there. I love her ikebana work, clean and modern, and how she’s able to fuse the sculptural quality of ikebana designs into her wedding designs. The background piece she did for our ceremony was simply amazing. The centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnières were beautiful and thoughtfully executed. We were very fortunate to have found her.

The ceremony background created by Karen was absolutely modern and stunning. I loved my bouquet, and my bridesmaids loved theirs. Even my aunt from Japan, a floral designer and ranked ikebana artist, was impressed.

We were so glad that we choose to work with Karen. I didn't have any idea as to what flowers or style to go with, and Karen really took the time to guide us through the process--figuring out what color schemes to go with our bridesmaids' dresses, linen selections, and what style of bouquet to work with my dress. The quotes from Karen were not the lowest quotes we received, but there's certainly truth in what you pay is what you get. Nonetheless, she was not the most expensive. On the day of our wedding, Karen's team showed up on time to set up, and everything came together more beautifully than we could ever imagined. Double thumbs up for Karen.

I had seen the flowers that Karen did for a friend's wedding. When it came time for our wedding, I knew she was the person to call. She is a highly skilled professional and artist who took care in listening to our ideas and also offering suggestions. Most of all, we were impressed with her innovative designs. Because we trusted her, we gave her a lot of freedom to do what she thought would make sense and we were not disappointed! The flowers were beautiful, elegant, and artistic. On the day of the wedding, she was prompt and reliable. We also found her prices very reasonable.

Karen does incredible work with flowers. She is creative and open to new ideas. I simply gave her a rough idea of the kind of look and feel I wanted as well as the color of flowers that I preferred and let her loose. My husband and I as well as our guests were extremely impressed with the result. Karen stayed within our budget and her floral creations were a big factor in our perfect wedding.

5-stars all around for Karen of Grandiflora. My husband and I used her for our wedding flowers, and she did an excellent job, was fantastic to work with, and the flowers were magnificent! Karen cares deeply about her work, and it shows in her flowers. She is very responsive and open to ideas, generous with practical suggestions that you probably wouldn't have thought about. I really trust her judgement and her work. Her prices are also reasonable, especially with her background and training, and the high quality of her work, flowers, and materials. I highly recommend her!

Grandiflora was able to create such a beautiful atmosphere for the wedding I photographed, I was so impressed! By the time I arrived with the bride all the flowers were set up and complimented the couple and venue perfectly. I spoke with Karen on several occasions and she was very sweet, professional and wanted to create the perfect bouquet and flower arrangements for the bride and groom. I cannot wait to work with Grandiflora again to see what Karen creates!
