Everything was prefect with the vendor until the day of the rehersal. The coordinator provided (wife) was very pushy and wore her emotions on her sleeve. The day of, a lot of family had to pitch in to set up. I will say that the flavor of the food was great and overall the day was so amazing. Overall the caterer was ok, but I just wish that they had not been so pushy with my guests.

John, his wife, and the staff at Graystone catering made our wedding! Their food is so good. My guests raved and raved about Graystone Catering’s food (and they are still raving about it!). John is amazing and responsive. Any question I had he answered. He is prompt with emails and really pulls out all the stops to make your wedding special. All their food is cooked on site so it is prepared fresh. We has island chicken, steak with onions and peppers, baby red potatoes, veggies, bread, spinach salad, and a marinated artichoke and mushroom salad. Everything was delicious and my only regret is not getting a chance to try the artichoke salad! John and his staff work very hard to make your day stress free. They set everything up perfectly. We rented tables, chairs, linens, china, and flat wear from them. Everything was taken care of. They put out our favors for us and set them up just perfectly. Hire Graystone Catering for your wedding! It will be the single best choice you make other than saying “I do!”

We want to tell you everyone enjoyed the food, stated they never had such moist chicken or tri tip at a wedding before, or better rice pilaf!! THank you for your generosity and how you handled the miscommunication form our wedding coordinator! We would highly recommend you catering to anyone who asks us!! The food was outstanding and the portions were perfect!!

Graystone Catering-Loved their food; Loved our appointment and preview before we booked them, and my guests loved the food too. Everyone had great things to say about the dinner. I disliked the communication between John and us, and disliked that although all our communication was done through John, he wasn’t around for our event, and had sent his wife. His wife was lovely, but I felt that if he had stated he would be there at our wedding and was the person we were corresponding with, he should have been present.

Not only was John great to work with, the food was fantastic! Meats are grilled onsite and the sides were tasty. Plates are generously served in an attractive presentation. All the staff was attentive during the reception, which made for a really relaxing dinner.

Everything ran smoothly with the catering service at our wedding. Prior to the big day, I could typically get all of my questions answered quickly. The one major glitch that we had was that I used their bartending services, but we still had to handle buying the liquor ourselves. The one issue with that was that I had asked what exactly we needed to get, including how much ice, etc. I had received a response that we needed to get taps, tubs, and ice for the small beer kegs we rented, and how much wine to buy, but that they would handle the ice for the iced tea and water. So fast forward to the night before the wedding, around 10pm, when we and the rest of the bridal party were staying in Twin Peaks at Pine Rose Cabins were the wedding would take place, a town with only one small grocery store by the way, when I get an email from the caterer that he forgot to tell me that we needed to provide 120 lbs. of ice. So the next morning my husband-to-be and one of his groomsmen went on a mission for ice, and could only get about 80 lbs., but I'm pretty sure it didn't all get used anyway. Then fast forward to an hour before the ceremony starts, when we find out that we were supposed to buy plastic cups. That little detail was never, ever mentioned, they just assumed we knew that somehow. So one of our friends once again went on a mountain mission and came back with red, blue, and yellow plastic party cups, as they were the only ones he could find. Everything else in regards to the catering ran smoothly, my only other complaint was that the overall cost seemed a bit high, and I wished I had shopped around a bit more for a better deal.

Mr. And mrs. Ellis with graystone catering were absolutely delightful. My guests couldn't stop raving about their wonderfully on location cooked buffet style meal and their rentable chocolate fountain was so worth it for the fun and delicious treat. My groom and I received waiters which was a nice little luxury and mrs. Ellis was so kind and helpful even during setup of the wedding, they were honestly just a well round fantastic catering company, I would most certainly recommend them, as well as use them for any other future events rotor myself.
