Doug and Chris made for a great reception. Having both a DJ and MC made things run so smooth. They really offer great ideas on how to make things different so guests don't feel like they are at the same reception but different couple. Having two people doesn't make them twice the cost. Great day was still affordable.

The owner is very pushy with his own ideas. He kinda got snippy with us a few times during our prier meetings. But the DJ wass great. He was nice, check in with us, gave us a time check before we moved on to the cake, garter, etc. Everything moved really fast and they did a great job, but i don't feel like its worth how much we payed them for the service they brought. Also, we requested a few songs that didn't get played. We would probably go with someone else if we could go back and do it again.

My husband and I got married at the Madison Event Center in the Covington, KY last month. We heard about Great Day Productions from a close friend who used them for her wedding. We could not have been more pleased. The DJ service comes with an emcee and a DJ so you get two for the price of one! :) Dave was our emcee and was amazing! So friendly and accommodating, and it really helped to me at ease as well. Use their services, you won't be disappointed!!!!

We had both a DJ and an MC. It was great! The music was perfect, because they played exactly what we wanted... We danced all night long! Wonderful!

Our DJ played a really great mix of music that kept our guests dancing all night. Everyone had a great time. My only complaints were very picky. We had a choreographed first dance, and they started the music before we were set up in the right spot and while other people in the wedding party were still on the dance floor. That flustered us a little. Also, I had specifically requested that "Don't Stop Believin" be the last song, but the DJ played "Happy Trails to You" after that. I hated that. I would have thought that they'd know that a couple who requested no country music wouldn't like that song. I wish we'd been specific and communicated more, but it never occurred to me that they'd play another song after the last song we requested. Also we should have mentioned the beginning of the song to the DJ just before we were introduced.

Well - I don't have too much to say about Great Day. They did my sister's wedding 20 years ago, and they did my cousin's wedding a couple of years ago down at the Madison in Covington, KY. They have total control of your reception, keeping things moving along. So, why wouldn't I pick them for MY reception? We scheduled an appointment with them, and when we walked in the office it seemed okay. Then, when the guy started talking, we instantly realized it wasn't for us. They were very "cocky" with their services, and explained what they do - and that there was clearly no chance that our requests were not an option. We asked about having some lighting (basic lighting), and they said "You have lighting companies, and you have DJ's ... but you can't have both." Then was asked about the 20-30 minute down time during dinner, and how we wanted to play a slideshow of childhood pictures - growing up, and then pictures of us together...and he instantly interrupted by saying "any other questions." as if not to address that at all. When we brought it up again, he said he saw that once before, where a couple had it on a small screen TV in the corner of the reception hall, to give people something to do if they don't want to dance. Dumb idea. That's not what we asked. They seemed like a DJ who has been in the business for a long time, who does not deviate from what they are used to, almost as if they train their DJ's ONE WAY or the highway. I do not recommend them, unless of course you don't care about your reception, or what is to happen at your reception...
