Wow Factor DJ provided us the service of live streaming our wedding for our family and friends all over the world who were not able to join us on our wedding day. The live steamed video was one of the highlights of our wedding and it came at the perfect time since my grandfather fell ill only a couple days before our wedding, a family friend moved to Singapore the week before our wedding, and my dad's family was unable to travel to Arizona from Florida due to health issues.

We also shared the link with more friends and family after the ceremony so that they could watch the ceremony again or for the first time. My husband and I watched the video ourselves the night of the wedding after all the festivities were over and were very excited to be able to see everything from the viewers perspective. During the wedding everything seemed to go so fast and there were a lot of little things that we did not see happen. One of our favorite moments in the video was seeing my mom try to open the other side of the double doors for my entrance after my dad and I had already walked in and then chasing my dad and I down the aisle as she tried to fix my train. That moment very much represents my mom and I am glad we were able to see it since we missed it during the ceremony.

My family has watched the video many times and each time we see or hear something we missed before. We are very thankful that Wow Factor DJ was able to provide us this service. It made our long-distance guests very happy and it made our day even more amazing.

We really appreciate the service that they provided, as well as the opportunity to get DVDs of the ceremony video so that we can watch it again and again for years and years. The live streamed video made our day even better since we were able to share it with those of our friends and family who were around the world and because it made our special day that much more unique.

Shelley and Dave were amazing!!! We had numerous meetings with them to make sure our big day was amazing. They were very helpful with all of our questions throughout the whole process! They returned emails very quickly when I had a question about a song or the timeline! At our POM meeting, they met with my mom, daughter and I. They had the whole timeline ready for our wedding that we went over. The day of the wedding was amazing! The music was prefect. Dave was keeping us on schedule! The grand Entrance was awesome!!!! Throughout the evening Dave kept coming up to us to make sure everything was going good. And the music was great! Shelley kept everyone out on the dance floor the whole night! Even had my parents and family doing the YMCA!!! :) We were very pleased about the whole experience!!! Shelley and Dave made our wedding the perfect day!!! I have emails everyday from friends and family that were there telling us how much they enjoyed the DJ's and how great they were!!! We are so glad that we picked Dave and Shelley to spend our special day with us!!! We would highly recommend them to our friends and family!!!

I highly recommend using this company for anyone that wants to include family/friends in their special event even when they are not able to attend. Dave live streamed my wedding so my grandparents in IL could sit in the comfort of their home and watch my AZ wedding! I was so happy to know they could be a part of it all and they were thrilled with the quality. It was also amazing to have a site to share with others who were not able to attend. Many who wished they could be there were surprised that they could attend via the internet!! We had so many compliments on the live stream. Dave provided exceptional professionalism and communication throughout the entire months leading up to the big day and after. Dave is now sending me a DVD of the wedding and it will be another keepsake to cherish forever! Thank you Dave for going above and beyond for us! We highly recommend this company!

Dave live streamed my daughter's wedding for out of town guests who could not make the wedding. Every wedding has important people who can not make it and this was a way to include them in the live ceremony. With the camera and sound it allows you to even acknowledge the out of town guests.
Dave was timely, professional and very good to work with. The quality was great and not only could you watch it live, you could also go back to the website to watch it again or in case someone missed it live. They also provide a DVD as a lifetime memory.
Prior to the wedding, he provided test streaming to make sure everything was working on both ends.
Certainly you should consider making this a part of your special day and we highly recommend using WOW- Factor.

I want to start by saying that Shelley and Dave are very nice people who will meet you anywhere and are very flexible with their time when it comes to working with people. I was very satisfied with how everything was coming along with all of the preparation. Shelley was very efficient with the music and Dave was on top of making sure the pictures we used in the montage was of the highest quality. They even wanted to have a "piece of mind" meeting at the venue two weeks before the wedding so that they could make sure to meet certain individuals from the families and bridal party so that when the wedding rolled around they know who to look for when it came time for scheduled events which did not happen on the in-law dance and I missed a dance with my father in law. We also were very disappointed in the quality of the sound. During the ceremony there was supposed to be a special song played during the kiss and we did not hear it nor did our guests. During our grand entrance we had something fun and special planned with our music and most of our guests came up to us and asked us why we did not have a song during our entrance because they could not hear it playing. This was the case during the course of the night. The music was very difficult to hear and so were the announcements. When a family member approached to ask if they could make it louder the reply was "we did not know that we would be in the corner". This was however discussed with the wedding coordinator at the 'piece of mind meeting'. Most of the guests missed many key events throughout the night as a result. So would we as the bride and groom if we did not know the schedule. When it came time to cut the cake we had no idea until we briefly heard our cake cutting music being played. Again, Dave and Shelley were great to work with throughout the whole process, just extremely disappointed with the quality of sound and making sure that the announcements had our guests attention.

Vendor response to review

Dawn- It’s been over a week since we e-mailed you about this and we have not heard back from so we are posting our response here. We would like to address a couple of this that you mentioned in your review. You stated that we didn't play the kiss song during your ceremony. I've sent you the MP3 that we recorded of your wedding ceremony which shows that the kiss song was played.

You also state that we didn't play the In-Law dance. If you remember your venue required us to change the timeline only 2 weeks before your wedding. When the change was made the In-Law dance was played to start the 2nd session of open dancing instead of right after your first dance with Dewey when it was initially planned. I also sent you the log file from our DJ software that shows every song played during the entire reception. The In-Law dance was a special edit I did for you that combined 3 songs that fade into each other like you wanted. The log file shows that the In-law dance was played less than 5 minutes from when we had it planned in the timeline. I asked your photographer to take pictures of the In-Law dance.

You also mention the music was not loud enough especially at the start of the evening. We knew that we would be in the corner of the odd almost "L" shaped room at the far end from your head table. At our meeting at the location we were told that there would not be guest tables in that part of the room, only our DJ table which was right next to the dance floor. Having those guest tables near the DJ table caused us have to change where we put the speakers. We then had to take into account how loud the music was for the tables near us compared to the far end of the room and tried to find a balance. Had we known about those guest tables in advance we would have brought satellite speakers to put at the far end of the room closer to your head table.

Your guests may not have recognized your grand entrance song because it was a custom edit of your song, as we had discussed. The custom edit looped only a portion of the song. The music is a background for the announcement of your bridal party. The song you selected has lyrics so to make it so that the names of your bridal party could be understood, over the lyrics, the music had to be quieter.

During the evening I talked to you several times to let you know what was coming up next. Before the cake we talked and I explained that the cake and the toasts were coming up soon and what followed after that. You may remember you were seated in front of the head table at a round talking to one of your guests.

Finally you mention that some of your guests missed some of what was going on because they didn't hear announcements. It is true that while I was making announcements that some of your guests did not stop talking among themselves. The majority of guests stopped talking during announcements but many of your guest did not. Some of your guests did not stop talking even during the toasts. As a Master of Ceremonies there is only so much I can do, at some point it is the responsibility of the guests to stop their conversations and listen to what is being said. At the end of your reception we had many of your guests come over and thank us for the great time at your reception. We wish you and Dewey the best.

Dave and Shelley are fantastic. an amazing rate for an amazing service. Dave kept the party going and Shelley never let the music stop and also played a great combination of music that got all our guests onto the dance floor. They are great people and know how to throw a good party.

What music genres are in your collection?

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
Describe your DJ style:
We actively meet with our clients in advance so we know them and their style. We also give clients paperwork to help them define what they want to hear for their music and special dances. We work one on one to create the perfect mood
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
No, we take requests from guests through the entire event.
What is your usual attire?
Our staff wear dress clothes and shoes, the DJ and MC typically wear tux vests and slacks, AV assistants and dancers wear business dress clothes so they can do their job of AV work and dancing with guests.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
We get the song so that the client doesn't have to worry about it.
How many other DJs do you work with?
Our company has five DJ's and we welcome working with other DJ's anytime.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
We have gone on into the night without stopping in the past as our client requested but typically it is 6-7 hours or even 8 for a long reception.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes, we have meetings all along with the client meeting directly with their DJ.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We would be open to doing any type of ethnic or international event, and have done a Rwandan and Nigerian wedding in the past year and that was fun.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Definitely and we request that they do.
Do you bring your own equipment?
We bring our own equipment and a second set of equipment as backup.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have several lighting options to create a nightclub feel and use a disco ball for some slow dances. We have everything from disco balls, LED Light Panals, Uplighting with LED lights, several sound activated light options, strobe lighting, fog, on a lighting truss and club visuals video is optional.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We use two 6 foot tables in an L shape and it is easier if the location provides the tables and skirting so that they all match and yet we bring these tables with us each time anyway so that we have it if we need it.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
We need about an 8 x 6 space normally and if we are doing rear projection video we might need something larger.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
Yes but we don't have to use it if the client would prefer it that way.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We have a separate DJ and Emcee. The emcee interacts with you and the guests and works with your other service providers to make sure the timeline is followed and everyone is having fun.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
We bring a dancer or a dance team to the event and so there is always someone on the dance floor. Our dancers mingle with your guests and invite the wallflowers and singles out to the dance floor.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
The MC and DJ take a dinner break during the dinner served at the event and the assistant and dancers take a 15 break only when permitted. There is always coordination so the entertainment doesn't stop.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Yes we create a dinner music mix that usually lasts an hour so that dinner can be taken rotationally by our staff and the music is typically a jazz without words so that guests can talk easily.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We have several DJ's in the company that can cover the event if needed.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
We occasionally do but it is not typical. We have several DJ options so it is not a problem. We also do a variety of services so our staff is all cross-trained.
What is your overtime rate?
$100 per hour and it is billed in 30 minute increments. We have rarely used the overtime since we are at the reception for 6 hours anyway. There is usually nobody left to want to dance by then.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
$25 for the Phoenix Metro areas such as Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Glendale. Outside those areas it is $50 and beyond that it is $100 per vehicle per day for areas like Sedona, Flagstaff, Yuma, Tucson and out of state.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
We require 50% down payment to reserve the date and equipment and personnel resources. The final payment is due 48 hours before the event.
Additional Advice
Tip 1 Start with what is most important to you at the end of the day - Your Wedding Day...When all your guests have gone home or you and the groom are exiting your reception it will be a blurry whirlwind. Ask yourself what are the top 3 things you wanted most from the day...For example, The food needed to be great or the music needed to be fun so that everyone danced the night away. In thinking like this you will help define where you should spend your budget, and if you find that you have several things important...Consider having a smaller and more intimate wedding where those closest to you will be lavished with all that matters to you most without you having to compromise.
