Greg Marsh Designer Cakes

Greg did a fantastic job with the cake and the grooms cake. My husband loved the surprise of the groom's cake and Greg did an amazing job with an idea that I gave him from a picture. He also made the cake exactly how I wanted it and it was beautiful.

Cake was delicious and easy on the eyes! we ordered 75 servings for 160 people and it was the Perfect amount!! Greg Marsh was on the ultimate cake off which I watch alllll the time so i had to try his cakes... He stands by his REP. Obviously a little bit more spendy but really not to bad for the quality, delivered on time, EXACTLY what I was looking for in a cake, beautiful and tastey! Definitely planning on going back for all my cake needs!! Definitely recommended!!

Our wedding cake was delicious and we were very pleased. Be very specific about colors -our cake definitely turned out yellow, when it was supposed to be green, but it still tasted great!

There is a reason why Greg Marsh is so famous in Boise...his cakes really are THAT good!! We had a 4 tier (plus a sheet cake) and each tier was a different flavor & filling....I had 4 pieces of cake because I HAD to try them all!! Literally, guests told me that they were loitering around the cake table just to eat more :) I still have people asking me who did our wedding cake!
And the design was just as beautiful as it was delicious.

The only thing that was a little frustrating during the wedding planning process is that I had to follow up 3 times each time I had a question or a change because I didn't receive a response the first 2 times. I can only assume that Greg is SUPER busy because of how popular he is but that was a little annoying when all that I needed was a quick answer.

Overall though, don't let that change your mind...the cake was absolutely perfect!

Greg hand drew our cake in front of us and it turned out fabulous! We also ordered a quarter sheet cake from him and we got so many compliments on them. The cake looked and tasted great! I would definitely recommend Greg Marsh to any bride. Thank you to Greg and his staff for making my wedding cake!

Greg Marsh is the best. Our cake was a very unique request and Greg pulled it off. Its absolutely amazing, he's very professional, not overly friendly (be warned all you super chipper brides), but he and his staff are phenomenal. You will be so glad you went with him. My FI and I went to 3 places before booking with Greg and we were so happy.

Awesome Cakes
He made our wedding cake and the surprise groom's cake. They were both exactly what we asked for. He probably isn't the cheapest but he is very talented and the cakes even taste great! We were very happy!

Cake was one of the most important items in our recpetion. I had been to many weddings where the cake looked beautiful but tasted like cardboard. I wanted a beautiful cake but most of all I wanted it to taste great. Greg Marsh did not disappoint! He had great ideas and took the time to listen and offer suggestions. Our cake looked fabulous and tasted even better! We recieved so many compliments and I would recommend Greg Marsh to anyone who wants a wonderful cake!

Oh. My. GOSH my cake was so delish! I saw Greg at a bridal show with samples, my husband isn't big into sweets but he kept circling Gregs booth eating more & more samples...pretty sure he ate a whole cake! Thats when I decided that Greg was the one! :) I went to Gregs bakery in Eagle with no idea of what I wanted as for design. I gave him my colors & kind of an overview of what I thought I wanted and then tasted the most amazing cake... it was soft and fluffy and not too heavy or sweet. Amazing. We ended up with the lemon poppyseed (lightly lemony and not too many poppy seeds, who needs little black things in their teeth all night right?) and also the madagascar vanilla with the huckleberry filling (we got married in McCall surrounded by huckleberries so it seemed appropriate) both were so delicious I didn't want to stop eating! His prices are relatively low and he delivered to McCall for basically nothing! I didn't actually see my cake until after the ceremony (it was gorgeous...everything I wanted and more) but I was never worried that it wouldn't be better than my imagination. He was great!

Greg is a very kind and fun person to work with. We wanted a really unique cake to follow along with our funky yet simple reception. My husband was able to pick out five different cake and filling flavors for each layer of the cake and then also pick the shape fo the cake layers.

We ended up with a square base with a hexagon on top of that, a square in the middle, a hexagon above that, and a small cube on the top! Some of the layers wre done in a chocolate fudge cake with coconut creme filling, madagscar vanilla with huckleberry filling, and other delctable flavor combinations. The individual layers were each decorated with a pale olive green buttercream frosting and dark chocolate ganache. There were ivory accents as well as handmade chocolate twigs for the topper.

Greg and his crew did an exceptional job on our cake. The color of the cake was an identical yet paler version of the green of the bridesmaid dresses as we had asked. Everything we were wanting in the cake, we had and more. The flavors were delicious and the frosting actually tasted like frosting! I was only able to enjoy on piece of the base layer, a lemon poppyseed with lemon creme filling, but it was hands down the best cake I have ever had!

Greg was very easy to work with and his product is exceptional. I definately recommend him for any occassion....anniversary, birthday, and of course Wedding cakes!!

We got tons of compliments on how delicious our cake was -- Greg's buttercream icing is to die for, and he gives it a very nice finish on the cake so you don't really notice it's buttercream instead of fondant. If you do go with fondant, his buttercrem is so amazing that you should be sure to ask for a thick layer beneath the fondant! The two flavors we selected were also wonderful. The only complaints I had about his service were (1) there was roping on the cake in the photo we gave him, but he made fondant "waves" instead, which I thought looked much more messy and not very nice; (2) for the groom's cake, we discussed several things including how the cake would look and when we would get some "model items" I dropped off back (when we returned the plates). Instead, the cake looked as I instructed it not to, and the "model items" were brought to the reception, where we of course had a hard time keeping track of them; and (3) his bakery was closed up until the day before my wedding (without warning), and my mom failed to pay more than a week in advance, leaving me completely stressed until the day before my wedding that we weren't going to have cake! However, in Greg's favor, he accepted payment in full the day before the wedding, instead of the 14 days in advance as required on our contract. In all, I would use this baker again. As for value for cost -- I've patronized other bakeries with the same quality who offer in the price of their cake a reproduction of the top layer on the couple's first anniversary (so they don't have to deal with freezing the top of the cake) -- if Greg did this, I would consider his packages well worth the money and he would be highly recommendable!

Our cake was beautiful! We could not have asked for anything better! It was a unique design and everyone loved it! The quality was so far above what we could have imagined! Flavor was fantastic! I would highly recommend Greg over any other baker in the valley!

His cakes are so gorgeous!!! I wish I could post a picture of mine because it was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen in my ilfe. It was covered in sugar crystals to make my cake almost look like a piece of crystal. He was wonderful to work with and the cake tasted AMAZING! His rates are well under what he really should charge for what he provides. Great experience!

I went with my wife, and all that I know is the cake was really good. She loved the way it looked, but to tell you the truth, I'm not the kind who remembers that stuff.

Greg did a wonderful job on our cake. It received many compliments from our guests on both it's appearance and the taste!

Greg did a fabulous small two tiered cake for us, and mini versions for all of our guests - people are still raving about it! The cakes were beautiful and absolutely delicious! We've used them for other events as well and would highly recommend them. They never disappoint!
