Griselda's Catering

Griselda provided the best catering services I have ever found. The food was absolutely amazing! I got so many compliments on how great the food was. I received compliments such as, “the food from Griselda’s was better than any other wedding.” I couldn’t agree more! There were so many choices. I had enchiladas, mole, chile verde, and tamales as my entrees. I have to say they were all to die for! Best tasting Mexican food ever! The staff from Griselda’s was so professional and personable. Her employees serviced the bar, the buffet, and clean-up after the wedding; all which they handled great! Everyone was so tired after the wedding so it was great to have the staff there to complete all the clean-up. I really have to say that Griselda’s Catering is amazing at what they do!! There is not one bad thing I have to say about them. They helped make my day really special! I am glad people will remember my wedding as the one with the best food and service ever! I plan to go back to Griselda for all my catering needs in the future.

I have nothing but the utmost praise for Griselda's Catering and would highly recommend her for other brides. She was an absolute dream to work with during the wedding planning process with her professionalism and recommendations which made my wedding day a huge success. The food was delicious and it was amazing how she transformed the room into a beautiful and romantic dining area for the reception.

Griselda was amazing. I had alot of questions and she answered all of them. She really cares about her brides and wants to make sure that their big days are absolutely perfect. All my guests keep telling me how good the food was and trust me when I say we had some tough critics in our crowd! Thank you so much to Griselda and her staff!!

Griselda is great! Everyone is so professional! They recently hired a new wedding planning coordinator and she is SO awesome. We were able to customize our food to meet what we wanted and our vegetarian guests' needs. PLUS there are different rewards for paying without credit or for signing a catering contract within a certain amount of time (I won't ruin the surprise but they're excellent)!

The day of, the caterers were wonderful. Griselda herself was our coordinator and everything went smoothly. Plenty of food for everyone and they were sure that no one had empty glasses at the head table for the toast (something I've seen people worry about in reviews about caterers). Highly recommend Griselda's! It was not as expensive as many other companies we looked at but the quality of the food was still awesome.

What a wonderful wedding we had so filled with joy and the promise of new beginnings. Your crew of most competent men and women were gracious and helpful. The food was delicious! We are so pleased that your were our caterer and would recommend you in a minute!! When I told my friends how you had assured me that all would be well and to be rested, drink plenty of water, eat foods with antioxidents, and get a massage, they said, "I wish my caterer had told me that." So we were indeed blessed being in your most capable hands.

We had a themed wedding and Griselda and her staff were very accommodating with the menu (by swapping standard items for traditional Scottish) and flow of events (we did not follow the typical flow of events and the staff was wonderful at not rushing us to stick, by the minute, to the evenings timeline). They also drove quite a distance, roughly 100 miles, at a very minimal rate to serve our wonderful reception.

The only reason that we are giving the quality of service a 4.5 instead of a solid 5 is that the chicken dish we loved at the tasting was very fragrant and had an amazing orange flavor- the chicken we were actually served was very moist and had a good flavor but it was not the flavor that we loved initially.

Responsiveness is hard to judge because everyone has their own idea of how prompt a business reply should be. Replies typically took at least one day- via email- and they were usually a complete response to all of our questions.

The staff was very professional and yet, laid back- you could tell that they enjoyed working with each other. Our venue was highly impressed at the efficiency and cleanliness of the crew- abandoned glasses were always cleared and there was always a helpful waitperson available to answer questions.

As far as value- Griselda's was the best. They provide virtually everything for your catering needs at a budget friendly price. We did a lot of research and quote comparison prior to meeting with Griselda's staff and we are very pleased that we chose them. All around we would highly recommend this caterer to our family and friends.

The food was excellent, but I did hear a lot back from my guess about the my appetizer hour a lot of them did not get to have everything that was on my menu.

I cannot say enough good things about Griselda's Catering! The food was great; many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed it, and that it was not your typical 'wedding chicken.' Geri Ann Alviso and Griselda were great to work with, and were very helpful.

Griselda's catered our wedding last night and we could not have been happier with the service and the food! From our very first appointment they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping us to create the menu. We knew we didn't want typical "wedding food," and they helped us to put together a fantastic buffet with plenty of options for everyone. We were blown away with how good the food was at our tasting, and it tasted just as delicious at the wedding. So many people came up to me to tell me how good our foods was. Griselda herself and the wedding coordinator, Geri, are both a pleasure to work with and were so helpful even with the smaller details like table linens and glassware. They were also NEVER pushy and offered a variety of options to help us stay within our budget. They took special care of us on our wedding day, even making certain that we even had a tray of appetizers reserved for when we arrived. We have no doubt that we made the best choice with Griselda's.

Griselda's team did an excellent job at our July wedding. We had her team take care of everything from the linens, bar, and food of course. Her team was a constant help during the event. They set up the night before so they were not rushed on the day of the wedding. During the reception they took care of everything and worked with other vendors to be sure things were on time. The food was to die for, we had the latin buffet, coming from a hispanic background the food was very important. All our family and friends couldn't stop talking about how authentic and great the food turned out. I would love to recommend the service to anyone. If I could I would eat at the restaurant every day for the yummie food.

Overall the food was great! Professionalism and response time however is bad. This company took over my contract after being in the hands of two other caterers and my contract was supposed to have stayed the same, but it did not. My adult plates went up .50 per plate. The assistant does not know how to send contracts without sending a empty envelope and calls and emails were hard to get from Griselda until I brought it up to my reception venue. After my wedding I was able to get a refund of the small amount difference that my adult plates went up, and Griselda was actually pretty good and fast working with me on that issue.

Our first caterer ended up going out of business and handed over our file to Griseldas Catering about 4-5 months prior to the wedding , still ensuring us that nothing would change for our wedding. The food was great and they did stick to the menu. We never met this caterering company so our final meeting was very important to us. Unfortunately they did not show up to our finally meeting at the venue to go over reception decor (linens, setup, etc) and final head count nor were we notified that they were unable to make it a week before the wedding. Luckyly the food turned out good and the guests enjoyed it.

The food is to die for! Great staff extremely courteous and did a great job at the reception. We were running behind the entire day and they didn't even charge us for the additional 30 mins.

I would highly recommend Griselda to anyone!

I have been treated to Griselda's Catering at least 2 dozen times within the past 3 years during various Sacramento Hispanic Chamber, Slavik Chamber and Rainbow Chamber. Her staff members are quick, professional and you can always see how much pride they have in their work! I could not be happier. I especially enjoy the Rosemary Citrus Chicken, Triple Cheese Mashed Potatos, Grilled Veggie Quesadillas, and Lavish Salsa Bar with Ceviche.

Griselda's catering quickly became a favorite pick for many of our brides. We couldn't be happier to have her on board with the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria. You will be glad you checked her out.
