I fell in love with the stationary at Gryphon when I went to a wedding event at the Four Seasons. All the other printing companies were okay, pretty standard. My husband was pretty picky and didnt want anything to cutesy/girly. When I saw the gorgeous invitations we both fell in love. We chose a very clasic invitation with a black background with white and gold font. It came out so beautifully! Understated but totally elegant. They're definitely not cheap, but I didn't find any other stationer I liked as much and who's work fit our personality so well.

As Graphic Designers, we wanted to develop a system where couples could take a hand at being the designer and create their own wedding invitations. We’ve created a system where you
can’t go wrong! The Gryphon site offers high-quality letterpress and engraved printing, with a multitude of handsome motifs, monograms, colors and fonts to create the style that’s perfect for you, all from the comfort of your home.
While customers are welcome to visit the SF office by appointment for a custom designed invitation, the site was developed to provide exceptional one-on-one service via e-mail and telephone to
compete with traditional stationery stores.

Additional Advice
How far in advance should I order my invitations?
The invitations will take approximately 3-6 weeks to print, package, and ship from the date of Final Approval. Please note your selected Shipping Method is in addition to the 3-6 week printing time; you will be sent an email confirming Ship Date and Method, and if possible, a tracking number for your shipment.
Will the color look the same as it does on the computer monitor?
Please note the colors shown are the best representations we are able to provide online, and are not necessarily an accurate representation of the final printed ink color. If you are highly particular about the color of the printed inks, please request a Sample Packet, under ’Inquiries’ in the main menu.
Can I order a special color?
We would be happy to do our best match a special color for an additional fee. Please contact Gryphon Stationers regarding sending a swatch of your specific color. Please note that colors will be matched with the Pantone Color system; an ink chip will be mailed for your approval.
Can I make special or specific requests?
Gryphon Stationers may be able to make minor modifications to your order for an additional fee. Please contact us for an estimate.
Can I rush my order?
We can make every effort to rush your order for an additional fee, depending on the size and timing of the order. Please contact Gryphon Stationers for an estimate.
What kind of Paper Stock do you use?
Gryphon Stationers uses paper stocks that are hand selected for their color, texture, and quality. If you are highly particular about the color, texture, and weight of your paper, please request a Sample Packet, under ’Inquiries’ in the main menu.
Will I receive some type of proof for my order?
Within 1-3 business days of placing your order, a link will be emailed to you containing the layouts for Final Approval of your order; this is your last chance to review and approve your content and layout prior to the files being sent to the printer. Gryphon Stationers is not responsible for any content, layout or spelling errors after Final Approval.
Can I track the status of my order?
At this time there is no online tracking for your order; if available, a tracking number will be emailed to you when your order has shipped.
The very first glimpse your guests have of your wedding will be the Save the Date or Invitation. This is the first hint at what kind of event they will be attending and therefore is one of the most important decisions to make in your wedding planning. Wouldn’t it be great for your guests to know whose wedding they are invited to by the look and feel of the invitation?
Designing your invitations Think outside the box, literally! Go beyond the standard 5x7 invitation (no 'card') and think about different ways to package your invitations. Invitations can be packaged a variety of ways and incorporate a variety of materials. Think multiple fold-over cards, stickers, folders, ribbons, booklets, etc.
Think beyond the colors of just ecru and black, even for the most traditional occasion. we love a modern twist on the traditional. Engraving is perfect for this because you can engrave on any color stock. Why not reverse the standard of ecru and black? Try a black paper stock and pair it with white text and a metallic silver, pewter, or gold as accents. Better yet, go bold. Use a dark stock like brown, red, or eggplant and pair it with a bright color such as Kelly Green, Tiffany’s Blue or Canary Yellow.
Ordering your invitations It important to really sit down and go through your guest list beforehand and figure out how many invitations need to go out. We have had it happen more then once when a couple orders too many invitations based on their actual head count and not the actual number needed for invitations. Take into account that a couple only requires one invitation.
Ordering extra envelopes At Gryphon, we automatically include a few extra envelopes for every order. Reason being, whether you’re hiring a calligrapher or hand writing the addresses yourself; no one is perfect and there is bound to be a mistake. We do however, recommend ordering up to 25 extra envelopes just to be safe; this is an added expense but well worth it as it saves the heartache and stress when addressing with limited room for error.
If you are going to hire a calligrapher, we recommend speaking with them first as many calligraphers request 10% of the total for overage of envelopes. This means if you’re sending out 150 invitations, you will need 15 extra envelopes.
