The initial consultation was great. The cakes tasted fine, and I left a color sample with them so they could match my ribbon for my flowers. I asked for a mad-hatters cake, and was charged an extra fee because it was more difficult to make (design approved by the cake designer herself). They called me Friday before the Saturday wedding to inform me that they had lost the color sample. I had extra, no problems! When the cake showed up at the wedding, it was a flat 4 tiered cake, that was dry, but it was the right color! Disappointment! The grooms cake was also not like he had described to the business, but they seemed to understand, and did not call with any questions. Do not try to do anything but the traditional cake here!

Halepaska's is my favorite bakery around. I've had a cake their for every birthday, plus other special occasions. Their prices are WAY more affordable than anything in the Houston area and is just as delicious. Everyone at the wedding absolutely loved the cakes. They even delivered it an hour and half to the site for me. And it was STILL cheaper than a cake in Houston. I love love love their cakes. It was gorgeous. More beautiful than I ever expected. I had a bridal cake to serve 250 and a grooms cake to serve 200 and it cost me about $1000. That INCLUDED the delivery fees, rental fees and taxes,etc.

I bought our wedding cake and the groom's cake that served a slice each to all 70 of our guests for what I consider a real bargain. I also was able to take fabric colors to the bakery and they matched my colors exactly! On top of everything else the cakes were delicious. I had many compliments!

Halepaska's did a wonderful job on both the wedding cake and groom's cake. We were able to take in a picture of what we wanted for the wedding cake, and a drawing of the design on the top of the groom's cake and both were done to our specifications.

The cakes were delivered on time and were absolutely delicious.
