Awful wedding experience with Hannibal’s catering!!! Please read if you are thinking of using for your wedding…What we ordered:Baron of Beef, Parmesan Crusted Salmon with special dill sauce, Pasta, Antipasti, Potatoes, Salad, Assorted breads and breadsticks, Fruit display, Gift basket for Bride and GroomWhat was delivered to our wedding:Extremely dry/tough/overcooked beef that I would have sent back at a restaurant (and I was first person thru line), plain bland salmon filets in water (no crust, no parmesan, no dill sauce), one plain white roll option (nothing else), wrong fruit, and absolutely no gift basket to take with us when departing. They were able to get the pasta, salad, potatoes correct.The great menus my wife made herself did not even end up matching the food that was served to our guests at the wedding. We were told the food would be displayed in a nice way with multiple tiers/levels of the trays and displays. It was setup all even side by side right up on 8 guests’ table so they couldn’t move for over an hour until the line ended.The initial coordinator, Larissa, assigned to my wife and I’s special day was the most disorganized person. She never had our order correct to the point we had to make 4 total driving trips to their location in South Sacramento leading up to our wedding, not to mention countless emails and phone calls which were rarely returned within a reasonable amount of time. Each time we met at her location to correct her mistakes, she never came to us. We asked if salt and pepper etc would be brought, and her reply was “Oh..you wanted salt and pepper to be on the tables? I guess I can add that” (had we not questioned her, it would not have been there…things like this occurred throughout the process). She told us that her bartenders would be bringing keg taps for behind the bar so we would not need them…of course we followed up with someone else to double check this and they told us they do not even own those to bring out to weddings.We ended up having to switch coordinators a week before the wedding to Megan, and that obviously did not help. After the wedding dust settled, I finally got the owner Phil on the phone after he made little effort to resolve the situation with my mother-in-law. He admitted that things were clearly wrong and would only offer a 10% refund…I asked him what business screws up 75% of what we paid for and only gives 10% of the money back? …Phil said, “Well this conversation is going nowhere and hung up”Hannibal’s creates stress throughout your wedding that you simply do not need. There are better options out there I promise. Good Luck.

You want the wedding of your dreams at a great price?? I received at least 6 quotes from caterers that were just out of our budget. We finally got a quote from Hannibals that fit the bill, and we went to a tasting. I thought the food was great during the tasting, but people told me not to expect the same for the wedding. They're wrong! Hannibals catering did a fantastic job with our wedding. It was truly a memorable night, from outstanding place settings, delicious food and great service. All our guests were immensely impressed. Highly recommended!

We got many caterers quoted to us but decided to choose Hannibals catering because they have great menu packages with reasonable pricing. And their venue Garden Pavilion is so wonderful and convenience. On our wedding Day, all the staff on duty were polite,helpful, professional, and did quick job setting up our reception in the same area of the ceremony so that our wedding didnt get behind schedule. All the food was beautifully presented, perfectly fresh, and delicious. They indeed offered a very fair price for very high quality food.... It was a such a pleasure to work with Hannibals catering -they take great pride in their services and it was very evident on our special day. Great wedding caterer!

Hannibal's Catering was absolutely amazing with so much varities of menu to choose. All their staff friendly, and works very professional and organized. On our wedding Day all those present were very impressed with the quality and presentation. Everyone who attended our wedding continues to comment on how delicious our food was. We were so glad that Hannibal's catering helped to make our wedding Day so special and joyous.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work. I loved the decoration esp. the centre piece. The buffet table was decorated beautifully in a way that matched the rest of our decor and colors. The evening turned out wonderful, thanks to Hannibal's catering. Your staff was amazing, so easy-going and helpful. The food was delicious, I received so many compliments on how tasty it was. The event (our wedding) was such a success and we could not have done it without the help of all your wonderful staff. Hannibal's was the caterer in my son's wedding and everythings was just perfect, very professional indeed. "I personally want to tell you that your servers were excellent! I've had nothing less than great comments about your servers and of course, the food was great!" "We certainly will tell others about your catering service." Hannibal's catered our wedding and they were amazing! The food was delicious and plentiful! We started with both stationary and passed appetizers right after the ceremony. We had a buffet dinner which included a lot of variety and Hannibal's even packed up the leftovers for us to bring home. Hannibal's also did a separate kids buffet with mac n' cheese, hot dogs and chicken nuggets. We had our friends and families make pies for desserts and the catering staff dished up the pies for our guests. We also had a chocolate fondue station which was a big hit. The catering staff rinsed all of the dishes and re-packed them for the rental company to pick up so we didn't have to worry about it. With so many choices out there, we were very happy to have gotten such an amazing bang for our buck with Hannibals. We would definitely use their services again next time we need an event catered!

When we decided to have our wedding reception in Sacramento we searched online and found Hannibal's high on our lists.Because we worked and stayed in the east coast we only communicate by phones and emails for all the arrangement of the wedding receptions. Frankly speaking, in the beginning we were really nervous how the reception will turn out as we left everything from venue to catering for Hannibals to do for us and yet this is the first time we use them. Hannibal's catering went above and beyond our expectations. The food was wonderful, delicious, fresh and plentiful. Everything was set up to perfection . The vegetables were fresh, the meat was tender and the display and amount of food was perfect. The food was fabulous and everyone who attended our wedding is still raving about how good the food was. I can't even stress how smooth our wedding reception was. The wedding venue "Garden Pavilion" looked phenomenal and the entire staff was great, courteous and dressed so nicely! It was so nice to just enjoy the evening, instead of worrying about what was supposed to come next. Thanks to Phil and all his staff for making our wedding such a memorable Day.

We got married this August in Sacramento. Recommended by a friend, we had Hannibals as our caterer. From the beginning of our meeting to the tasting and the actual event, they were nothing but helpful and amazing. My guests raved about the quality and quantity of what they were served. The tables were beautifully set. I can't say enough about the service we received. To all 'bride to be' I would recommend Hannibals catering!

We use Hannibal's catering for our wedding at Garden Pavilion and we wanted to thank them for their amazing work catering ! They took care of all of our needs and made sure that all of our guests were happy and well served. The venue was beautifully decorated and food was delicious and plentiful. They made our entire event run smoothly and I felt very well taken care of throughout the entire day. Thanks to the entire staff of Hannibals catering for making our wedding such a memorable one.

I loved the food. Everyone at the wedding was giving us compliments. We had a sit down dinner with a choice of beef and chicken. There was one particular service person that was great and completely stood out from the rest. The only thing that happened was that they took our personal containers but they were dropped off 2 days later. But I would definitely recommend.

Hannibal's is a great venue. The food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. The only thing that I could complain about is that they use wait staff instead of bar tenders at my wedding. They didn't tap the keg correctly and thought that it was empty long before it was. My guests were told that there was no more beer or wine when there was plenty still to be had.

Hannibal's catering was fantastic to work with. Our menu tasting was a great experience, the staff were all extremely professional through the whole process. Their gourmet dishes were affordable and on our wedding day the presentation was beyond amazing. Hannibal's Catering did a terrific job catering for my wedding! I loved how they elegantly presented their food and cooked everything perfectly. Normally, I assume the chicken is always bad when its catered to you, but in this case, it was my favorite dish! The servers were polite, funny, and very respectful to all of my guests. I truly enjoyed Hannibal's Catering caterer to the happiest event in my life.

The food was amazing and the service was very good NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL! We got many compliments on our food. We couldn't been happier that we chose Hannibal's Catering. We would recommend them to anyone, their food is awesome.

My Husband and I had various appointments to different caters because food is very important in my culture. So, my husband told me that Hannibal's had cater their company luncheon and that the food was great. So, we decided to check them out. They were great!! I was very pleased with Jennifer who worked very closely with us and it turned out beautiful. The service was fantastic and the presentation was increadible!! I couldn't ask for more, they cut our cake, they pour our champagne! They were on top of their game for our wedding reception. We had a carving station, it was fantastic. We highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Hannibal's was the first caterer I visited. They had quite a variety of menu options for my husband and I. We ended up with a fairly inexpensive option of tortellini and a light sausage pasta. Hailey was our coordinator and stayed in touch with us throughout the whole planning process. The serving staff was extremely professional and even hepled us with serving and cutting our cake. I received so many complements on the food after the wedding as well. I was terrified that I was going to have to left overs to deal with as 20 people did not show up at the last minute.... not to worry most of the guests went back 2 or 3 times :) I was so happy I ran across Hannibals.

Everything about this vendor was excellent, they were always right on top of things and the food was AMAZING. It's been three years since i've been married, and i still have people telling me that the food was awesome at my wedding.
