The Harbor Club
Such a beautiful location - views for miles in all directions - and wonderful to be inside away from the Seattle rain. We planned our wedding while living out of town - but the Harbor Club took care of all the planning from a distance. Pretty spendy, but worth every penny! We did have to find another date, based on availability... but all worked out in the end.
Had the rehearsal dinner here. Overall had a good time, but they switched the room we had reserved on us a few nights before... Right after we had finished paying the balance...
We fell in love with this venue the moment we laid eyes on it. We decided that The Harbor Club will be our reception/ceremony/and catering site. The cost of the venue is expensive but it included 3 different things in one place. We dealt with the catering manager (Stacy) first and told her all of our vision. Then she was out due to maternity leave and told us that she will talk with our new catering manager and relay all information. Well..apparently not. We had to talk with the new catering manager (Lynda) and repeat ourselves. She later sent out a balance that we needed to sign- however, they miscalculated and was trying to bill us for double the cost they estimated! We had to go back and forth about 4 times until everything was calculated correctly. It was highly frustrating and shows that they are incompetent. During the rehearsal, they spelled my name wrong on the welcome message! Another frustrating thing..
However, during our wedding, Barbara (who is another catering manager I believe) was fantastic. She made sure our vision came to reality, she offered me a fantastic service- made me feel like a queen for a day. She was very attentive to my needs and with her level of service, it kind of washed out some negativity I had with the other two.. I love the venue! It was gorgeous during the ceremony, we had a view of lake union during our reception and beautiful downtown lights during our dancing. Overall, I felt the first two folks we had to deal with needed help..it is very important to give an accurate balance.
