Hard Rock Hotel Chicago
I had my heart set on the Hard Rock Hotel since the day I got engaged, everything was going perfect until my wedding planner at the hotel quit 10 days before my wedding. I was beside myself and everything seemed to be falling apart.
I was extremely nervous when I got to the hotel not knowing anyone or having a go to person.
Come to find out that now I have 3 go to people, Allison, Victoria and Tommie, they all took excellent care of me and my family and our wedding. So I was worried about not having 1 person to count on, instead I had 3. It worked out wonderfully and I can't tell you how many of my family members said it was the best wedding they've ever been too!
The food was amazing, top shelf liquor and the venue, I cannot rave about it enough.
Cocktail hour is held on the 4th floor with an outdoor patio on Michigan Avenue, it's amazing!
They also just put in a picture window in the Fender room (reception venue/dinner) who else has a giant picture window overlooking Michigan Ave? I don't think anyone.
Best Day of my life! I wouldn't have been happier with another place. The Hard Rock Hotel is perfect! Great Staff / Food /...
We were so excited to get married at the Hard Rock Hotel. We felt very confident in our event coordinator until the week of the wedding. We had a 4:30p appointment to finalize the days events the Wednesday before our wedding. She made us wait over an hour, because she was servicing a potential client. On the day of our wedding, she was no where to be found. We found out that she was again providing tours to potential clients. My groom and I had to run around all day making sure things the hotel promised to complete actually got done. He and I were the last ones to get ready for our own wedding. Several details that were agreed upon in our signed contract were completely missed. We are extremely disappointed in the service we received and will always have the memory of all that went wrong on our wedding day.....thanks to the Hard Rock Hotel.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony & reception at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday, August 12th, 2011. Overall, I was very happy with our wedding at the Hard Rock. All of our guests gave many compliments on the venue and especially the food. I loved that the location is very unique and is not your typical hotel wedding. Hard Rock also has the only balcony on Michigan Ave. which was great for our cocktail hour.
It was a very long process to sort through the details of our contract and getting everything finalized. It took about a month from the time we told the Catering Manager we wanted the venue for our wedding to the time we finally were able to sign a contract with the hotel and about a month and a half before we were able to put down a deposit. All of that made me very nervous that something would fall through and we'd be out a wedding venue! The woman we worked with was named Karen and she was very kind and helpful but she was very slow to respond to questions and when she did she would only answer a few of the questions I asked and not address all of them. A month before our wedding I received a phone call from a woman named Erica informing me that Karen was no longer with the hotel and that she would be taking over our wedding. That was very stressful a month before the wedding, but I wasn't very happy with Karen so I figured the change would be something good. Erica was very nice, very helpful, and always responded to my questions in a timely manner. I know she must have been stressed out as well picking up our wedding a month before the date! My only complaint I have about our wedding day has to do with the catering... It was in our contract that we would have a sparkling wine included in our wine package and that it would be served all night and there wasn't any sparkling wine the night of our wedding. Also, we were supposed to have vegetables with our dinner and I know of at least 1 table that did not receive vegetables as if maybe they ran out.
On the upside: The staff was very nice and flexible for our wedding! My husband and I were busy saying hello to all of our guests and never had time to eat our cake, so they kindly sent up a bunch of cake to our hotel room for us so we could have some. I thought that was so nice :) Erica did go out of her way for us to find us wines that we liked for our bar package since we weren't fond of the wine that they typically include in the package.
In the end, I would recommend the Hard Rock to others.
The Hard Rock was an amazing wedding location! We wanted something fun and unique, while still having an upscale touch. This exceeded our expectations!! The staff were so helpful and accommodating; I did not have to worry about anything! The food and service were amazing! Our guests had a blast!! The wedding suite was also beyond amazing.
I'll be honest, after we booked this location for our reception a year before the wedding, we got a little nervous because we went through 3 catering managers. There was a lot of repeating ourselves but in the end it all worked out.
Everyone worked hard to make our reception an enjoyable experience & it so was! The food was absolutely FANTASTIC and we even had our own waiter at our sweetheart table! When we made our rounds to each table, everyone kept telling us how amazing the reception, cocktail hour and food was. It made us so happy that we went with Hard Rock.
The only thing that wasn't taken care of was our linens. They were set on our tables but they were not steamed or ironed as we were told they would be. Thankfully, you really couldn't notice.
Absolutely wonderful establishment! Everyone I worked with was extremely friendly and professional. This was by far the easiest part of planning the wedding. If only the rest of planning a wedding could be so simple and pleasant! I would recommend this venue to anyone. You wont be disappointed! Oh, and the food was magnificent! To die for! I still receive compliments on our menu choices!
