Shannon and Andy were great! Choosing our photographer was one of the hardest decisions of our wedding. I am so glad that I chose the right one!!!! We were stress free our entire day and we had so much fun with them. Mike does not like to have his picture taken and I was worried that all of our pictures would reflect that, but Shannon was so great about not being in our face all day and we were able to just be ourselves! That was the best! Thanks Shannon!

First off, Shannon and her crew are some of the NICEST, welcoming, FUN, and talented people! Our engagement pictures were truly amazing, and Shannon even made us a great post card for our save the dates! Harthen Studios really captured our personalities! I can't even begin to tell you all the compliments we got on the pictures!! While we had SOME posed pictures, most of them were "in the moment" - this was important for us because my husband isn't a great "posed picture" kinda guy....and you would have NEVER known otherwise when we got them back.
...and the WEDDING! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing those pictures turned out! (not to mention knowing there was NOTHING to worry about the day of!!) I felt completely at ease knowing how those were going to turn out (I am sure you have heard horror stories from other brides about how the pictures weren't what they had hoped/expected/wanted).
I learned about Harthen Studios 3 years ago...they shot my best friends wedding (I LOVED the work!)....and while this sounds completely cliche, I met my husband at that wedding...then when it came time to chose my photographer, there was no question.
I would recommend this photographer in a heartbeat, and I know I will use them in the future for family pictures!
Shannon took the most beautiful pictures of our wedding. I really couldn't have asked for more from a photographer. Her sense of style, timing and artistic eye resulted in shots that really captured the details of my wedding day. Everyone who has seen my photos comments on how beautiful they are. In addition to this she blended seamlessly into our wedding party and was very easy to work with. She responded to my questions quickly, showed up on time and had the pictures posted in a very reasonable amount of time. I would recomend Harthen Studios to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. She really is the best.

We couldn't be more happy with our Photographer. She was so quick to respond to all our questions and concerns. She was great with getting back within a day or too. She was very friendly and down to earth. We got so many compliments from family and friends about how wonderful and funny our photographer was. Her prices and her photos were great! I booked Shannon without even meeting her in person. Scary I know! She was AMAZING. I felt like I had known her all of my life and we had never met. I wish that we lived closer because even though my wedding is over - I would STILL love to hang out with her and laugh! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photojournalism approach to their wedding photography.

Our wedding took place on July 7th, 2007 and from that day on Shannon Harthen became an honorary member of the family. Not only did she document every aspect of our wedding day, she did it in a discreet and loving way. Her eye for detail is extraordinary. We were pleasantly surprised by many of the proofs that included details that were important only to us...yet somehow Shannon knew to capture them. Handwritten notes on the altar, gifts displayed on the dining room table, the place card with my new name on it. Unlike traditional posed wedding portraits, Shannon's photos don't just document who was there, they also document the feelings and emotions. My husband and I have four teenage children between us, and the photos Shannon captured of them are priceless to us. Because of the children, we asked Shannon if we could forgo the engagement session and do a family session instead...after the wedding.
She was very flexible, and suggested we include the dogs too. No wonder we love her!
I have recommended Harthen studios to many people and will continue to do so. I have never been so relaxed being photographed, and never enjoyed the outcome so much. Our wedding photos were beyond our expectations.
From our engagement session up until the end of our reception, Shannon made it all so enjoyable…she felt like one of our invited guests. And…to top it off…the pictures are amazing. Blake has never been a picture person, but she captured some of the most amazing pictures of him and made him feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures are a quality that we, and our family and friends, have never seen before…and some really should be in a magazine!! We can’t thank Shannon enough for capturing every aspect of our engagement and wedding celebration and giving us those memories in a form that is so enjoyable to look at. We will cherish our images and keep them on display for everyone to see. We can’t wait to have another special life moment that she can help us capture…maybe some pregnancy and infant pictures!!
