Harvard Photography

I have done my e-pics already with Harvard and they cam out great!!! I would just recommend if you have pictures done at a park or distinct site, make sure you don't need a permit. We had ours done at the Griffith Observatory and we got kicked out before we were done because we didn't have a permit. I think Harvard should have had that covered before hand because they knew we were taking pictures there and had taken pics there before. I will not make that mistake for the wedding!

Harvard Photography was so wonderful to work with. The staff at Harvard (Jina, John and Debora-- they have others but these are the ones I worked with directly), were always available and on hand to answer any questions. They were very polite, professional and easy to work with. They allow you to switch out things from your package and like others have said, provide you with every single picture that is taken. For our e-session, Jose took the pictures at the beach. He was easy to work with and took great pictures. For our wedding, we had Lawrence and James (the assistant.) They captured every single thing that took place at the wedding and were constantly taking pictures.. They took many great pictures which makes it hard to choose for the album.

Harvard Photography is so organized and gives you detailed information about how to schedule the photo sessions for the day of the wedding as well as how to pick pictures for the album. They are AWESOME and I can't wait to see our album.

We love our photographs from Harvard. Our photo album is everything we wanted and more. The quality of the book itself is stunning. We also had an engagement session with Harvard which we were very happy with the results. The staff were always friendly and accommodating with all of our requests. Photography was at the top of our priority list while planning and I am very happy we found Harvard.

Great Concept. Several packages available and all are customizable. You can remove items in your package and use the cost for them towards other items or services.

Definitely affordable. We looked at several companies and freelance photographers, but found Harvard would be able to capture our special day in the way we wanted (photojournalistic) and were within our budget.

Great photographers, but book them early. That’s the one thing we missed out on. We were advised we could book the photographer at any time, but at least 2 months before the wedding. So we followed the advise, but by that time we had only 2 photographers to choose from and both were just okay. One was definitely better than the other, so we booked him. He ended up being our photographer for the Engagement Photos. We thought GREAT! That enthusiasm didn’t last long since during our Engagement session we asked him about how excited we were to have him on our wedding date. He stated he actually is going to a friend’s wedding that day! Somehow this information slipped through the cracks at Harvard. So I called them about this the following business day and they informed me that they had only 1 photographer available. So we had no choice, but to book him. He was again OKAY. We found out he’s a freelancer and is basically on call with Harvard as long as he doesn’t already have a gig. I was not too fond of his work. There were some photos that weren’t taken, were blurry or over exposed. Yes, Harvard sends you a list of photos typically taken and you can modify it as necessary. It does state that they will try their best to take all those you list, but it’s not guaranteed. All I can say is make sure someone in your bridal party, a family member or your DOC has a copy and is in charge of at least the Pre- and Post-Ceremony photos. Not sure if it’s normal, but our DOC stated she would not be there during Pre- and Post-Ceremony Photos since she had to be at the reception to ensure the vendors were on-time and setting up. There’s nothing we can do now, but vent and let you future brides know of our experience.

Despite our displeasure with the main photographer, overall it was a good experience. Just remember to book your photographer early and have someone at your wedding (i.e. DOC, MOH, friend or family member) have a copy of the Photo List to make sure all your shots are captured! Also having a second photographer is a MUST! We even think his photos were better than the main photographer.

My FI and have planned on spending a large portion of our budget on photography since we'll pretty much have it forever! Well, after months of searcing, we finally found them! THeir work is incredible and I think we will be very happy with the quality at the end!

We met Harvard Photography at a Bridal Show and booked an appointment with them for a month or so later. I went into the appointment not thinking we’d book them, but it’d be worth just checking out. After our meeting with them (viewing photos and looking through their packages and talking about what vision we wanted for our wedding), we knew we wanted to book them for our wedding! Their packages include everything, but they’re flexible if you want to switch things out. They are very accommodating and respond quickly to emails and/or phone calls. A huge plus for them is that they give you a CD with all your photos (engagement and wedding) after your wedding. We were especially excited because they give you total creative freedom when creating your wedding photo book. Harvard also posts the wedding pictures online (not the engagement photos); however they post EVERY single picture. We were a little disappointed that even photos with funny faces or eyes shut were posted online, but I didn’t want to root through all 2500 of them to pick out those I wanted deleted (although, I’m sure they would have if I asked them). They have a number of photographers, but we booked Jose for the engagement photos since we were having a beach wedding and he was amazing! He even got into the water with us to capture the perfect photo. He was easy to work with and very energetic – we knew we could trust him to capture our wedding day perfectly. We were right, Jose (along with Jen, as a second photographer) captured our day perfectly. Our guests kept commenting on how many great photos he got and how he snapped pictures the ENTIRE evening. We were given our CD about 6 weeks after our wedding and it did include EVERY photo that was taken (even those with eyes shut). We have not received our book yet, but we did get a framed engagement picture and our wedding DVD slideshow. Both came out really good. I would definitely recommend them. Their services are great; they’re reliable and willing to work with you!

I love, love, loved Harvard Photography! They were VERY professional, VERY friendly, always on time, VERY responsive to emails/phone calls and questions, and dressed appropriately for our wedding. They really worked with our budget and I was MORE than happy with our pictures...they looked wonderful. Harvard caught every key moment and had great ideas for each posed shot. Our album looks AMAZING!!! I've showed it to MANY people and multiple people have said that it is the most beautiful album that they've ever seen. I know they were telling the truth because when I saw it, I was lost for words. My friend also used Harvard for her wedding and her photos were just as beautiful. I would definitely recommend Harvard for any event...beautiful work, reasonable pricing and excellent friendly staff. 5 stars for sure!

The wedding photos were a top priority for us when we were choosing vendors. We had heard excellent things about Harvard Photography from a reception site, and then we met Jina from HP at a bridal show. Jina and Debora were so easy to work with, and they offered packages for every price range. Our photographer, Shauna, was wonderful and did an excellent job in taking the shots we had discussed with her prior to the wedding. We love all our pictures and our album! Our parents love their coffee table books as well. We would happily recommend HP to anyone!

My Husband and I are very greatly to have worked with Harvard Photography to photograph our wedding! We were referred to Harvard by The Hacienda in Santa Ana. We met a rep from Harvard at The Hacienda open house. While browsing thru their many albums they had on display, their work was truly amazing and captured ever precise moment. Right away my Husband and I knew their teams of photographers are very talented.
On the day of the wedding, our photographers were Sam and John. Right away the dynamic duo got to work doing what they do best. We got the photos back a month from the wedding, and they are spectacular. It was difficult to pick which shots to use in our album, which is not a bad problem to have. All our family and friends have said that they are the best wedding photos that they have seen. You only get your special day once, and Sam and John photos captured ours beautifully, so that we'll be able to remember it forever.

Jina was wonderful and nice! Sam, our photographer is the best out there! He took the best pictures and has a great personality. They are also great value for the price. They have excellent packages that include many albums, photos, and all digital negatives. I am so happy with choosing Harvard Photography!! They exceeded what I had imagined them to be!

Harvard Photography is a very reliable professional company. My husband and I were beyond impressed at how amazing our wedding photos came out. From the engagement session, to our wedding pictures and album, they captured every detail!!! The office staff was very polite and organized. Anytime I emailed them for any questions, they responded the same day. The photographers were fun and we felt very relaxed having them capture every precious moment. We just picked up our wedding album and it took our breath away. Even relatives got teary eyed at the fantastic and amazingly creative work that Harvard did. Harvard Photography was a wonderful company to work with. Their packages are reasonable and you can add or take out certain things to personalize it. They were very easy to work with and communicate with. The photographers were very friendly and were able to make myself and my wedding party feel very comfortable. I am not very photogenic but they caught many wonderful moments. I got a cd with all my pictures and I was able to really taylor my album to my own tastes. They are very reliable and I would recommend them to anyone. In fact my sister plans on using them as well.

I was impressed! my photographers were the best, very professional and caught every part of my wedding that i didn't but they didn't get in the way. They did a lot of candid shots witch I loved. Once I got my pictures I cried they were so beautiful they put it on a slide show for me with music they took over 1,000 pictures, and the price I paid I thought I owed them more money. Anyone planning their wedding I would highly recommend them very professional and great prices and everyone I came across at Harvard was exceptionally nice and helpful.

Working with Harvard Photography was very pleasant. I communicated with them exclusively via e-mail and they were always quick to respond to my questions. I was referred to Harvard by my aunt who used them at her wedding. Her pictures were beautiful. We contacted and met with them and I immediately booked them. My e-session took place at the beach and we had so much fun and the pictures looked great. On our wedding day our photographers captured every aspect of our wedding. We had a large bridal party and they were able to work with and incorporate everyone without a problem. On our wedding day our photographers took close to 2000 pictures!

The thing I loved most about our package was that we were able to keep all of the digital negatives. This way we were able to print out the pictures we wanted to give to family members without the additional cost of purchasing the prints. Overall we had a great experience with Harvard Photography and we would recommend them.

Photography was high on my list of priorities and I wanted more of a photojournalistic style. We had 2 photographers and they took many many candid shots as well as some posed ones. The photographers were both great to work with from the beginning, they weren't intrusive. We were incredibly happy with the pictures so I can't wait to see the finished book. The people at Harvard are all great to work with, they never tried to push anything on us. Everything they promised, they have delivered so far and in such a pleasant way. I will update my review once that is in.

UPDATE:
We just got back our wedding album and they are amazing!!! We got our big one and 2 smaller parent replicas, all which came with our package. I cannot rave enough about Harvard. Working with them has been great, they are extremely nice and very professional. Everything they promised us they delivered and in good time too and we are extremely happy with their work.

We loved our experience with Harvard Photography. The pictures are beautiful and they took every shot we requested! We couldn't have made a better decision hiring Harvard Photography. Our photographer and florist were the two most important vendors, and they both did not disappoint.
When interviewing photographers, we were looking for photographers who had a photo journalistic style with a traditional twist. Harvard fit that description perfectly and the whole staff has been so easy to deal with. And their prices are reasonable as well.

FI and I have booked Harvard after checking with 2 other photographers we liked. Gina at Harvard was so friendly and helpful. She helped us put together a package that worked within our budget. In the end we are getting the engagement session, wedding day photos all day and two full size parent albums for a great deal! Their cample product looked amazing and they came highly reccomended. Can't hardly wait! :D :D
