Donald, who runs Harvest Catering, produces delicious food. We had a September 1st wedding on the North Shore with an outdoor plated dinner, and the food was delicious and well-prepared. Our wedding meal tasted as good as our tasting did, despite the difference in scale. The vegetarian entree and the steak were equally good, and no one's meal felt like an afterthought. He and his crew were organized and efficient, and I think his pricing is fair and transparent.

If not for Donald at Harvest Catering, our wedding probably would have sucked.

Had we not met Donald we almost certainly would have planned a straightforward, boring, okay kind of wedding. Instead, thanks to his experience and recommendations we hosted an incredibly fun, fresh wedding with more great food and great fun than any wedding we've ever been to.

The great food? It was truly great. So great in fact that we had very few leftovers, and most of them were polished off at the after party. There is simply no replacement for a professional (Donald) who has abundant experience, loves his job and does it impeccably.

My husband and I used a venue that had a list of 7 caterers we had to choose from. After comparing prices and doing food tastings at two of the vendors, we decided to go with Harvest. During the tasting, Donald, the owner, was more than willing to craft a menu that suited our desires (we had shrimp and scallops!) and the cost couldn't be beat. Post-selection, we had our worries (Donald is a phone call guy, but we prefer email so that there's a paper trail of all our discussions) but in the end, Harvest came through with shining colors. The food was AMAZING! Donald even did the impossible--keeping food served station-style hot through the whole meal! And he remembered every little detail, which was a bigger task that it seems--we had a ton of DIY details like table runners, seating cards, and paper straws and he incorporated them all. All in all, fantastic vendor!

Donald and his staff provide the most amazing food and service! Many of our guests told us that our wedding was the first wedding that they had been to that they actually liked the food! Donald is extremely flexible, and was very helpful in making our guests with special requests enjoy, and love their food.

Donald and his team at Harvest are consummate professionals, and they're also a lot of fun! Just the type of people you would be thrilled to have at your wedding. We asked for an elegant breakfast for dinner and Donald delivered. Everyone (even the 80+ year olds) raved about the food. We actually made sure we could enjoy it and it was indeed delicious. His staff was thoughtful enough to prepare special kids meals for the younger guests, and parents and children alike were thrilled. At the end of the night Donald and his crew packed up the leftovers and we enjoyed breakfast foods for 3 more days! (Sadly for us, our friends polished off the french toast on the way to their hotel room.) The set-up and tear down went off without a hitch, and that also included setting the reception tables up in the same room that the ceremony took place in under an hour. Donald checked in with us through out the night, and when he wasn't there his team acted as if he were. A true testament to his staff. Harvest coordinates all the rentals, and even set up the tables centerpieces better than I imagined! We can't wait to plan another party so we can have Harvest cater it!

Though a little pricey, Donald and his crew made my wedding day FLAWLESS!!! He is the best at putting out fires and providing outstanding food and service. We had changes at the last minute and he took care of them immediately and with a smile. I would recommend to everyone!

We were a little scared that our attempts to create a unique atmosphere in an art gallery might be met with skepticism or even disapproval. Any of our worries about the tapas reception disappeared completely when we saw the delighted and satiated faces of our guests that night. We heard, and later, read some of their responses concerning the amazing food in emails, but didn�t completely appreciate the feast until we attacked the left-overs tonight; four days after the event. Amazing is the only word that comes to mind. I don�t believe there is a word in the English language that can describe the flavors we sampled.


Aside from the menu there are intangibles involved here that I don�t believe were included in the price. The personalities that come with the whole Harvest experience are priceless. From the Don, who was ready to leave the reception to make local purchases when our baker looked like he was going to be a no-show, to the extraordinarily personable bartender and stealthy wait-staff, to the head chef, who not only prepared the culinary art work to rival that which was hanging in the halls, but using his blackberry, took the time to lookup fashion etiquette in an effort to aid the groomsmen with the buttoning of their vests.


I also feel the need to thank him for keeping the bride sane during this whole ordeal. Not just on the day, but for weeks leading to the event. To everybody with whom she spoke, he was referred to as her wedding �Guru�, helping her with all questions nuptial. For all of these reasons, though it probably seemed unorthodox to some, It didn�t surprise us at all that the man responsible for putting all of this together should receive an ovation as he left the room.


We were proud to have Harvest as our cater for our wedding, would refer him to anybody who asked, and will hire him again at the first available opportunity.

Harvest catering was absolutely amazing!! Don, the owner, was absolutely wonderful and so genial and friendly! He was even on the dance floor at one point in the night! The food was superb and our friends are still talking about it. His staff was so friendly and helpful. We were short a bridesmaid bouquet and one of the staff members made a bouquet for us out of some extra flowers the florist had left for hor d'oeuvre trays. We were absolutely thrilled with how wonderful this catering company was!

The food was amazing. Donald Forrester works with you to design exactly the meal you want to serve and is open to whatever you have to say. We had six different hors d'ouevres and all were delicious. The portion sizes on the entrees were incredible- and also delicious! Everyone that was at our wedding is still raving about the food.
