Reviews for Hassas Photography

We were referred to Sam through my husband's family friend. He is AMAZING. Our engagement pictures were taken in the pouring rain and they came out so good. See my BIO for the full story on that. We haven't gotten our wedding pictures back yet but I have no doubt they will be outstanding. Sam is a true professional and is pretty much our life long photographer. He is flexible, friendly, creative, funny, and is just really good at his job. Just take a look at his blog and you'll see that the quality of his work is way beyond his prices. His packages are really affordable and he's flexible with them. Book him, you wont be disappointed!

We booked sam for our wedding and after he failed to show up for our engagement session we lost some confidence in him. Keep in mind that I got my hair and makeup done, as well as my fiance and I both took the day off from work. When we asked what happened, Sam got super defensive and actually started to yell and call me names! Although I remained calm, the "professional" continued to freak out and yell out lame and conflicting excuses. The only positive thing I can say is that at least he gave us our deposit back when we asked, and ultimatly apologized, saying his actions where, and I quote, "lame and inexcusable"

Sam is one of the best wedding photographers in the West Coast!

My husband and I found Sam Hassas on WeddingWire and we highly would recommend his services for Photography. We had a wonderful time at the engagement session with him and then again on our Wedding 7/4/09, yes he even gave up his Holiday to be our photographer. He is very professional and loves to make things fun and different. Sam has gone up in price since we booked with him but I would still highly recommend getting together with him. He was not your average photographer who kept bothering you during your wedding day, he just shows up and makes it all work out perfectly.

Sam has incredible talent as a photographer and creativity explodes from every photo he shoots. You will want to book him for your wedding photography!
I have known Sam for quite some time and is a personal good friend of mine. Ever since I have known him, his style continues to evolve and his quality has impressed me from day one. Now that I look at him, and even have the opportunity to shoot side by side with him, he is a true artist and a fun guy to be with. You won't find a photographer equal to his style, quality and personality. If I were getting married again, Sam would be on my short list of 3 individuals in the entire world that I would hire: and as a photographer, I know a LOT of the world's best photographers.

FAQ for Hassas Photography
1. Water, water, water. Cut back on caffeinated drinks and sodas the three days before
your wedding. Your skin will look its best after you’ve cleansed your body with water
for a few days and you’ll have less anxiety and stress without caffeine in your system.
2. Avoid salty foods and alcohol the night before your wedding, which can cause
swelling, bloating, and fatigue. If possible, stick to whole foods rather than processed
foods. Your wedding will be a marathon and your body needs the best fuel possible.
If you do have alcohol, make sure you drink one glass of water for every glass of
alcohol to avoid dehydration and hangover symptoms.
3. Take a walk. Make time to put in a little bit of non-strenuous exercise leading up to
your wedding in order to help your body release the tension and adrenaline that
builds in anticipation of a very exciting day.
4. Get a full night of sleep. Even if it means going to bed very early. People who are
tired often blink excessively which can ruin a crucial photographic moment!
5. Don’t do anything you wouldn’t normally do a week before your wedding. If you’re
getting a hair cut, deep tissue massage, herbal spa treatment, or going to the tanner,
give your body a week to adjust in case of a sudden adverse reaction.
6. Brides should have extra powder makeup for touch ups after the ceremony and
grooms should carry a handkerchief to take care of sweat. Wedding dresses and
tuxes will make you hot just about any time of the year, but you don’t have to look
sweaty… unless you want the Gatorade look!
7. Plan your wedding as if it’s a week before your actual wedding date so that you can
plan a week of relaxation and spending time with the person you’re about to marry.
Take time out for each other to remember why you’re going through the stress of
planning a wedding. Nourish the only thing that really matters on your wedding dayyour
love for each other.
Best wishes for many years of happiness, togetherness, and never-ending love!
