We decided at the last minute to get married in Hawaii while we were there on vacation. All my requestes were meet. We loved the site and the offical that performed the ceremony fit our personalities. I would use Hawaiian Island Wedding for our vow renewal in the future.

Tim Clark and his team did an exceptional job with planning virtually every aspect of our wedding. We couldn't have been happier with his professionalism, thoroughness, and availability and responsiveness to what must have seemed like our never-ending questions. Tim always took our calls and they frequently lasted more than an hour as we sought to arrange just the right location (beachfront villas facing west for a sunset wedding), musician (Evan Schulman was PERFECT) and appropriate music for each part of the ceremony, Officiant, make up and hair stylist, reception catering (on-stie at the villas), photography, and even the cake. He also helped us find an extremely helpful activities planner for our honeymoon! Tim was totally understanding of the many changes we made to attendees and the resulting impacts on items such as menus and timing. He always seemed to know what questions to ask of us to ensure that we had considered all aspects of our arrangements. Finally, Tim never tried to make this into 'his wedding'; he guided us with appropriate questions about what we might like and would offer suggestions, but knew just when to let us explore different options and when to help us choose the aspects of the ceremony or reception that were as we uniquely wanted them. There are other firms offering 'wedding services' for less, but we consider the scope and depth of his knowledge and services and the value that we received as very, very welll worth the price. We wholeheartedly and without reservation give Tim and his firm our complete endorsement - - as well as our sincere gratitude for helping us make our Maui wedding, reception, and honeymoon perfect. I cannot say enough about our amazing wedding experience! We gave Tim very little notice and we still had an amazing wedding and honeymoon! Tim did all of the work too. I called, told him when I was arriving and when I was leaving and he did all the rest. There are always small 'issues' that happen when you are planning a wedding from a distance, but even those were handled quickly and without any stress to myself or my husband.Tim did everything he said he would and we were thrilled with the package. I would willingly and enthusiastically reccommend Hawaiian Island Weddings to anyone who is thinking of getting married in Hawaii.

Hawaiian Island Weddings caught our eye, as their website was easy to use and very professionally laid out. They have a wide range of selection, we wanted to stick with the Hawaiian theme and they had the perfect package...a traditional Hawaiian wedding! We were not disappointed, it was everything that we hoped for and more. Arranging a destination wedding can be daunting, but Tim and his team were friendly and helpful and made it so easy. We would definitely recommend them!

We had an awesome wedding and honeymoon, all thanks to Hawaiian Island Weddings! We managed to plan the whole thing online without ever going to Hawaii until it was time for the wedding. It was SO nice to not have to run around trying to tie up loose ends to coordinate the whole thing. All we had to do was pick out our clothes and show up for the big day! It was a great time and everything went off without a hitch. We loved being able to come to Maui and relax, and in the middle of our vacation, we got married! No time spent fretting about how everything was going to go, as we knew the event was in very capable hands, so we just showed up and had a great time! Mr. Clark and his staff were very professional and he always answered my questions right away. My husband and I both agree that we wouldn't change anything about our wedding or honeymoon.

We used Hawaiian Island Weddings to coordinate our vow renewal in Maui. Tim was very responsive and professional and took the worry out of planning a long distance wedding. The minister (Rev. HIW assisted us with our wedding in Maui on September 2, 2011. This was a very small ceremony on the beach with just us (the bride and groom), Tim Clarke (the owner/photographer), his daughter (Elizabeth -witness), and the officiant (Vance Rosette).

When planning this arrangement, we did not know what to expect. Neither of us had gone to a beach wedding before. Our experience with HIW far exceeded our expectations!!! We had a wonderful and very memorable experience. The beach location was stunning. It was secluded and beautiful. Our officiant, Vance Rosette, was wonderful and really put a lot of effort into performing a great ceremony. Tim and his daughter were fantastic. Tim took the most amazing photos. He took his time and got some great shots. His daughter, Elizabeth, was so patient and helpful. We could not have been more pleased with HIW and our wedding experience. I would recommend HIW to anyone who wants a small, intimate wedding in paradise! I understand that HIW also assists with larger weddings and I'd bet that they would do a great job in this regard as well.

Very fast to respond to e-mails and very helpful with any questions you have about your wedding day. Was very easy to get into wedding website to look at pictues and share website with friends and family of pictures that were taken of our wedding day. Very resonable price compared to other places that I looked at.

We appreciated the fact that this was one of the only companies that would accomodate our wedding desire to get married on the North Shore of Oahu on Valentines day. Meeting our wedding co-ordinator prior to our wedding day to preview our wedding site was huge in lowering our stress level as to what are we getting for our dollar. Our wedding co-ordinator, photographer, and Reverand did everything they could to put us at ease so we could truly enjoy our wedding experience. Using professionals to take care of the planning is the only way to go to creating a stress free and incredible wedding experience.

Excellent organization, responsive to needs and desires, little more expensive than anticipated however Hawaii at Christmas (say no more).Experience of a lifetime and would recommend it including our planner to anyone.

We booked our wedding from thousands of miles away. Tim was prompt in his responses by email and the website was so informative. When we arrived and spoke on the phone, Tim was very reassuring that everything was ready for us - and it was, every last detail! Our wedding was beautiful, personal, relaxed (what we wanted) and so fun!

I highly recommend the North Shore. We had a beautiful private beach all to ourselves.

After shopping around a friend of mine recommended Hawaiian island weddings. I checked out their site and felt good about them being part of the BBB. They Molokini package was exactly what me and my now husband wanted. You can customize to your special needs/wants or leave it as is as we did. Price was better then other companies we looked at. The wedding planning was quick and simple. They took care of everything, all we had to do was show up. Stress free and everything worked out as close to perfect as it could be!

My husband and I worked with this company in order to set up the officiant for our ceremony. We decided to get married on a remote part of Maui and it was difficult finding a minister willing to travel to the area. Hawaiian Island Weddings quickly located a minister who was willing to perform the ceremony. They were easy to work with and attentive. They also coordinated with a licensing agent to schedule an appointment to procure our marriage license. I only gave them three stars for value because there was a large additional fee for the minister to come out to Hana. This is understandable, however, we paid more for the typical services than other similarly situated individuals would. I would recommend this vendor.

We used the planning services but when we checked out the recommended beach location and decided we wanted something else, Tim was super responsive and changed the permit right away. The officiant Tim hired was great and made the moment really nice for us. The photos were also really nice. Generally we were quite pleased and would recommend the service. We made our own licensing appointment and scouted our own location, so perhaps we felt a bit like we had done some of the planning but paid for HIW to do all of it.

My husband and I found Hawaiian Island Weddings during a Google search when we decided to have a destination wedding in Maui. The beach location was beautiful and private, our flowers were fresh, our minister was amazing, the hotel was top notch in service, location, and package perks (such as buffet breakfast and beautiful room with a view) and we had beautiful photos. The planning process was a bit difficult, everything was either by e-mail or phone. Some information was lost in the process and needed to be repeated/confirmed. E-mails were not always answered quickly and phone calls were hit or miss (even considering the time difference). Some mistakes were made, but Tim did correct them. He tends to do the same poses in all his photos for all wedding couples, but the pictures were still amazing and the DVD slideshow he made was also beautiful, just a little pricey. Another negative is he gives you the low resolution photos on your photo CD, so even though you can upload them to Shutterfly to order 4x6 prints, you cannot order anything bigger then a 5x7 because picture quality goes out the window, forcing you to order bigger prints from him and they are outrageously priced. Our dinner on the beach could of been better, the chef was nice, but the food was so so. The wedding cake however, was very delicious. Towards the end of the night, you could tell Tim just wanted to get away from the wedding and we did get kicked out of the park before being completely done with our dinner and deserts.

All in all, the wedding of our dreams did come true, the total price was better than having a traditional wedding, our family and friends had a great time and we had a wonderful honeymoon.

Tim seemed great over the phone up until we needed to start getting all the final details in order. I could tell before leaving for Maui that we would encounter problems. He is very disorganized and even though he may have everything written down in his notes, he did not seem to refer to them when speaking with me. He also refused to let me speak to the florist on my own, even though I just wanted to discuss the type of flowers used in my bouquet.

Once on Maui, we were greeted very rudely when we met at his house for a rehearsal. He acted as though he did not expect us, even though we had arranged this meeting only a week before.

Day of the wedding - I got a call about noon (wedding was at 5:45pm) that the beach that was planned for our wedding was going to be under water at that time and we would need to find a different beach. The reason it would be under water is that a south swell had been coming in for the past week and the tide was higher than usual. While I realize that the tide is something out of human control, he definitely should have expected this and planned another location at our meeting with him three days prior to the wedding. He suggested several other beaches and did send me some pictures, but most were near hotels, large, and crowded or already had multiple weddings booked on them. My husband had to go out searching for a beach himself. Luckily he found a good beach and we were able to do the wedding there. We arrived on the beach about 45mins before Tim to take pictures. We decided where we would like the ceremony to take place and the whole wedding party of 22 people were in that section of the beach. I assumed that Tim would notice us and come over to greet us before setting up. Instead, he just began to set up the ceremony spot on the other end of the beach. When I asked if we would move the ceremony spot to the place I wanted I was told a straight "NO." When I asked why he said "we have already set up over there." After some convincing by my mom, the ceremony site was moved and neither Tim nor the people helping him were happy with us after that. If I'm going to pay him for the wedding, I think I should pick where it is set up. The last pitfall - we had ordered leis for all of our guests, but unfortunately, Tim did not count the leis that came in the box and we were short two. While he did immediately refund us the money, two of our guests felt left out as a result. Also, the flower circle, path, and bouquets, although beautiful, were not the colors I requested.
On a positive note, Rev. Vance Rosete and the guitarist Tarvin Makia were amazing. The ceremony reading was done very well and the minister seemed to really care to make our day special. The music was great and he even accommodated a song not on his original playlist. The cake from Maui Wedding Cakes that was delivered to our reception was also very good. The star rating is solely based on Tim Clark and Hawaiian Island Weddings.

While our wedding was more than I could have dreamed of and I regret nothing, Hawaiian Island Weddings as a wedding planner was very disappointing. I would not recommend them to anyone wanting to get what they expect.
