Heavenly Flowers & Events
Angie has the capability to get inside of your head and see what you want for your bridal bouquet, bridesmaid flowers, ceremony, reception centerpieces, etc. She is VERY knowledgeable about every single flower and she comes prepared with everything.
She is the not expensive!! She is very comparable to other florist in the greater Sacramento. So you get everything that you ask for a fraction of the cost!
Angie was very knowledgeable about the types of flowers that were "in season" and would work well with our decor and she offered great ideas that would help cut costs so we could stay within our budget. She does beautiful work and the outcome was more than I could have imagined! I recommend her services to everyone!
Working with Angie and Amanda was fantastic!! The flowers for the wedding were perfect! She was happy to work with me through every step of picking out which flowers to use and how to present them. She was very straightforward about pricing, and worked with me to get the look I wanted in a price range that fit my wedding. It has been 6 months since my wedding and I still have the bouquet she made as the background on my computer! Overall she was great to work with and provided a great product!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! In a nutshell, that's how I'd describe our floral arrangements. Angie, from Heavenly Flowers was so easy and great to work with. She listened to my vision, and executed it beautifully. Not only did she have amazing ideas and suggestions, but she was very helpful in the design phase. I would strongly encourage any couple to go with Heavenly Flowers if they're looking for a florist. Trust me, they will not be disappointed!
Angie with Heavenly Flowers and Events was great to work with us and guided us every step of the way in making our selection for flowers and centerpieces. Unlike some brides I didn't really have specific flowers in mind that I wanted and didn't have ideas for centerpiees. Angie was able to get a feel for our taste and preferences, make recommendations and walk us through the process.
The flowers turned out beautiful and looked even better than I envisioned. The centerpieces and my boquet were true to my style and I loved them. We were very happy with the service, professionalism, quality of the flowers and the decor. We stayed within our budget but didn't feel that we skimped on anything either. You are in safe and very competent hands with Angie. I highly recommend this vendor.
I recommend the services of Heavenly Flowers & Events to make your Wedding Day that very special day you always wanted, that will be remembered and cherished by you and all your guests for many years to come. ~~ Angela Neik, www.calligraphybyangela.com Dallas Calligrapher
I have to say I really enjoyed working with Angie Zimmerman of Heavenly Flowers and Events. I needed a very specific look for a bouquet for a bridal shoot I was doing. I showed Angie images of the location as well as the bride's dress and described what I was looking for. She made me a bouquet that nailed it! I absolutely loved what she put together for me. It was unique, elegant and fit the look I was going for exactly. I just felt like she was really listening to what I wanted and made a lot of effort to get it for me. She is also just a very nice lady. I highly recommend her.
5 Tips on What to Avoid When Planning Your Wedding Flowers
by Angie Zimmerman, The Wedding Flower Diva

1) Valentine’s Day + Weddings = Expensive flowers
As romantic as it may sound to plan a Valentine’s Day wedding, beware of the cost of flowers around that time of year! About three weeks before Valentine’s Day, the prices of ALL flowers (especially roses) start to creep upward.
As a wholesale buyer, I can expect to pay four or more times the regular price for roses, and about 25% more for red, white, or pink flowers of any other variety. All other flowers go up at least 20%.
What does that mean to you, the consumer (aka the bride)? Don’t plan a wedding too close to Valentine’s Day . . . unless you don’t mind spending extra money for your flowers. Even the day after Valentine’s Day is too close, because your flowers typically need to arrive three days before you need them to allow time for processing and arranging.
Plan your wedding for at least four days after Valentine’s Day to avoid paying for expensive flowers.
2) Other Costly Holidays
Stay away from other holidays such as Mother’s Day and Christmas for the same reason as Valentine’s Day. However, flower prices generally go up a mere 10-15% for these holidays, compared to Valentine’s Day, when flower prices rise 50-75%.
3) Types of Flowers
Don’t set your mind on a particular type of flower unless you know it is available around the time of your wedding … or you don’t care what it costs. Although flowers can be ordered from anywhere in the world, you’ll need to factor in the import costs, which includes fuel.
At today’s fuel prices, that will dramatically increase your wedding expenses. Instead, rely on your florist to give you suitable alternatives for the season in which you’ll be getting married: similar shapes, sizes, textures, and colors. You’re way ahead of the game if you stick to flowers
that are available locally at the time of your wedding.
4) The Heat
Consider what the weather is likely to be at the time of year you’re getting married, particularly if any part of your wedding is to be held outdoors. Some flowers hold up better than others in the heat, but be realistic. If the temperature outside is 90 degrees or higher, everything melts … the flowers, the drinks, the people!
5) Friday and Sunday Discounts
If you choose to get married on a Friday or Sunday, most facilities will give you a pretty good discount. But keep in mind that most businesses are closed on Sundays, so expect to pay a little extra for Sunday deliveries from florists, rental companies, bakeries, etc.
