I was so worried about hiring a wedding planner in the beginning because I was afraid of someone else telling me how to plan my wedding, but Heels Above Event Planning was the perfect fit for our wedding planning needs! My husband and I got the Partial Wedding Planning (Peep Toe Package), which to my surprise was reasonably priced. This service was perfect for us, because we had almost everything lined up, but we needed help with managing everything along with our busy schedules.
We appreciate how Lynn listened and allowed us to finish, before speaking. She is not the type of wedding planner who forces her ideas on you. Lynn creates an atmosphere where people can share their ideas and not fear ridicule. One of Lynn’s most important skills along with her ability to listen was her ability to effectively communicate complex topics like: budget, family dynamics, seating arrangements, and problem bridesmaids! Over several months of planning, this ability was very useful for my husband and me, and helped alleviate a lot of stress. Lynn allowed us to express our vision for our wedding, but she also helped us stick to reality. She knows when to listen and when to offer solid advice. Lynn is very good at sharing knowledge and information without it seeming pushy.
Whenever we had meetings planned we could always count on her being on time or calling/emailing a few days in advance to reschedule. During the last few months before our wedding, Lynn’s attention to customer satisfaction did not go unnoticed. I appreciate the stern reminders about not adding too much to my plate. She completely surprised me by how far she will go to make sure her bride wasn’t stressed! Fortunately for us Heels Above Event Planning she was the first firm we contacted. Lynn conducted herself as a true professional along with being very personable. From the beginning to the end we were very pleased with the services Lynn provided! It’s too bad we don’t have another major event to plan, but I will definitely recommend Heels Above Event Planning to anyone who is need of help planning a memorable event!

Over the years, I have planned events for friends, families, co-workers, and in past positions that I have held. I’ve help positions in other industries, but nothing gives me greater joy and makes me happier than planning. With the support and encouragement of friends, I started my own planning firm.
I have been the Maid of Honor and the Bridesmaid in several friends’ weddings. I was happy to play such an important role in such a big day in their life. The one thing that I noticed with them is that many of them were not able to have the wedding they wanted or the planning process left them stressed out, crying, and just plain unhappy. I found it sad that such a joyous, memorable occasion left them so unhappy.
Because of this, I make sure that my Brides are able to relax and enjoy the planning process. If I can hear the words “I feel so much better,” or “my nightmares have stopped about something not being done!” from a Bride, to me that is one of the biggest compliments that I can receive. Regardless of a Bride’s budget, her wedding day should be magical.
I have a Master’s of Business Administration in Management and also received my Wedding Planner certification from US Event Guide.
What sets you apart from other Wedding Planners?
I form a partnership with my Brides. The tagline of my company, “we take care of the doing, you take care of the relaxing” is something that I take very seriously. I plan as much or as little of your wedding as you would like based on the package that you choose. I also have a very strong belief I the sun down rule. The sun down rule is simply that if I am to provide you with some type of information, I will get back to you by the close of business, even if it is just to let you know that I am still working on something. I never want my Brides to feel as if they are unimportant or that their question or needs have fallen into the “information hole.”
Can I really afford your services?
Any Bride can have a wedding planner. Wedding planning, like any other service, is based on how much you need. There are several packages for the Bride that needs to have all aspects of her wedding planned to those who only need day of management. Our wedding packages are created so that no Bride feels that she cannot afford a planner if she so desires to have one.
What Bride do you work best with?
Brides that need assistance in planning any aspect of their wedding; If you are the Bride that knows how you want your dream wedding to look but aren’t quite sure how to get there or you want to plan some part of your wedding, but need some assistance. I also work well with Brides that may just need a little guidance.
Who will not benefit from the services of Heels Above Weddings?
I greatly enjoy helping Brides create their magical dream wedding, but for this to happen, we have to be a good fit for one another to make sure you receive the day that you deserve.
If you are a chronic skeptic about the value of a wedding planner or you are negative about the entire aspect of planning a wedding, then we will probably not be a good match. If you fall into one of these categories, that is ok, but I first need you to think about why it is that you fall into one of these categories and if you would really benefit from the services of a Planner.
Are you going to completely take over my wedding?
Absolutely not. This is your big day. Not your Mother’s, your sister’s, your brother’s, or your friend’s wedding and certainly not mine. I will listen to what is it that you want and how you want your day to be. Your wedding should be a reflection of you, not someone else. I will help you to plan as little or as much of your day as you would like.
Do I have to use the vendors that you work with?
No. If you have vendors that you would like to work with, we will work with them to make sure that you have the most fabulous day that you have dreamed.
What methods of payment do you take and do I have to pay for your services all at once?
Payments can be made by cash, personal or business checks and credit cards. We have convenient payment plans so that you may pay for your services in installments if you so choose.
