Helena Wirth Cakes

If you are searching for a wedding cake you have to get your cake from Helena Wirth cakes. The owner is the sweetest man and you tell him what you want in the budget you have and he will get it done!! My cake was BEAUTIFUL and best of all it taste amazing. I honestly had people go back and get seconds, which never happens with wedding cakes. The best flavors are the Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting and the chocolate with chococlate. I highly suggest Helena Wirth!!!

Bob and I had different ideas of what our cake should be, but this shop brought us together on one design. We chose the chocolate cake with the chocolate mousse filling and it was absolutely delicious. The design came out just the way we wanted. We made some changes to the design from the sample book and it turned out perfect! The shop is a little off putting. It could use some sprucing up. Not what I expected. If I hadn't found the photo of the cake I liked, I probably would have gone elsewhere. The staff member that helped us didn't speak English well and we had a little communication problem, but not bad. All the cake samples were good, but the chocolate was Great! Very happy with Helena Wirth Cakes.

Our wedding cake were simply perfection. Touches that they have added upon our request were great to make this our special wedding cake. We love it...

Helena Wirth has so much selections of cakes. The cake tasting was excellect, we had a really good time and all were so delicious. We had a slight difficult time in making the decision all the variety were so good.

I was so excited to try Helen Wirth. I filled out the online request form and indicated that we were interested in cupcakes and a small cake to cut. When I called to schedule an appt, I made it clear that we were interested in cupcakes.

We arrived (after an hour in LA traffic) at the bakery. We were then brought out 6 samples of cake, not cupcakes. The woman at HW was very apologetic and was not aware this tasting was for cupcakes. She brought me out one cupcakes that they had prepared for an event that was covered in fondant and did not look appealing. She suggested that I wasn't clear in my request for tasting.

While the design of the wedding cakes we saw were beautiful and artistic, the cakes we tasted were not very good.

Of course, as brides and women with careers, any time we take to work on our wedding is precious time. This "tasting" certainly let me down and I would not trust this company with getting any order correct if they had difficulty organizing a tasting.

This was the BEST tasting cake I've EVER had. Helena Wirth went the extra mile and added charms to the cake to fit our victorian wedding theme.

The cake here are so delicious, and fabulous looking.
I were able to find a similar and better choice than I had originally had in mind. Make sure you save your stomach for the cake tasting...

Helena Wirth was the vendor recommended to us by our reception place, The Odyssey. My sister, my fiance and I showed up for the cake tasting and the lady there, Marivic, served us 7 different cakes to taste. Wow! They were all yummy and moist. We tried strawberry champagne, mint chocolate, tiramisu, white cake with strawberry frosting, chocolate mousse and pudding cake, and I forgot the rest. We paid a little more because we chose the chocolate mousse cake which was not included in the Odyssey package. We had to pay an additional $170 which I think is NOT bad at all! The cake is 4 tiers and it will be raised so the florist can decorate it with flowers. :) I would recommend this vendor!

The cakes were very good. They were the first bakery we looked into. At first we were very happy and very sure we were going to get a cake from them. But then, we went to 3 more cake tastings, and realized that they were double the price of the other 3 places. We were quoted in the $700's for a cake for 125 and then a sheet cake for 50 more. The other 3 places were between $350 and $400....for a cake for 150 people. So, we went with another vendor, whos cakes tasted just as good.

We went for our cake tasting with Rosie at Helena Wirths, she was very helpful and had lots of pictures for us to look at. However, I already had my dream cake in mind. When I showed her the picture of what I wanted she assured me it would be done. We tasted the four flavors of cake, and loved them all! Thus, we're having a different flavor of each tier! I also liked their cake so much, I ordered a cake for a bridal shower from them & it was perfect. So far my experience has been nothing but pleasant, and I very much look forward to our wedding cake. I highly Helena Wirth made the cake for our March 24th wedding. We met with them on three different occasions. The first was for our cake tasting at which time we decided to book them. They seemed to get the vision I was trying to portray and agreed to making a cake like the picture I brought in for them. Not to mention the cake was delicious!

The second meeting was when we went in to pay our balance with them. This time the woman we initially met with was no longer with the company. The new gentleman seemed a bit unsure of some of the details, such as delivery time & coloring of the frosting. This concerned me, but he reassured me that they had everything on record and that it would be fine.
I decided to stop in the bakery the morning before the wedding to see the frosting color. It was exactly as I had requested and I felt satisfied.

On the morning of my wedding I received a call from my boss at work. He said that he had just received a call from Helena Wirth asking for the address to deliver the cake. Apparently they did not know which number to call and thought they'd give the work # I'd listed a try. Very un-professional.

This infuriated me. I had gone over the details with them before and felt that it was their responsibility to have all their information prepared before the day of the wedding!

When I called them at 11:00AM to give them the Address AND directions to the location I then asked when they would be delivering the cake. He said they were on their way. This upset me further since they were made aware that no vendors would be allowed on the premises before 2:00, and I'd asked them to deliver the cake at 3PM.

My coordinator informed me that they still showed up early and had to wait outside the gates for our location to open.

When I saw the cake however, all my frustration towards them was demolished. This was the most beautiful cake I'd ever seen. It was exactly what I wanted, I couldn't find a single error if I'd tried. It tasted just as amazing as I'd remembered and our guests raved about it. It was actually one of my favorite elements to our wedding.

So a B+ suits them well.

I recommend Helena Wirth Bakery with the suggestion that you triple check your information with them! recommend them.

The people at Helena Wirth are great and they have some beautiful cakes. Depending on what you're looking for, if you have a smaller budget they are the best for the money. But I wouldn't expect an all out wedding mag quality cake.

Let me say YUM! I was referred to Helena Wirth cakes and i wasn't so sure when i arrived at the tiny cake shop in the valley that i would use them. But i was so impressed with how nice the service was and how easy they made picking out a cake. They know what they are doing. The cake turned out so much better then i expected and it was so good that we took cake with us on our honeymoon. I loved the cake so much that when we renewed our vows 5 years later i went back and they made us a little cake that matched our original wedding cake. The cakes are not cheap, but they are not overly expensive either. Don't let the little shop fool you out of getting a great tasting cake. I will be going back when we renew our vows again...only this time i'm getting a bigger cake!

The cake was breathtaking - more beautiful than I ever would have hoped for, and the flavor was scrumptious. I know that multiple guests took three servings! Which I couldn’t believe after all of the food provided by Monrose, but it was really really really good. Definitely the BEST wedding cake I have ever had, and even better than it was at the trial. Plus, there was plenty, and her prices were really reasonable. The best part: a prestigious and much more expensive cake baker in the area shared with us her honest opinions of local bakeries and Helena was the ONLY other one she would endorse with regard to the quality and flavor of her cakes. She did a lovely job on ours and I could not have been happier.

Love, love loved our cake. It was beautiful and delicious. This is a small shop in the valley that our wedding venue recommended and it was excellent. Also inexpensive. Our cake was around $500 and everyone loved it. I've been to MANY weddings with terrible cake, so I was really excited about ours.

I can't even begin to tell you how beautifully "grand" our piano birthday cake was that you made for Les' birthday. The restaurant had never seen such extraordinary work and our guests said the taste was one of the best they have ever had. As always, you outdid yourself again! With much appreciation.

We can't tell you how many people commented on how good this cake was. It was a three tier cake. It was three different kinds of cake to be exact. First bottom layer was white, second was a chocolate and the top was red velvet. It was delicious. We will be returning to get custom and regular cakes here for years. We recommend this dynamic due to anyone who wants a cake that looks fantastic and tastes out of this world. Thanks guys -- you made my wedding perfect!

The cake was perfect! Beautifully decorated and so delicious. When the cake was delivered, Sarah, our bride was so pleased. She almost bursts into tears -- she couldn't believe it looked just like the photo she had given me to show you. Everyone raved about how flavorful & moist the cake tasted -- not one piece left over!
