Sybil and her associates were absolutely wonderful. We received many compliments on the ceremony music they provided.

I hired a string quartet to play before, during and after my wedding ceremony and they were fantastic! At my request, they even arranged some string quartet versions of modern tunes for me, Like Lady Gaga. My guests all commented on how original and enjoyable the music was. I would recommend them to any bride-to-be.

Herceg-Shanahan Music provides high quality live performance at weddings and events. We feature a wide variety of music - from traditional classics to modern hits. We service Southern and Central Ontario, but are based in Toronto and do many performances in the Kawartha region. We can provide strings; solo cello, violin/cello duo, string trio or quartet, solo piano or piano/cello duo.

We are a small, family-run business. With us, you deal directly with the musician(s) who will be performing for you – not an agent or secretary. Our internationally recognized professional credentials and over 20 years of experience in the music industry make Herceg-Shanahan Music a sure choice for getting the results you want.

What ceremony music arrangements can you provide?

Instrumental - Duo, Instrumental - Solo, Instrumental - Trio, String - Quartet, String - Quintet, String - Trio

What instruments does your group play?

Cello, Piano, Viola, Violin

What is your usual attire?

Usually semi-formal all black clothing, or black and white.

Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?

How much time do you usually need for setup?

We typically arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the beginning of the performance. Set-up is minimal.

How much space do you usually require?

Sit on a chair and stretch your arms out. If each performer has an arms-length of space in front and beside them, that is sufficient.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

For car access only destinations outside of central Peterborough or Toronto, yes, travel expenses may apply. They are typically in the 0.50/km range.
