It was great. Staff was really helpful and knowledgeable! Loved it.
Heritage was great to work with, they helped us with planning when needed and were very easy to communicate with. The most helpful was on the actual night of the wedding, the girl who was there to help us was great. She helped us set up, kept everyone refreshed with drinks and helped guide the night. Aside from the people the building is also gorgeous.
The catering was delicious. Even though we didn't get a chance to eat during the ceremony they packed us some food to take with us that night. The food was less expensive per person than other caterers we had looked...
Great food, very professional and helpful. Worked with us to get what we wanted at a price that was good too.
Heritage Gardens is a beautiful venue with very helpful and friendly staff. They have several different packages which include the venue rental, food, cake, flowers, invitations, coordinator, guest book, garter, bubble machine send-off, ring bearer pillow, and some other things (they help you clean your car after your friends write dirty things and cover it in oreos, for example). You also get to keep all the leftover food. If you're on a tight budget, they are definitely worth looking into. They are very flexible and accommodating, the quality of service is great, the food is delicious, and the coordinator is very helpful.
They had the food all hot and ready when we got out of the ceremony, so my guests were able to start in while we took pictures with the bridal party. We got a couple hor dourves, the mini loaded baked potatoes, and the Thai spring rolls. SOOO good! Especially the spring rolls! Then we got a mixture of turkey, ham, and roast beef sandwiches, which everyone really loved! There was also a fresh spring salad. We also did the cake through them; we got lime cake with pineapple filling. I've never really liked cake, but THAT cake. .. WOW! So moist and just packed with delicious flavor! It was so good and my guests loved the unique flavor! I did the Bow Tie Buffet, which was really affordable because I transferred credits around in the daytime Garden Package which I used, and was able to use the money from flowers and invitations to upgrade to this buffet.
Herritage was an amazing place to get married! It turned out wonderful and the wedding coordinator was amazing.(i really wish i could remember her name she was cute blonde girl) She helped so much and was absolutely wonderful. The food was great and there were no issues before or during the entire event. They were very flexable with the other vendors I had coming in and were great about letting us come early to set up. The only thing is we did make sure we had the venue until midnight to make sure we werent rushed out of there and the catering staff at the end did ask us to call our decorator to come and clean up before midnight cause they were not staying. We also asked for a plate of food for us to go as we were not going home. They just packed everything up and sent it with our bridal party. The only person who gave us anything was the girl our wedding coordinator helped get us a bag together. If it wasnt for her we would have starved and even then all we got was cake. I was very taken back that they were so rushed to have us out. When it wasnt even midnight yet , i did mention this to the gentleman we had the building until 12 and he replied " well i am not staying to wait" It was a little frusturating because i had planned for that. It was about 11:15 at this point. Other than that it was great. The entire process was good. Kent was the first person we met with and he was so nice and helpful also. to food was great. The coordinator was great. They moved things around very effortless. i didnt even notice. So overall i would recommend them .
My husband and I had the best experience at Heritage Gardens! It was definitely a little pricey but we both felt that for what we got it was completely worth it! We had our ceremony and reception there and both were decorated so elegantly and beautifully we were absolutely pleased. They worked with us on everything to make sure that we were as prepared as we could be for our wedding day and then the best part was the day of the wedding they worked out all of the little kinks that came up throughout the day to create a smooth and seamless celebration. When you are a bride you can appreciate how nice it is for someone to handle the little snags that come up and keep telling you all the while how beautiful you look. They did the catering as well and the food was so delicious I thought the proportions were great and everything tasted so good! Most of our guests went back for 2nds. Also super bonus after our wonderful and hectic wedding day when we were leaving Jackie our wedding coordinator from Heritage Gardens handed us a care package bag which had 2 of everything that they had served that night which was sooo nice because you really are so busy you don't get to try everything they bring out to your guests. Also they had a bubble machine blowing as we left. There were so many other little things they did I wish I could remember but seriously go check it out!
We used Lori Bult their florist who was incredible you can get her information from their website but she was great to work with and was extremely affordable I thought for everything we got from her our flowers should be posted online in our pictures at the website I have listed below for our photographer (she was also willing to work with us to have things like gorgeous centerpieces for around $20 a table so check her out for sure)! She is the preferred florist to work with for Heritage Gardens in case her number isn't listed on the website you can reach her at (801) 424-0755.
I also had Cindy Crump do my cake who was their preferred cake vendor whom I was also recommended to by a friend. She makes such delicious cakes and they are so beautiful. She did a 3 tiered cake for me with fondant for just over $300, you can't beat that! Also, I have to say I recently have tried other wedding cake with fondant frosting and the cake Cindy made for us was soooo much better it was absolutely delicious I had rave reviews from many of my guests. Cindy's information is also available from the Heritage Gardens website but if you need her direct line it is (801) 694-4376.
Heritage Gardens also gave me a list of preferred DJ's and the one we used who I would definitely recommend is DJ Braden Call. He was extremely personable and was able to get our guests up and moving and dancing which was all I really wanted out of my wedding day, he isn't listed on here as a vendor so I will give you his number directly and his email it is (801) 651-1293 or firstname.lastname@example.org. I am not sure if we just got a killer deal or if this is always the price he offers but he set up before our ceremony before 4:00 and was there until everybody left after 10:00 for a one time fee of $350.00. He also didn't charge a fee for a planning session and welcomed any input I had or requests our guests had. If you use him you won't be dissapointed!
Finally our photographer was so awesome! Her name is Rebecca Mabey and she was a local photographer who was so amazing I don't know that she will be able to offer the kind of low pricing she is right now for very long because she is sooo good! I will attach her website where you can look at her work. I definitely recommend reaching out to her to see what packages she is offering because we got a killer deal on such a professional and easy to work with photographer. My husband and I have blended and divorced families and she was so great to work with everyone and get all the pictures we wanted despite the awkward circumstances that could have occurred. She also did amazing invitations for us that were cheaper than anywhere else I looked and so creative and beautiful. I would definitely recommend her whole heartedly. Her website is http://www.effervescentmediaworks.com/Photography.html
For officiants- There are some awesome officiants out there and granted I don't know and didn't research many of them but the ones that I had the pleasure of working with were both Judge Oddone (801) 238-7753 and Judge Balmforth (801) 254-6381. My husband and I were originally going to use Judge Oddone who spent time to get know things about my fiance' and me and scheduled a time for me to call him to check in before the wedding. We unfortunately couldn't use him because of a scheduling error on my part so I called Judge Balmforth frantically and he calmly scheduled my wedding and showed up (this is 4 days before the actual wedding!) and he performed the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony I don't think it could have gone any better had Judge Oddone performed it. Both these Judges were recommended by Heritage Gardens as well.
I know that I have given all of my vendors amazing reviews but it is because I have truly had an awesome experience with all of them and I know how stressfull planning a wedding is. I planned my wedding for 11 months so I had a lot more time to research than most Utah brides do but I was so happy with everything that I got that I want to give you knowledge of the fruits of my labor. Also something to keep in mind is that Heritage Gardens recommended 4 out of the 5 of these vendors and I was so glad I used them because Heritage Gardens has been in the wedding business for over 20 years so they know what they are doing and they only are recommending the best in my opinion. I will also post a youtube video of my wedding there. It's actually a thriller dance my husband surprised me with but you can still see the atmosphere from the DJ, all the decorations and my photographer Rebecca Mabey taking pic's in the background.
If you have any questions or want more details about my experience feel free to email me at email@example.com .
My husband is in the military and we went to so many places after we got engaged, finally my dad took us to Heritage Gardens and the second we walked in we decided it was the perfect place. Everyone there was so helpful and nice, they are no doubt a little pricy but to be helped so much the day of my wedding it was worth it. They gave me a pager the day of the wedding while I was getting ready in case we needed anything and after the ceremony had us hold onto it for the rest of the night just in case. They did a quick rehearsal the day of because my husband lives out of state it was so organized. They were really good with our ring bearer and flower girl to! When it was time for the ceremony they had a girl let each of my bridesmaids know when it was time to start walking and kept everything running smooth. Our DJ didn't show up at the right time so they had back up music for us to use for the ceremony. The wedding day was perfect and the food was amazing, they had great portions and everything tasted great. We have big families so it was nice not have to worry about running out of food. At the end of the night we went to leave and they had packed us food, which was nice because we didn't get much time to eat and they saved us cake to. I loved everything about my wedding day and they were so amazing I would completely recommend to anyone and everyone.
We used their florist which they can give you the number if you call, my flowers were beautiful and perfect. I had changed my colors 2 months before the wedding and she was so nice when I changed my mind. We had her put extra ones through the aisles on the pews and they looked great.
My photographer was Melissa Papaj, you can visit her site at melissapapajphotography.com (She is amazing!)
I loved this vendor!! they were amazing!! From the resershal dinner to the acutall wedding was amazing! I've had alot of friends get married here and on getting married in march of 2010.. I highly recommend it!
There was hardly any food on a plate for the cost! I was shocked at how small the "main dish" part of the food was! The food itself was very good and they were careful to have a back-up plan if we were to run short on food. We wanted to be informed on ways we could test the food before we ordered it to see if it was something we liked, and it was very difficult to get them to communicate with us on when we could come in to try a taste of the food. We ended up having to just go with them and hope for the best. I was disappointed with the serving sizes and the cost of the food, but the taste of the food was fantastic.

Our portion "size" is listed on all our menus, so there should never be a surprise!
For our Tastings... we have always offered an open house Taste Testing at no charge to all our clients every other month. If that time doesn't work for you we are happy to do a private tasting... if you want that at no charge we simply ask you are flexible and let us schedule it at a time we are preparing the same entree. OR... we are happy do schedule a tasting at anytime for any menu item for a small fee.
The reception center was beautiful and there was plenty of room for all the guests. I would highly recommend this location for anyone! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. There were two flat screen TV available to show wedding video, one in the main area and one in the dining area for everyone to see. It is an elegant place and bridal and groom rooms were very open and large mirrors were very useful in the bridal room. The gardens are beautiful, and inside was decorated and looked amazing!
I had my wedding at Heritage gardens. It was well worth what we paid for. The staff were all there during our wedding reception to help with anything we needed.. fix my dress, arrange flowers, clean up food plates etc... It was a lovely place, the pictures came out awesome!
They did the catering for my wedding, and it was so yummy! They were great to work with. Not one single compaint on the food from anyone. If you use this company, you will not be sorry!
I am so happy we decided to have our wedding at Heritage Gardens. I have been to, and have helped with many 'back yard' type weddings, and its so much work!! I didnt have to do one thing, except show up, and have them tell me what to do next. They planned everything for me. I chose my invitations, food, flowers and cake, and it was all there ready for me, and I didnt have to worry about anything. I highly recommend Heritage Gardens to anyone who wants a worry free wedding.!!!!!!!!!!
The flowers were not handled well at all but everything else went very well. They were extremely helpful and professional. They did a beautiful job.
