Hope Chapel

We reserved the gated part of Heritage Gardens in Shelby Twp. for pictures. It was $25 for an hour (we used a friend who lived in Utica - its more if you aren't a Utica or Shelby resident). It was pretty, cool for an August day (shaded), and semi-private. There are lots of other areas there that are free, but if you reserved the gated part, its all yours. I called the week prior to verify they still had our reservation - they did, and we had no problems.

We chose Hope Chapel because it was everything we were looking for. It's a simple, yet elegant, white chaple with natural wood interior in neutral colors. We were able to bring our own officient, which was one of our requirements in a ceremony location and also required by Hope Chapel. There was room for the bridal party to get ready and the Attendant was VERY helpful, both during the rehearsal and on the wedding day. There is plenty of parking, it's handicap accessible. There are also 2 rest rooms. The Shelby Twp parks and rec department was very flexible and even made an exception for us to book over Thanksgiving weekend, when they had been scheduled to be closed. We were thrilled with our experience and would recommend Hope Chapel to anyone looking for a quaint chapel in the area.
