The establishment and space are beautiful. Maria and her staff go above and beyond to make the day flow perfectly and are there throughout the event to ensure satisfaction. I did have a couple of times I drove there (which is a 45 minute drive across town for me) for a meeting and the coordinator wasn't there both of which were oversights on her behalf. But it was a magical day and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The rooms are very cozy and the honeymoon suite was glittered in rose petals on our wedding night. It was perfect and I highly recommend Hidden Oaks if you are looking for an outdoor venue.

My wife fell in love with the house and property the first time she saw it. Everything worked out great and we had a wonderful wedding despite the warm weater in October. Working with Maria and Sharlene to plan out the reception details was fun and not a chore, even with our 250+ guests. Spending the night in the coach house was great! They even decorated the bed and room with rose petals. Breakfast the next morning was dlish. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding.

I really enjoyed Hidden Oaks. They were very willing to work with us on what we wanted for our special day. Our wedding was Saturday evening, so we rented the B&B for the weekend... and I would suggest that 100%. One downfall was that our actual coordinator went out of town on our weekend, but she left her daughter there to assist us. Her daughter did a pretty good job. Another downfall was that we arranged to have valet parking, but the guy never showed up to do that. Hidden Oaks refunded our money for the valet and for a few other wedding mishaps. All in all, I was very happy with our experience.
Also, they provided the food... which was really yummy. We went with a Mediterranean theme with pasta salad, fresh fruit, hummus and other stuff. The selling point for the food was the potato bar. They had whipped potatoes in martini glasses with all the toppings. I am sucker for potatoes... so that was my selling point.

charming plantation-style house was a romantic wedding.
About Hidden Oaks
Hidden Oaks is a large plantation style home set on 1-1/2 acres in the city of Houston, built in 1927 by Samuel Ezekiel and Bessie Allen. Samuel was the great grandson of Ezekiel Thomas who came to Texas from South Carolina in 1822. Ezekiel was a member of the "Old Three Hundred", the first 300 families to receive title to property in Texas from Stephen F. Austin. These families were viewed as historic elite. Allen's parents, Samuel Ezekiel Allen and Rosa Christie Lum, were among the most prominent Texas ranchers at the turn of the century. Their cattle ranch expanded to a 13,000 acre operation. Our property was part of that ranch.
Hidden Oaks offers you the opportunity to experience the old southern atmosphere within a modern bustling city.
