This place was above and beyond my expectations. My husband and I wanted to go someplace nice and quiet for our honeymoon. A couple of our friends recommended The Hillcrest Guesthouse. We constantly heard and read glowing reviews about this place and the owner. So when it was time to pick a destination for our honeymoon we already knew where we wanted to go. I was more than surprised on what was offered in our package! Most places the second you mention honeymoon they add an extra $100-$200 to the original price, the guesthouse prices were exactly the same! This even included a special menu of complimentary food that the owner (Phyllis) puts in the room herself for you to enjoy upon your arrival. All I can say is wow the room was beautiful, the owner was so friendly and informative. My husband and I decided that we will make this place part of our anniversary ritual (even when we have children). I'm so excited for next year's trip, I've already sent her my deposit. This place is really the hidden gem on St. John.

Fifteen Years ago I stayed at Hillcrest Guest House. Just a quick vacation over from the hustle and bustle of St. Thomas. Even back then it was already an exquisite, calm and relaxing place to stay. The views of Cruz Bay were exceptional and we loved that we could just walk to town and have dinner, shop and mingle with all of Cruz Bay.
This is a sweet piece of paradise.
