We just got married on 04/08/12 & I was so extremely happy that we got married at Hillside Gardens & Nursery. We had so much fun doing pictures with our wedding party on the 4 acres. The cottage were the bride & bridemaids get ready was perfect for us, and my groom never saw me before the wedding! Teri planted flowers in all the pots right before the wedding and everything was nice and green. We were so pleased with our over all experiance with Hillside Garden!

I loved this location and it really is an amazing place to get married. I was disappointed by the lack of responsiveness. It was difficult to get a hold of people. They also were very strict on timelines. Which I can understand in certain circumstances. My wedding planner and florist had to wait outside the venue to set up decorations until our designated time. Even though there was no wedding before ours. If you take it for what it is, "an amazing view" then you will be happy. I only had my ceremony here and am really glad that I did not plan my reception here.

The location is beautiful! They also did the flowers for the wedding and did their best to accommodate all of my requests. We had several changes in the planning process and they were very flexible and understanding. Beautiful beautiful venue!

We loved this site. As others have noted it is a beautiful location. We had an early spring wedding yet it was very green with lots of flowers compared to any other place. They were receptive to our needs and when we asked for a mic stand they went out and bought one. There were several excellent places for photos after the ceremony. One downside is that the path is unpaved which can dirty the bottom hem of the bride's dress if you are not careful. We weren't worried about it and it was not a problem despite light rain before the ceremony. There is a pavilion adjacent to the outdoor site that can be used for the reception or serve as a rain alternative for the ceremony. We only had the ceremony there and everyone at the wedding loved it. My wife cried when she first walked into the garden and saw where we would get married. Perfect.

Hillside Gardens is a stunning facility and made for beautiful photos for our ceremony. The service there is a little disorganized...We were never contacted for a 60 day appointment and ended up scrambling to try and figure everything out via phone and email. We only had our ceremony there, and had the afternoon slot, which was from 2pm to 4pm. It was a bit difficult to organize photos with such a small amount of time, but we managed. However, the facility is beautiful and unique and we received several compliments. A lot of people who have lived in Colorado Springs a long time have never seen or heard of Hillside Gardens, and I think it was a pleasant surprise for many of our guests.

My husband and I used Hillside Gardens as our wedding site (though we had our reception elsewhere). The grounds are beautiful and will make for a fantastic backdrop to your wedding photos. I would have preferred to have them be a little more hands-on with helping direct us when we arrived at the ceremony site. But overall, we had no problems, everything ran very smoothly on the day, and the staff was very helpful with planning.

They have rules, and as long as you follow them it is no big deal. We had a day of coordinator, so the rules did not really affect us. The views were beautiful at night, and our guests loved it. It was different than a normal outside wedding venue. It is like having an outside art venue right there too! It was perfect for us.

The location was beautiful, all of the guests raved about the mountain scenery! If you are willing to do a little of the work yourself this location is awesome. The wedding coordinator is sometimes hard to get a hold of; but overal they were very helpful, flexable and responsive.

This Garden is absolutely beautiful! We were very excited to have our wedding here. It is great for a larger wedding and has a covered pavilion. We were able to go to the garden during business hours whenever we needed to plan our wedding. We had some trouble contacted people with questions but they got a new wedding coordinator closer to our wedding and that changed. They were very professional and answered all our questions. They were very flexible to our needs. This venue does not come with any extra services such as set up and take down so keep in mind someone else will need to do this. They are usually booked with weddings so our rehearsal was only 45 minutes long which was a little short for us. The cost included bar tenders which was awesome. They were great. We really enjoyed having our wedding here and would recommend this to anyone looking for beautiful outdoor venue at a low cost. The web page for the gardens do not do it justice, I recommend searching for wedding pictures at the Hillside Gardens on the internet to get a better view of the beauty of this place.

I chose Hillside Gardens because I loved the rose garden where the wedding would take place, and because I wanted to have an outside wedding. The wedding grounds are beautiful, but the rest of the garden has some rather strange art that is only partially hidden when the trees are in bloom (including a rather large metal spider to welcome guests at the front gate). Like I said, though, the wedding site itself is beautiful, and made me forgive the other quirks :). The pricing is a bit high - especially considering that set-up and tear-down of tables and chairs is not included, and that I have to provide EVERYTHING else - linens, place settings, caterer, tables and chairs for guests above the 150 mark (Hillside says it accomodates up to 250, but only has tables and chairs for 150), and all decorations. I did opt to reserve two time slots (afternoon for $800 and evening for $1930), because the evening slot would have made the reception a bit short, which added a good chunk more to the cost. In the end, I think I am going to have a beautiful wedding, but I wish I could have paid less for the site - I almost could have done it at the Briarhurst for this price.

Hillside Gardens was an amazing venue! I love that the ceremony site and pavilion for reception are so close. The ceremony site is very beautiful with cute benches and a wonderful view of Pikes Peak. My out-of-town guests loved it! It is also a great site for wedding pictures. There are beautiful flowers and a more funky area with vintage items.

Hillside's is BEAUTIFUL. The gardens, the pavillion, and the view is amazing. However, the owner of this business was terrible to work with and rude to my family during set up. After it is all said and done, I would book again there just because the atmosphere was so unbelievably beautiful.

It was the perfect place to have a wedding. Beautiful! They were a bit difficult to get on the phone and to meet with, but it was worth it. The ceremony and reception can all happen right in the gardens and the pavillion was perfect for the reception.

The location site was one of the best in Colorado Springs! I loved getting ready in the Bridal cottage, and the view of the mountains was exceptional! The owner of Hillside was nice to work with, although I wish he had an assistant that would help him plan the wedding-which is why I got a wedding coordinator. Larry was flexible to work with and helped our wedding come true!

We held the ceremony here and they provided all the flowers for decorations and bouquets...they were wonderful!! Very easy to work with and I reccommend this venue highly!
