My husband and I were married on June 10, 2007 We selected Kurt Hilmerson Photography as our wedding photographer based upon the outstanding work he showed us in our first meeting.
A little over nine months after being married, we received our large wedding album. As part of our package we were supposed to get a DVD slide show, all of the high res images from our photo album, and all of the images from our wedding day. It is now 16 months after our wedding date and we have not see it.
For the past 9 months I've tried contacting Kurt by telephone, email, and over his website (www.hilmersonphotography.com) numerous times to no avail. He will not respond to emails and he's avoiding my telephone calls and will not return voice mails.
All I want is what Kurt and I have contractually agreed to. I have paid him in full and he has literally not given me my money's worth or what I deserve.
If you are thinking about using Kurt Hilmerson, as your wedding photographer, I would seriously think twice about it. Once he gets your money from you, he doesn't follow through with customer service as any professional should.
I too wish I could recommend him, but he has given me so much headache and heartache. I could not in good faith recommend him to anyone.
I was thrilled with Kurt before and during the wedding, but found him incredibly difficult to deal with afterward. He kept promising to send things (DVDs, album drafts, pricing for large prints, etc.) and then disappearing for weeks or even months. My husband and I have resigned ourselves to putting together the album on our own, since Kurt won't return our phone calls or e-mails. He's a nice guy and I wish I could recommend him, but there's no way I would ever hire him if I had it to do over.
