I absolutely loved the end result of my wedding at the Hilton - but my one word of caution to any bride, regardless of where you book and who your vendors are, is to take notes and keep all conversations/transactions made between you and your vendors. I booked my reception venue 17 months prior to my wedding and during that time I worked with 3 wedding planners and two "interim wedding planners". The various wedding planners had to leave for personal and business reasons, which I understand, but at no point in the entire process was I contacted by one of them and told "I'll be leaving my position and ___ will be taking over" or "I've taken over for ___ because she has changed positions", etc. I found out about each change because phone calls weren't returned or I happened to send an email and then was told in my response of the change. Because I am a meticulous bride, I had copies of everything, so nothing was lost in the shuffle, but it did lead to some stressful times, especially because I was out of town in medical school planning my wedding.

That said - Aleiza (the final wedding planner) pulled together every element of my reception that I could have wanted. We had several personal touches, from old family wedding photos, to antique family heirloom flower vases and a slide show during the cocktail hour. She took care of everything and made me feel very at ease. I was married when hurricane Irene hit the east coast and changed lots of plans for my guests. She was able to help everyone get rooms changed and take care of all those little "unexpecteds".

I would book an event at the Hilton again in a heartbeat - but I'd make sure I was just as meticulous in keeping things - there's no way I could control how many people I worked with, but the end result was beautiful!
