Lindsay, and the staff at The Hilton, were a dream to work with the entire way from start to finish. The 5 star rating holds in every category. Even guests recognized what a pleasure they were to work with.

Lindsay Doughty-Darrimon and the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country were absolutely amazing to work with and ultimately our wedding weekend was astounding and special. As a destination wedding, Lindsay worked with us via telephone throughout the entire planning process to ensure everything from lodging to transportation to all of the weekend activities went smoothly and perfectly. Our wedding was absolutely spectacular; with the food and wine tasting amazing, and the entire setting an unforgettable venue.
Lindsay and the Hilton were so easy and fabulous to work with, and they provided the most fabulous wedding setting that far exceeded my dreams.

Lindsay at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country was very helpful and professional. She catered to our needs. The food was outstanding. Although, the food tasting was the hardest part because we enjoyed every single dish they made and wanted all of them, but everyone was beyond happy with the entrees and appetizers that we chose. The indoor/outdoor banquet room was perfetct for the guests that wanted to get some fresh air, but didn't want to leave the party. The six hours that we had for our reception (time that is included in the price) allowed our guests to relax and enjoy themselves without feeling rushed. The wait staff were very professional and made sure all the guests had what they needed.

I lived in Pennsylvania and I was able to plan my wedding and reception with my Husband who lived in Santa Rosa California, and Lindsey on line and over the phone. Lindsey and the staff were so helpful. The staff was there the day of our wedding till the end helping preparing and directing and setting up our special day. They were also very helpful in pricing and planning meals and ideas for our special day. They were very helpful in giving us names of different venders to choose from that were also perfect. It was the most beautiful and perfect wedding. We could not have ask for a more perfect place than the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country. Thank you Lindsey and thank you Hilton Sonoma Wine Country. Getting married at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country was the best wedding decision we made! It is well located in Sonoma and has very nice facilities. But, so do a lot of places. What really enables Hilton Sonoma Wine Country to soar above its competition is the staff and prices. They are awesome!! It was obvious that the staff wanted us to have a perfect wedding. They were responsive to everything we asked for and wanted. We were never told "no" once. We weren't just dollar signs to them. All the staff (from the chef, waiters, special event coordinators, front desk staff, to their managers) made us feel special and wanted to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. Lindsay, their wedding coordinator, was (in one word): AMAZING. She worked tirelessly and was highly accessible. We love what she did for us so much that she has become part of the amazing wedding memories and a life long friend!

I cannot say enough positive things about Lindsay! From our first meeting we knew we finally found the location and coordinator for our wedding. Lindsay delivered on everything that was important to us—listening to our requests and being open about the ability to meet them or not (which 99.9% of the time was a yes!), always responding to our questions and concerns immediately, making the logistics of our wedding reception flawless, and paying attention to so many details that even we didn’t think of when planning our wedding reception. Lindsay is a very professional and warm person to work with. She truly listens to what we envisioned as a couple and worked with us to make it happen. Her ability for flexibility and to come up with solutions that fit both us and the Hilton was extraordinary. She stands out from all of the other countless coordinators we met with because of her willingness to listen to what we envisioned and to work with us to make it happen. We found each and every interaction with her whether it was through email, phone, or in person, to be professional, inviting, and we always felt we were a top priority. We could give countless examples of her amazing ability to not only make things happen but to make sure things happened right. For example, she was always flexible in meeting with us at times that worked best for us whether it was a weekend in person or weekday via telephone conference. She always would respond with answers to our inquiries within 24 hours. She was always upfront about the costs and we knew exactly how much we would be spending for our wedding ceremony. She was always upbeat and excited with us in planning our wedding reception. We absolutely loved working with Lindsay as she let us create our vision for our wedding reception. We feel so lucky and so happy to have worked with Lindsay!
About Hilton Sonoma Wine Country
Set on a knoll above Santa Rosa, this hotel has the best view in town. The vista takes in the city’s landmark red Round Barn, as well as much of Santa Rosa to the south and the high hills that form its eastern limits. Although it’s a 250-room facility with several wings, the Hilton’s architecture successfully evokes a more intimate feeling. The low-key design of wooden buildings, spread out over a series of terraces and connected by staircases and arcades, creates a casual, resort-like ambiance.
Because the hotel is also centrally located in the Wine Country—only minutes away from Dry Creek’s famous zinfandels or the Russian River’s sparkling champagnes—it’s a great place for an extended stay with family and friends. Rooms have either king or double-queen beds and charming bay windows. When your guests aren’t off wine tasting or sightseeing, they’ll probably spend most of their time at the large swimming pool, surrounded by lawns and shade trees. (Also, the bar here is very sleek and sophisticated, and is often itself a destination for Santa Rosans out for a night on the town.)
As you would expect, the Hilton offers a variety of event spaces, including three ballrooms: the 3,000-square-foot Golden Gate; the 2,600-square-foot Nagasawa (which has a lobby); and the Sonoma, easily the most popular with its steeply sloping ceiling of dark knotty pine and adjoining terrace.
The terrace, sheltered under an elaborate trellis of crisscrossing fir beams, is available year-round thanks to outdoor heaters and windshields. A multitude of chairs and curtained couches encourages socializing, and the indoor/outdoor combination of terrace and ballroom creates an easy flow. Right next to the terrace is a lawn that can host a small wedding and looks out over the hotel’s sweeping city view. A second al fresco ceremony site is on a sloping lawn near the swimming pool.
The Hilton’s pricing is very competitive, so the high caliber of their food comes as a nice surprise. Couples who have their reception here are invariably impressed with the cuisine and the service, and give both excellent reviews. Some brides have reported that their guests raved about their dining experience for months after the wedding.
With 13 acres of redwood and eucalyptus-dotted grounds, the Hilton Sonoma has created an oasis-like setting. You and your guests will appreciate the refreshing feeling of being a bit above and away from it all, even in the midst of Wine Country’s biggest city.
