My reception was entertaining The pond is an extra feature for the reception.
Sean and I used their outdoor gazebo for our ceremony, which was $1000 to reserve (they set up and take down the chairs, and there are several electric outlets out there for your DJ or musicians, which is nice). I personally don't think it should have cost that much for the gazebo, especially since our florist handled most of the decorating, but oh well. All in all, I was very pleased with the location.
The Le Chameleon ballroom at the Hilton is positively gorgeous. We had a brunch buffet at a very reasonable cost. The Hilton servers were very prompt and professional--very friendly and courteous as well. I have no complaints about the reception at all--wonderfully done by the Hilton!
The only other issue we had with the wedding planning with the Hilton was that we had a little difficulty keeping in touch with our contact people. I recognize that the Hilton has a lot of venues to offer and a multitude of different parties and guests in there all the time, so it is somewhat understandable that responses might not be very quick. Overall, I can forgive this, but I would have preferred a faster response time to our various inquiries along the way.
In general, I would definitely recommend the Hilton for your wedding location. They certainly have a lot to offer. But I would also recommend to have a separate wedding coordinator to really make certain that all your details are put in order in the exact manner you would like them to be!
