The ladies at Hitched did a wonderful job. I was hesitant to start dress shopping because I wanted something very plain, and I am not a sample size. After I explained this to the ladies at Hitched, they did everything to make me comfortable. I was also put in the most secluded changing room, and although they steered me to try some dresses that I normally wouldn't have, they always respected my choices. When there were problems with the designers unplanned retirement during the dressmaking process they offered help and recourse without being asked. And they did everything with a smile. I love them.

These women are great. They make you feel like a valued customer and go the extra mile. Their dresses are lovely, and you're always treated special.

I went to three bridal salons in DC and ultimately got my gown from Hitched; they carried a variety of beautiful, classic gowns, but I was ultimately drawn to their selection of elegant yet fashion-forward stuff - Lela Rose, among others. I was also drawn to the fun and relaxed atmosphere, which had none of the pushiness or, alternately, standoffishness I experienced elsewhere. I worked with 4-5 ladies at Hitched and Hitched Maids over a period of several months, and to the person they were warm, un-pretentious, helpful, responsive, and wonderful to deal with. Lynette and Jas, who team up to do fittings, were particularly great. I'd recommend Hitched to anyone!

I recently bought my dress at Hitched, what a great boutique!! They have a huge selection of the better dresses and the staff is super friendly and helpful! They also have an onsite tailor which makes the fittings so much easier! I love, love, love my dress and can thank them for helping me find the perfect one!! :)

I bought my Judd Waddell wedding dress at Hitched with fewer than three months to go before my wedding. Hitched is a small shop but has a well-edited selection of gowns, generally at a higher price point (mine cost $5,000, including unlimited alterations and a rush fee, given my timeline). In my experience, the staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. They were great about appointment reminders and encouraging yet discerning when it came to fittings. Jasmine, their in-house seamstress, was a pro and made me feel very comfortable. My only complaint was that there was some puckering at the waistline of my dress, which had a band of beading. I think this was more of an inherent issue with the dress than the steaming and pressing done by Hitched, because the beading was sewn onto an organza overlay, which is a pretty delicate fabric. The organza overlay was also prone to wrinkling. I have no complaints about the service at Hitched; just know that it is a small-ish selection.

Hitched is the best salon in the area hands down. After reading reviews and visiting a few other places no other salon could compare. I found my perfect dress at Hitched, which also happens to be the only store in the area to carry Amy Kuschel gowns. Each girl at the store was extremely helpful and friendly, yet never overly so. Everything went smoothly from trying on gowns, to debating my selection, to purchasing, and fittings. They were also flexible and worked with my schedule. I highly recommend the accessories night - made finding my accessories a breeze. All and all if it's within your budget, I'd highly recommend Hitched!

Hitched deserves 5 stars across the board! They were very easy to work with and provided top notch service. This was actually the first store I looked at and I immediately fell in love with the third dress I tried, and they brought in many to try. I couldn't believe that it would be that easy...so I ended up looking at several other places....but hands down, Hitched had the best selection and they were very patient with me as I went back 2-3 times to try it on before signing on the dotted line;) Everything went like clockwork and I had my dream dress on my wedding day.....

I chose Hitched to purchase my wedding gown--a beautiful Ulla Maija lace column dress. I was lucky to get it at a trunk show and it was really special being able to meet the designer.

I dealt with a number of women over the months--Carin, Annie, Lynette--and all were extremely pleasant and helpful. The dress was couture and made specifically to fit my measurements. Still, there were some small alterations to make and it needed hemming once I found my shoes. The seamstress was brilliant. She sewed in cups that made me feel very supported, and made numerous tiny tweaks that resulted in a flawless fit.

I also purchased my invitations from Hitched. I was super late in deciding on invites, but found something just perfect and I ended up carrying the invitation design through to menu and drink cards. They were inexpensive and were able to be rushed without too much extra cost.

At every turn, Hitched was friendly, professional, and accommodating, and made me feel like the only bride in the world. I highly recommend them!

Hitched Salon absolutely deserves its five star reviews. After visiting many different well known boutiques in our area, I was worried not to be able to find the dress I was looking. I was nervous to say YES to the dress! I had a very specific look I wanted for my dress, modern and yet not too girly. However, I couldn’t make up my mind for a longest time.

From the moment I walked in this boutique, I knew it was where I would get my dress. It was very modern, chic and very clean. I loved the display and the selections it offered. I spotted my dress immediately. It was the one I must have! To sum up, I had an amazing experience at Hitched, Jasmine and Lynette were fabulous! Jas, the seamstress, was absolutely joyful to work with at my fittings. I received tons of compliments on the dress. The best part of it was that they made it all so easy and stress free!

I would highly recommend this establishment to other brides. Hitched girls helped to make our wedding day a dream come true.

I bought both my gown and my bridesmaids dresses at Hitched during a trunk show. They had a great selection and were super friendly and great to work with. I went to one other bridal shop in the area and the customer service was not nearly what it was at Hitched. At Hitched, you get personalized attention and all of the staff members are very friendly and organized. I highly recommend visiting this shop for both wedding gowns as well as bridesmaid dresses. They also have a nice selection of accessories.

I love this bridal boutique and I love everyone that works here. What an amazing store. I purchased by beautiful Anne Barge dress here for my wedding on April 30, 2011. Prior to my wedding, one of my best friends bought her dress here for her May 15, 2010 wedding. After seeing the experience she had and the attentiveness of the staff during her fittings, there was no other option for me.

The women of Hitched had a gift for matching the girl to the dress. They know what works on every body type and they would only recommend something that looks sensational. They treat each customer like a priority and give special attention to the friends and family that attend fittings with the bride. It can be a stressful experience to buy a wedding dress, but not with the staff at Hitched. I will recommend Hitched to all future brides and bridesmaids. It was the easiest part of planning my wedding!

My bridesmaids and I selected the bridesmaid dress here, and we bought them here as well. All of our experiences here went well, we had no problems whatsoever. They were friendly, professional, attentive, and answered all our questions. The bridesmaids also loved their dresses!

I went to several different bridal salons during my dress search, and none compared to Hitched! The little shop is so cozy and welcoming, and the girls working there couldn't be nicer. I went for my appointment with my mom and one of my bridesmaids on a snowy Saturday last January, and despite the bustling shop, we never felt crowded or rushed. Lisa was so sweet and made us feel like she had all the time in the world for us. She offered the perfect balance of compliments and honesty, wasn't afraid to share her opinion or validate mine, and never pushed or made me feel like she was trying to close a sale. It was thanks to her expert eye that I ended up with my perfect wedding gown--one that was totally different from what I had pictured, but absolutely perfect for me! It was actually the very first dress she pointed out to me, and when I put it on I got that bride-y feeling I had only experienced vicariously during Say Yes to the Dress marathons. Even so, it was my first appointment and I still felt like I should keep looking, but I shouldn’t have bothered…I compared every dress at every other store to "the one," and was back with credit card in hand the next day.

Not only did I find my dream gown at Hitched, but I ended up purchasing my invitations there as well. Their selection is fabulous—not as overwhelming as some of the larger stationary shops that I stopped in (which was good for me and my indecision) but they have something for everyone...and the 20% discount I received because of already buying my dress there certainly didn't hurt! For my invitations and fittings, Lynette became my go-to girl, and she was wonderful. She was friendly, calm, and professional in every situation, was incredibly responsive and always remembered the personal details despite the numerous brides she was working with simultaneously. Their on-site seamstress was excellent as well, and even though I didn’t purchase bridesmaid dresses there, they have a great selection and a beautiful second space upstairs for that experience. They were super accommodating when I came in to try on the dress my friend had selected for us to wear in her upcoming wedding.

I received countless compliments on our modern invitations and on my gorgeous gown, and in turn I cannot compliment Hitched (and especially Lynette and Lisa) enough! An all-around great experience that I would recommend to any bride-to-be in the DC area!

I bought my dress at Hitched' January 2010 sample sale. It was a $4,000 Judd Waddell for $1,500. Luckily it fit almost perfectly, so I got the couture dress I wanted at a price I could afford.

The staff at the store kept the sample sale very organized, despite there being dozens of half naked brides demanding dresses everywhere! There was always a staff member around to answer questions.

Highly recommend going to one of their sample sales.

The girls at hitched are wonderful as is hitched itself. It is the one stop shop for the busy bride, you can get your dress, bridesmaid dresses and order your invitations there. I ordered my invites from Hitched and the girls were very helpful on invite etiquette, when to send them out and how many to order!

They are the best there!!

I would HIGHLY recommend Hitched to any bride in the DC area and well, even outside of the city limits! I got both my bridal gown and my invitations at Hitched and could not have had a better experience! My dress, alternations were amazing and the invitations were one of my FAVORITE parts of my wedding. They literally turned out better than I had expected much in part due to Hitched staff (specially Lynette helped me with everything - a guru!!)! I got sooo many compliments on everything and am so glad that I found this place. Love.Love.Love!

Hitched deserves 5 stars. The entire experience was fun, stress- free and the staff is incredibly professional. Every fittings appointment started on time and my dress was always ready and handled meticulously. Their seamstress is fabulous. I cant say enough!

I love Hitched. I loved my entire experience with the ladies here, and my dress was absolutely gorgeous and fit beautifully for the wedding day.
There are a few main points I think other brides will find helpful in reading about Hitched:
1) The Staff: Everyone there is helpful, professional, and NOT pushy in terms of trying to get you to make a purchase. I came in for two appointments, and bought my gown at the second appointment, and felt as though the woman working with my (Annie) was happy for me to have found the gown I wanted to wear on my wedding day. The women who worked with me during my fittings were incredibly meticulous, making sure the dress fit me like a glove on the wedding day and that the length was perfect. Their seamstress was cheerful and always told me how beautiful I looked in the gown, and who doesn't want to hear that?
2) The Selection: The gowns at Hitched are carefully chosen, and their choices of designers are perfect. I enjoyed having several varieties to chose from, while NOT having to sift through racks and racks of dresses. They may not have hundreds of dresses, but those that they do have in the store are timeless and elegant.
3) The 'Hitched Maids' Boutique: My bridesmaids also got their dresses at Hitched in their newly opened 'Maids' area. They enjoyed the flexibility with several of the designers offered to mix and match the styles of the tops and bottoms of dresses. I also liked the choices of fabric and color- there were many options.

Again, I love this place, and highly reccomend it to all future brides and bridal parties!

Oh, Hitched. What an incredible gem of a store and a fabulous place to find your dream dress! Annie helped me find the perfect dress while making me feel completely at ease and relaxed. This store (I visited several) has the most unique and exquisite selection, the friendliest staff, the lowest level of pressure, and the most impeccable alterations. The staff let me come in as many times as I wanted after I had already purchased my dress to try on the sample with my jewelry, again to try it with hair, again with makeup.... I must have been in at least ten times, but they were always willing to accommodate me! My dress and veil were absolutely gorgeous and fit perfectly, and I could not have been happier with the service. This place is a breath of fresh air in a world full of pushy and stuffy bridal stores! This is THE place to buy your wedding dress.

The ladies at Hitched made the whole experience - from picking out my dress to accessorizing to fittings - absolutely wonderful! The entire staff is very helpful and responsive. The selection of dresses is big, but not overwhelming. The store provides a very personalized dress shopping experience and has a wonderful welcoming environment. Highly recommend them!

I purchased my wedding gown from Hitched and I was so pleased with the entire experience. Since Hitched is by appointment only, the store is never crowded and they always give you the royal treatment. On the day I decided to purchase my dress I was still deciding between a dress at another store and the dress at Hitched. I started off at Hitched, tried on my dress and then went to the other store to try on the other dress. I was 95% sure I wanted the dress at Hitched however, I wanted to try it on one more time to be 100% sure. Although I had already had my appointment at Hitched that day, they were flexible and let me come back in to try the dress on one last time. I purchased the dress that day! When I purchased my dress it was still a little over a year away from my wedding date so Hitched suggested that I hold off on final measurements until closer to my date. As a result, only minor alterations were needed. I had my alterations done by the seamstress at Hitched and she is truly talented. At my final dress fitting I had a minor concern about how my dress fit, the seamstress came over, nipped and tucked the dress and it fit perfectly. I am so happy I purchased my dress from Hitched, with all the other things one can worry about before a wedding, my dress was never one of them.

I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted when I went in to Hitched. I had an awful experience at another bridal boutique, so I was pretty nervous. The ladies at hitched were AMAZING. I purchased both my bridesmaid and wedding dresses with them and they turned out absolutely beautiful!!

Hitched was wonderful! Not only did the have the best selection of wedding dresses, but their service was spectacular! Lynette helped me and she was great. She seemed to know which dresses worked best for my body and which ones I would be the most comfortable in! She was very patient with me as I struggled to commit to one dress. Once I finally ordered my dream dress and veil, Hitched was even better with the fittings. They did not let me walk out of the store until I was SURE my dress and veil fit me the way I wanted! I had a great experience there and would highly recommend it!!!

I ended up choosing a vintage gown for my wedding, but when I was first engaged I visited Hitched and a few other bridal salons in the DC area. Hitched was the most professional, the sales staff was very friendly and their gowns & accessories are absolutely exquisite.

Finding a great wedding dress and feeling supported and comfortable can be done only if you are working with wonderful people. This is the case at Hitched. The store is pretty, the girls who work there are young, and they know what they are doing. Every time I visited Hitched -- when I returned to actually purchase my dress, for a fitting or to pick up my veil for a hair trial -- they sent me a handwritten note. Leigh Ann saved me the day I came to try on my first wedding dress: I had brought my mom, sisters, and two family friends visiting from out of town. This was a mistake! Too many female opinions. She gently reminded me as she helped me out of one dress into another that I had to love the dress, and my family's opinions mattered, but not as much as my own. She was not pushy or insincere, and I enjoyed that shopping experience very much because she was so helpful and supportive. Leigh Ann also gave great expert and constructive advice about which dresses suited my figure and why. I fell in love with dress #5, and that was it. I loved working with them because they were knowledgeable, relaxed, fun and very helpful.

We got all of our bridesmaid dresses at Hitched. If you haven't been there, its the cutest store, very clean and well orgnaized... with a great dressing area and sitting area. They were very fun and easy to work with and offered lots of great help, recommendation and resources as we made our decisions! In the end, all the girls picked their own style of dresses from the Simple Shilouette line, which was such a great idea. The ordering was very simple and they girls in the store were all very friendly and helpful with the process.

My maid of honor was pregnant and gave birth less than 3 months before the wedding and they worked with her after the baby arrived to rush order her dress in the right size, post-pregnancy. I definitely recommend shopping at Hitched for your bridal attire!

I got my bridesmaids dresses from Hitched. I could not be more impressed with the process. From start to finish they were organized and efficient making a complicated piece of the planning run smoothly. I had bridesmaids from all over the country and they each ordered a different style from the same designer. I assumed that with so many orders, something would get messed up. All the orders came in correctly and on time! I also found their sales associates personable and impressive. They were competent and able to answer all our questions. The owners are amazing as well. All in all, I was very pleased with my experience at Hitched!

This is a great place! What can I say? I showed up way too late and with a problem body type and they found me a perfect dress and saw me the whole way through the process. Very professional and they really know what they're doing. I decided not to worry about the price because there's so much they do for free once you buy the dress -- as many tailoring sessions as you need, lots of good advice on foundational garmets and attire -- and they really are experts at what they do. In the long run, it's more expensive, if you ask me, to go to people less knowledgeable about wedding dresses, with less busines contacts, and get a dress that you keep spending money trying to tailor and get to work with you. These guys have great contacts: my dress's designer happened to be in town for a trunk show so they scheduled my muslim fitting to be done by the designer himself! Now that's service! Very flexible on appointments with you. Very available. Go there, go there, go there, and listen to them. They know what they're doing!

I highly recommend Hitched for their beautiful selection of dresses and their professionalism. They have a surprisingly large selection of dresses to choose from and I found many to try on during my first visit. All of the girls who work there are so nice, helpful and responsive. It feels like you are trying on dresses with all of your girlfriends rather than sales people, which makes the experience a lot more fun. I highly recommend their option for alterations because you can get as many alterations as needed and they take care of everything. When I went for my first fitting one of the owners was there the whole time with the seamstress to make sure everything went smoothly, and it did. They also had no problem pressing my veil, which I did not buy there. It was a completely worry-free, and fun, experience with Hitched.

I almost bought my dress at a major department store and then I found Hitched. Throughout the wedding planning process, I thanked my lucky stars that I did.

Let's start with the fact that Hitched doesn't just carry major lines- they hand pick the most special gowns from bridal collections, which means that they have a number of dresses that never see the racks at major department stores or bridal stores. I have never seen the designer of my dress sold anywhere else.

They were also tremendously helpful when I had to choose between two dresses- just the right balance of encouraging/ hands-off attention when one is making that crucial- and difficult- decision between one dress and another. They'd show me veils, shoes, etc. that could go with either option, and when I finally decided, they told me what I needed to hear.

I lost a lot of weight before my wedding and their seamstress was also excellent. There was no additional charge above the flat alterations fee even though I needed something like four fittings. I was uncertain about a fit the week before my wedding and they immediately made time to resolve my issue.

These ladies are classy, informed, flexible, and patient. I didn't just choose the perfect dress, I chose the perfect place to buy it :) Thanks, hitched!

I love the Hitched ladies. They have great taste and great attitudes. They're so fun, so responsive and professional without being sales-y. I purchased my dress invitations, veil, shoes and a pearl hair clip from Hitched and love everything. Every experience with this boutique was delightful - I miss them!

I LOVED going to Hitched. As much as I loved my dress, I loved the store where I bought it. Going into Hitched was a different experience from every other bridal store I went to and I went to probably more than 6 stores looking for a dress. Hitched was like hanging out with a group of friends. There was no pressure, they were very patient with MANY questions from me and my mom and everyone had a great attitude. They were flexible with times to come in for appointments and very accommodating to me and friend and family that came in. My dress was tailored to my liking, everything was on time and there were no mistakes with ordering.

Hitched was the first and only bridal shop I went to! Originally I thought they’d be out of my price range, but I fell in love with all of their gowns and was pleasantly surprised to find they were very reasonably priced! Leigh Ann was the perfect salesperson for me, giving great advice but never pushing for one thing or another. Her service, as well as the rest of the staff’s, was truly one of the reasons I wanted to buy from Hitched. At each of my fittings, either one of the store’s owners or Leigh Ann was with me and the seamstress. They were all extremely knowledgeable and made sure my dress was altered to fit me like a glove! They got to know me and their goal was always to make my day a success. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dress!

The invitations were perfect and were sent smoothly as planned. The design and details of the invitations were outstanding.

Elegant shop, amazing dresses, and wonderful service! Since I was getting married in less than the required 6 months to order a dress, I had to go with a sample dress. Fortunately, I was able to find the dress of my dreams on sample sale at Hitched. Amazing!! The only con I could think of is that their tailor was very pricey. I really enjoyed working with everyone at this shop and would happily take any of my girlfriends here!

Great staff! How they stay chipper all the time is a mystery but they really seem to enjoy their jobs. Great selection of dresses though I found mine very early on. The seamstress, Jaz(?), is PHENOMENAL. She works wonders. My only minor critique is hey are so busy it is hard to get appointments but thats a tribute to their exemplary selection and staff.

Hitched offered wonderfully personal service and fantastic advice. They arranged for me to consult with the designer of my gown. They provided extraordinarily friendly service.

The girls at Hitched were great to work with! Even though they see new brides every day, every time you walk in there they make you feel like you are the only.

My experience with Hitched was great. I had been looking for a dress for a while, and when I came to Hitched as was 90% I was just going to get my dress custom made. Reason being: I already knew the style and look I wanted, I was very specific. But, when I came to Hitched I saw the most beautiful gown in the window - and that was it! It was a gorgeous Modern Trousseau gown from the new collection, and the designer just happened to be there that day. I talked to the designer and told her the that I wanted the dress (which is strapless) to be an off-the-shoulder. When she said she could do it, Hitched helped me every step of the way. I went to numerous fittings and had lots of alterations to make the top of the dress look absolutely perfect. The only small issue I had was that the dress was very expensive and they did not seem willing to negotiate. Being that we are in a Recesion, I think all vendors should currently be negotiable to some extent. Other than that, the dress was amazing and certainly worth it.

Hitched provided one of the best, most comfortable experiences in my entire wedding planning process. I don't live close to my family, so did not have my Mother or Sister available to choose a dress with me, but the employees at Hitched were always so friendly, accommodating, and helpful that I felt much more comfortable than I did elsewhere. They were also very upfront about scheduling, pricing, and alterations.

I highly recommend Hitched for several reasons:

• Efficiency: I finally made-up my mind up to buy a dress from Hitched 3.5 months before my wedding. With a rush-order, my dress arrived 4 weeks later.

• Willingness to make it perfect: a month before the wedding (after fitting # 2 of 3), I told Hitched the dress wasn’t quite where I wanted it to be. They immediately booked two additional fittings, and worked with me until the dress was perfect. They were eager to see me happy and were never impatient with my requests.

• Creativity: I wanted a bustle that could not be seen, and the seamstress, Jas, came up with a method she had not used before: she folded the skirt underneath itself, and kept the bustle in place with seven easy buttons.

• Professionalism: when I purchased my dress, the contract was easy to understand and included all the information I needed. They responded to my e-mails very quickly.

• Punctuality: Whether it was to try on several dresses or for a fitting, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes upon arrival for my appointment to start.

• Flexibility: They were more than willing to have my fiancée with me choosing the dress and having it fitted. To accommodate him, they assigned us a fitting room with a small lounge that is further away from the others.

• Realism: they changed their tone to fit my attitude. I am unromantic and only began thinking about my wedding when I got engaged. They answered my resale value questions without hesitation and gave me tips regarding its post-wedding care.

• Selection: they have a beautiful variety of dresses. I bought mine during a trunk show, and the designer was actually in the store and with me when I chose her dress.

• Location: Hitched is conveniently located in Georgetown, which means I was able to go for lunch time appointments.

I loved my wedding dress and loved working with Hitched! They were consistently helpful and made my dress buying experience great. All of the girls that work there are fun to work with. I like that when you go there you have an individual appointment and someone's undivided attention. It is in Georgetown, which was convenient for me and that helped a lot when doing fittings leading up to my wedding. I was getting married across the country and Hitched pressed and packed my dress in a travel cover. I rated it a bit lower on value, because there are definitely some "bargain" shops that you could get A dress cheaper, but for me the dress I bought (Modern Trousseau Mimi) was worth paying a bit more and the service was fantastic. Some of the "cheaper" shops did not provide individual attention or dressing rooms and I think would have seemed like a big difference in service. That said, I went to several salons that were MUCH more expensive, so I wouldn't call Hitched anything crazy, just not the cheapest out there. In my opinion, you get what you pay for and I had a great experience with them. Also, I got my dress at a trunk show so got to meet the designer and talk to her while I was trying on my dress, which is pretty cool! :)

Hitched was one of my favorite vendors to work with throughout this process. Julia was fantastic and Lynette was just as wonderful when Julia went on her maternity leave. The dresses are not inexpensive, but they are all beautiful and well made. I went during a trunk show and was able to meet the designer - a fantastic experience. I am a plus size girl and even though the samples are small they really made me feel completely at easy and every bit the "beautiful bride". Also - their in house seamstress, Jaz, is great too!

I had been dreading going wedding gown shopping with my mom, who had very different ideas about what gown would suit me than my ideas. The ladies at Hitched made our experience so much fun! In our initial consultation they trotted out gowns that neither my mom nor I had envisioned -- in addition to ones we had envisioned -- and, in the end, suggested the gown which turned out to be a dream fit for both my body and personality! They clearly love what they do, which makes the experience way more fun than at any other shop I visited, including shops that carry the same caliber (read: pricetag) of designer and couture gowns. My only complaint is that I had to fly back to DC from my home across the country for the initial fitting, which cost me time and money. I understand their policy on this, but I still had to have substantial alterations done when the gown arrived and I hadn't lost any weight or changed my measurements. In other words, I was disappointed in their seamstress's work on the initial muslin fitting, although I'm sure she does really great work in final fittings.

I wanted to look beautiful for my wedding, and for me, that meant spending a bit more to find a beautiful, quality dress. I visited two dress shops, first Hitched, and then one a bit more budget-friendly. After trying on the gorgeous dresses at Hitched, the other shop was a huge disappointment, and their lesser-priced dresses looked and felt cheap by comparison. But Hitched didn't stand out only because they had nicer dresses. The service there is phenomenal. The staff is extremely attentive, and you get one on one service with ZERO attitude. You can browse all the dresses in the store, and they'll work with you to find the perfect dress. I absolutely loved my dress. The only thing I didn't really like about Hitched was their alterations policy. It's a flat fee, and all my dress needed was hemming and the bustle button added on. If I had needed the dress taken in, let out or otherwise significantly altered, that would have been a fair price. But my alterations were minimal, so the flat fee was a bit high.

Hitched is fantastic. They worked with us over six months. The service was great. The owners are lovely people.

I'm sure all DC brides are aware of this, but there are only a handful of bridal salons in the District and there are limited selections of dresses in these stores. I got married in DC so I really wanted to find something within DC so that I won't have to drive hours to do my fitting etc. Luckily, after a few trials and errors, I was able to find a gorgeous Amsale dress at Hitched, and it has been a breeze after that. Katie was amazing; she is very down-to-earth, tells you things as is, and has that cool vibe about her that sort of puts you in ease. :) Had three fittings and picked up the dress two days before the wedding, and they did a wonderful job with it. I got a lot of compliments on my dress (too bad I can't wear it again!) and I am really grateful that Katie and the seamstress made the journey a pleasant one.

The services and dresses at Hitched are wonderful. I worked with Ileana, who was charming and not at all pushy -- she let me take my time in making a decision and didn't let her own opinions affect her work. She even charmed my crazy mother! The owners were a little more pushing trying to sell me on accessories when it came to paying, and it's clear they want to steer you toward a particular set of partners.

All that said, however, the alterations were done perfectly and quickly, with last-minute adjustments while I waited, and the final product was lovely.

Hitched is a great bridal shop with an amazing team. I am especially grateful for all of the help I received from Lynette as I searched for the perfect dress.
I was worried that it would take me forever to narrow down my wedding look and find the right dress. Lynette asked all the right questions: where's the wedding, what time of year and what DON'T you want. Listening to my answers, she was able to guide me in the right direction, and to disprove my opinion that a strapless gown would look awful on me.
Hitched has great trunk shows, providing opportunities for brides to connect directly with their dress-makers and designers. As a Georgetown boutique, its a bit on the high-end for price, but you pay for quality and service as well as that unique gown for your special day. There is something for everyone and discounts on trunk show days make this shop worth a look no matter the budget.
The staff is truly helpful, professional, and friendly. They are masters at breaking the "hey you're half naked" ice. I would highly recommend them.

I purchased my wedding dress at Hitched. It was a fantastic experience. The girls there made me feel so welcome and at ease. At my first appointment, I told the consultant what styles I thought I liked, and she pulled some dresses for me. I ended up going to a few other boutiques, but ended up back at Hitched to purchase the first dress I tried on. They were also very helpful throughout the alteration process. The alterations were impeccable. I highly recommend any bride to check out Hitched!

Overall, i had a great experience using Hitched to purchase my wedding gown. The shopping experience was PERFECT. Annie was my consultant and she was totally easy-going and low-pressure. She showed me lots of dresses and gave honest opinions. I also liked that all the dresses are on display so you don't feel like anything's being hidden. When i purchased the dress, all the terms were explained clearly and adhered to throughout the process.

My alterations were pretty easy and were well done. They have a consultant sit with you and the seamstress and each was really nice and flattering. I had one hitch in my experience - my strapless dress really felt like it was not staying up. The first time i raised this issue (at the 2nd fitting) I didn't feel like it was listened to as well as it should have been. However, when i was more insistent on this point (at the final fitting), the owner went over-and-above to resolve the issue. We worked out a plan to fix it and she even had straps overnighted from the designer in NY in case we decided that was the best solution. No grudges here since the issue was resolved very well and the owner was responsive to the concerns i raised about my experience at the 2nd fitting.

I will say that their alteration calendar is not very convenient if you work. There aren't many late appointments and they seem to fill up quickly.

I would not hesitate to recommend Hitched to other brides.

Had a great time at their sample sale, the dress was gorgeous and very unique, the salespeople were excellent even during all the hubbub!

Though I ultimately decided not to buy my dress there, I highly recommend Hitched. Great service in the shop made it a very fun visit for my girlfriends. They were also very generous with their rolodex and had a great suggestions for other vendors.

Small selection but great stuff. A bit pricey so try to check out a sample sale if you can. The staff were very nice and pretty sweet. But again, small selection.

All of the ladies at Hitched very nice and definitely try to help the bride out find her "special dress". However, the cost is quite high and any of the trunk shows, the discount was minimal. I do think they need more flexibility with scheduling brides in for a fittings. They never had the time slot I needed. They need more seamstresses to assist all of the clientele.

I went to this store looking for a bridesmaid's dress to wear as my wedding dress. They carry a nice line of designers - Thread, Simple Silhouettes, etc... However, I feel like I didn't get as good of a service as compared to if I were buying a "real" high-end wedding gown. Maybe because I was looking for a bridesmaid's dress in white for myself (bride), they felt like I was being cheap? I don't know... Anyway, they didn't really let me look through their lack of dresses freely - I always had to ask the salesperson each time I wanted to try something on.

What a gorgeous place to try on gowns, and an amazing place to purchase one if you have $5,000 laying around. The staff are incredibly helpful, and the fitting rooms make you feel like a princess. They have gorgeous gowns, with a lot of character, because they really are boutique designs. I fond an amazing one by a Parisian designer, but with the rush fee, it was going to cost almost as much as my honeymoon!!! Too bad.

Things Hitched does well:
keep track of what you like and don't like
personable, friendly manner-- low pressure
lots and lots of pretty dresses

Things they do less well:
They aren't here to cater to brides on a budget-- even though they advertise samples on their website, they were hesitant to pull these for me, preferring to show me dresses that were above the range i wanted to spend, after telling me they had "nothing for me in that price range." they did, actually, have 3 or 4 dresses I liked at my price point, but these were the last ones they showed me. Also, the alteration price for samples is quite high, which cuts into some of the savings.

The store is tiny, so definitely avoid weekends. All of the fun and relaxed ambiance evaporates.

Its a fun experience, and they will definitely walk you through the dress-shopping-experience with ease. Just don't be discouraged if you don't find something there, or if you feel like everything is pricey-- this is Georgetown.

An absolute must when you're shopping for your dream wedding down or for your best ladies. Julia & Carin and their staff provide a warm and inviting environment with absolutely zero pressure which is hard to come by in the world of bridal salons. I highly recommend visiting Hitched!
