Hockridge Florist

She did a wonderful job on our flowers. My mom had used her for my two sister's prior weddings. She was amazing. We had decided to use her as a Wedding coordinator for mine. She had great ideas and I was really excited. There was truly only a couple things that I wasn't happy about. My flowers were late, they were suppose to be there at noon and they didn't get there until close to 4pm, our wedding was at 5:30. So my photographer only got a couple photos with me and my bouquet. They second thing was the food! The food was horrible, we asked for rice and got some kind of spaghetti noodles. The chicken was so small my little cousin asked if it was a biscuit, lastly it took so LONG to get our food out to us. We got our salads and it took a HOUR after that for them to get our food to us. They forgot to serve us our bread rolls and they didn't serve one slice of our wedding cake. We had both cheese cake & wedding cake and only the cheese cake was served. Over all my wedding was good. I think she got a bit over-whlemed and I definitely think she should of hired more help. She is a very kind and sweet lady, but to be honest if I were to re plan my wedding I probably wouldn't use her for as much as I did.

not happy with flowers

My florist saved my reception. Less than a week before my wedding, I realized that I was not going to be able to make my venue (a garage/barn), look like I had wanted. As I gave up and tried to swallow my disapointment, I emailed Ann from Hockridge Florist to let her know that when she delivered the tables/linens and chairs the next day (which she rents!!!), she should ignore the rest of the barn and not be surprised at how it looked. She emailed me back right away and asked if I needed help. Two days before the wedding, she showed up with a few helpers, and directed my fiance and a few of our out-of-town guests on how to make it perfect. She was able to suggest ways to fix it up, secure the supplies needed to do it, and relay the instructions to the groom. By the end of the day, I had my dream reception area, because of her. Since that's not what you normally ask of a florist.... here's the regular florist review...
My flowers were BEAUTIFUL!!! I got a million compliments on them, and they lived for at least a week after the reception so I could continue to enjoy them. Ann made my reception, she saved me from sooo many worries, I couldn't have been happier with everything Hockridge Florist did. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!

I had the best time with this florist! She is smart, funny, imaginitive and she knows her stuff. she came up with wonderful ideas for the ceremony flowers and the reception flowers. The arrangements turned out better than I had imagined and Anne-Marie amazed me with her creativity!
