Jeff's a great guy to work with!

Jeff Holmes was a fantastic dj at our wedding reception. We planned our wedding from out of town and he made himself available to talk with us and plan quite a few times. He has so much experience and really helped walk us through any questions that we had.

Once we got to the wedding day, he was completely on top of the whole evening, helping us through each event during the reception.

Best of all though, is his taste in music. He will absolutely work with your tastes and ideas and his musical knowledge just enhances it all. Almost every guest was up and dancing ALL NIGHT. The music was so good we just couldn't stop.

He is professional, experienced, fun, and easy-going. So glad he was there with us on our wedding...

About 4 years ago Jeff DJed my sister wedding and he did a great job. I decided to use him for my husband and I's wedding and it was the right decision. He understood our taste in music and the different age groups at the reception. Everyone had a blast and Jeff was a big part of that!

Jeff was the DJ at our reception and did an amazing job. Our main goal was for all of our guests to have a blast and to keep the dance floor packed. Jeff knew exactly what music to play to get our guests of all ages out on the dance floor. He was always professional and very quick to respond to emails. He was fantastic!

Jeff is a fantastic DJ, very easy going in attitude but supremely professional. He had a couple suggestions for us (because really, how many more decisions could we make) that were spot on. We had several generations dancing on the floor at the same time and THAT is a testament to Jeff's super DJ powers. My husband is a last minute planner and had several day of additions that Jeff handled seamlessly. Jeff doesn't run out in a chicken suit and didn't make us do any of that goofy stuff but he was involved just enough to keep the reception going strong for a solid 5 hours.

Jeff Holmes from Holmes Music World was wonderful! He was a great DJ for the evening, helped accounce when things were going to happen, helped with specific requests and kept everyone dancing all night long. We had a great time at our wedding! :)

Jeff was awesome!!! The dance floor was packed the entire night! He did an awesome job of "reading" the crowd and getting everyone out on the dance floor; from my aunts, to college friends to younger cousins. I can't say enough what a great job he did. My husband and I were so pleased with the music he played. He was extremely professional and had everything timed perfectly with the announcements and special dances. He brings great quality equipment that helps with the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, he does it all. I would recommend him to any bride, he won't let you down!

Jeff Holmes was our DJ for the wedding reception and was awesome!! We all know DJ's can make or break the party and he definitely made the party for sure!! He took our entrance idea and made it even cooler and pre recorded the whole thing! He was very resposive to emails and was flexible with meeting times. Very laid back and cool vib (which is something every bride wants (needs) on the wedding day!!) Overall awesome dj and would highly reccommend!!!

Jeff did a great job of incorporating different genres of music to suit our requests and those of our guests. The dance floor was crowded all night!

Holmes Music World did an amazing job at our wedding and I would recommend them 100%. I had numerous people come up to be during the wedding and tell me how great a job the DJ was doing. He read the crowd very well and kept our guests dancing all night.

Can I just say that he had EVERYONE ON THE DANCE FLOOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT- I didn't know this was actually possible. Hey elegant brides during cocktail hour and party animals at night- this is your guy. I had one of those weddings with a SMASHING dance party. This dude is cool, suave and ready to party. My husband is polish and his grandpa brought a CD of polish music which Jeff downloaded on the spot and had all of my new Polish relatives polkaing away for a couple songs. He also had my sorority sisters mingling pretty well with my husbands fraternity brothers with modern music.

-dance party had everything which had old and young on the dance floor
-great adaptable DJ
-hip/modern music
-seriously I never stopped dancing i had such a great time.

Justin Collet was our DJ from Holmes Music World, and he was perfect! He was professional and, most of all, NOT cheesy. We received compliments from guests saying how nice it was that the DJ wasn't out there making it all about himself with props and such. He emceed the reception flawlessly and played the music we suggested in addition to other great songs that got people out on the dance floor. We especially enjoyed the anniversary dance. We would recommend Justin without reservation.

Jeff was amazing! He was super professional, laid back, and really knew how to take control of our reception. We received so many compliments of how fun our reception was and I must give props to Jeff for that. He knew the right songs to play at the right time and he was just fabulous.

We LOVED Jeff Holmes and would recommend them for any event. Not only did Jeff DJ our reception but made a great recommendation for a guitar player/singer to play at the out door cocktail hour....we spent a lot but got a great party in return. Plus they were fun! the entire bridal party followed them to the bar next door to keep the party going!

Every Brides' worst nightmare come time for the reception is that the DJ is bad and can't keep the guest entertained. Well, this is not the case with Jeff Holmes! He even had the old folks up and dancing. Eric and I were able to give Jeff our wedding songs and then let him play the music he knew would get everyone out of their seats and on the dance floor. Not only can Jeff keep the party going, but Jeff is an awesome guy with a passion for what he does. Holmes Music world is a no BS kind of company. No contracts, no price list, no limitations! He does not charge you for his travel, set-up & breakdown. He only charges for the time he is working for you! Jeff, thank you for all of your hard work! Justin Stancil of Jeff Holmes Music World was awesome! We met with him one time and booked him before we even heard him play. He plays acoustic at restaurants around KC. We listened to him one time, and by the end of the night knew we made the right choice because he was standing up on the bar playing the guitar! :) We loved him because he could play acoustic part of the night, and be the dj the rest of the night. He offered to learn our first dance song so it could be acoustic for us. He said he could play as much or as little acoustic as we wanted. He was so flexible with us. We had numerous comments on how much people loved our dj. He played acoustic up until dinner, and then switched to dj'ing after that. We just gave him a list of songs we liked, but he didn't have to play... and told him to go with it. Just to keep people dancing! And he did! I heard him play some of the songs we suggested, but he did his own thing as well. And he is the nicest guy, we will continue to go to see him play around KC. We're both so glad we booked Justin. He's relaxed, but very professional at the same time.

Jeff Holmes was awesome! He was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ; we wanted someone professional, yet laid-back. He assisted us in creating the perfect wedding reception atmosphere where the dance floor was packed all night long. Additionally, he did a great job of making sure that the flow of events throughout the night was smooth and seamless. To this day we still get comments from our guests on how much fun our wedding was.

Jeff Holmes did an amazing job at our wedding ceremony and reception. He was open to our ideas regarding music selections and had great suggestions for things we could not think of. He is so fun and nice and amazing to work with. I was nervous about our reception as we had an Indian/Western wedding and I did not know if everyone would dance to the different types of music. Jeff did a REMARKABLE job of getting everyone on the dance floor and having a good time, even if the music was unfamiliar to them. His music selections and timing could not have been better and he is really able to read a crowd to see what is going to get people up and having fun. You have a great voice for what you do, it is pleasing to the ear and your tone was energetic! You are worth every hard earned penny we spent and more!!!!! Jeff did a great job at the reception! We got a lot of compliments on his services afterwords. We didn't want any of the cheesy stuff and he listened to what we wanted. He got everybody up and dancing!

I HIGHLY recommend Jeff with Holmes' Music World. He had our friends and family dancing from the start of our reception until the final song was played at the end of the night. The dance floor stayed PACKED the entire night, and that was exactly what we wanted. Jeff was easy to work with and allowed my fiance and I to guide the evening. I believe someone else could have played the EXACT same playlist as our DJ, but not in a way that kept people dancing all night long. Jeff's skill of knowing WHAT to play WHEN was essential to the fun memories we have at our reception!

Booking Jeff, of Holmes Music World, was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! One of the most important goals of our wedding celebration was to make sure our guests had a great time by attending a GREAT PARTY!---and a great party it was, becase the music and DJ'ing was outstanding! Our DJ really tried to help create the party we envisioned by making sure to play the songs we really wanted to hear and making sure NOT to play songs we (and our guests) really did NOT want to hear! He announced well and kept the party mood going! Our wedding party and guests were in it to really BOOGIE DOWN, and I think we got it done that night, partly thanks to Jeff! Jeff has a laid back, cool, up-to-date style, and he is very easy to work with. We would recommend him to anyone. We were pleased!! :)

Jeff did a fabulous job at my sister's wedding 10 years ago and when the time came for another friend's wedding we highly recommended him to her and she wasn't disappointed! He had the dance floor full at both receptions and everyone still talks about how fun both were! Great job Jeff!

Holmes Music World was an awesome selection for our wedding. It's been almost a year now, and I'm still recommending him to friends and brides I meet along the way. A subtle presence, great speaking voice, great feel of the crowd, and someone who blended right into the party, Jeff Holmes did an incredible job. Jeff Holmes did an absolutely wonderful job at our wedding. I was able to select the exact songs I wanted played and he played them! Jeff was very friendly to work with and got back to me promptly concerning details about the wedding. We met twice before the wedding and I think that made a big impact on the entire event. He is fabulous!! You will not regret having him or his staff at your wedding. Everyone danced the night away!! It was exactly what I wanted...

Jeff is great to work with and is SO experienced! He may be pricier than some other vendors out there, but we didn't spend extra money on a string quartet or live musicians for the ceremony so we were okay spending a little more and he was well worth the money. He's a great emcee as well--keeps everyone in the loop at the reception, but isn't on the mic too much (I've been to events where the emcee/DJ wouldn't be quiet!) All in all, we would highly recommend him!

What a great company to do business with. Very efficient, friendly and accommodating. I couldn't have handpicked a better DJ for our wedding I have had so many compliments from guests . Thanks for everything!

We actually had Justin from Holmes DJ our wedding. He did a great job. He's very laid back and still professional at the same time. I would recommend him.

Unsure why my father's mic didn't work during the ceremony during his scripture reading, this is my only complaint. Otherwise, our time with Jeff was perfect. He did our ceremony and reception it was smooth and wonderful and we had many comment on how great he was from several guests.

The DJ for my event was Justin Collet with Holme Music World. Justin extremely nice and very easy to work with. I did however think his services were overpriced and was disappointed in the overall quality of his services. At 200.00 an hour, the only setup at the DJ booth was a laptop computer. Also, in our first meeting he said he would be wearing a tux at our wedding which he was not. I gave Justin a list of songs, which I was very explict he use closely, and I kept hearing lame songs that cleared the dance floor. Then when I went to request a song on the list I have him, he didn't have it. He is nice but not very dynamic, not the guy you want at the helm of your party. It was very stressful having to dictate the next songs that would need to be played in order to keep people on the dance floor. I would say it was probably the most dissapointing aspect of my entire wedding. I wouldn't reccomend his services unfortunately. He was reccomended to me by Jeff Holmes of Holmes Music.

Holmes Music World is great! We have worked with Jeff and Justin many times and they are wonderful. Thier DJ's are on time, fun to work with, and do a great job of making sure they play what the clients request. I would strongly recommend Holmes Music World for any wedding that is looking for a great party.

We love Jeff and his staff at Holmes Music World. If he can't be here his staff is always exception and easy to work with in addition to being efficient and responsive. He's always at the top of my preferred professionals list!
