Home & Garden Show

When asked where I wanted to register, I explained that what I really wanted was the money to renovate our backyard. Nate and I had bought a house a few years back, and have gradually been investing in the value of the house with repairs and renovations. I wanted a backyard with a water fountain and a small deck. My mother suggested that we go to the Home and Garden Show, which I thought was a great idea. My mom, my close friends and many of my relatives, both male and female, spent the day walking around the exhibits getting ideas about the garden. My family also let me pick out specialty items for my garden, which was really nice of them. Friends also picked out unique bird feeders and other garden pots and things that you wouldn't normally find at a regular store or greenhouse. There's food to eat, places to sit and rest, and it was a really nice and eventful day. I liked it a lot, because I did get lots of idea of how our garden could be. We haven't done big renovations outside yet, just because of the economy, but we hope by 2010 to have the backyard of our dreams.
