My name is Breanna and my husband and I found Carla on a whim in January for our wedding in March! I had been researching many cake vendors and was having a hard time finding any places that were familiar and comfortable with doing Celtic Knot work. Then I happened upon Carla's website and saw a beautiful cake with a wonderfully done Celtic Knot. Her website gave me one of those feelings that I had found the perfect person, even though I had not even contacted Honey Crumb Cake Studio yet. My intuitions were spot on.
Carla was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! Professional, warm, inviting, creative, and she has this amazing talent to see your vision and then make it blossom into something better that what you ever imagined! My husband and I have been so impressed with her... from her artistic vision, to her flavors, precision, and overall execution.
Our cake was custom designed. I had made all my invitations myself, and had this specific Celtic Knot that I used on them. Carla took one of my invitations and hand painted the knot onto our cake! She even made these beautiful, intricate blue roses that we requested (my favorite flower). Our guests were extremely impressed with our cake, and we have been passing Carla's name out.
One last thing, for how talented, sweet and customized our cake was, the price was phenomenal. Carla's heart is in the right place, and I will use Honey Crumb Cake Studio's for all of my events from now on. My husband and I really feel we have made a friend with Carla and will support Carla's business endeavor's from here on out. Oh, and one last thing... Carla even made our cake stand so that it would match our wedding colors/design!

Carla Reich, at Honey Crumb Cake Studio made us a fantastic five tier red velvet and chocolate buttercream wedding cake. It was quite beautiful - much larger and prettier than we could have hoped for. The price was competitive and the service was outstanding. Response to emails or phone calls is very quick, and she provides customers with an extensive "floor plan" of the cake they will receive - and then provides exactly what she promised. Cake tasting was very fun, no pressure to choose immediately or commit on the spot.

Carla is a delight to work with and her product is absolutely gorgeous! She created exactly what my daughter envisioned. I still remember the taste of the cupcake -- succulent! Honey Crumb Cake Studio is a gem!

Carla is amazing. My wedding cakes were out of this world... not only were they breathtakingly beautiful but they tasted incredible. She is very easy to work with, full of fun ideas and overall has a sweet way about her. The mustache cookie favors were her idea and also a huge hit with our guests! I highly recommend her. She will make your wedding cake fabulous!!!

Carla Reich made a simply beautiful cake for my daughter's wedding in June. Becky's husband is a potter and a colleague and friend had created a ceramic cake topper for which Carla's cake needed to serve as a base in addition to being a work of art in itself. The bride had made a rhubarb filling that Carla incorporated in her gorgeous yellow cake, so yet another personal touch for the bride and groom was embraced by Honey Crumb. The cake and frosting were deliciious and we have a photograph of Carla and the cake topper artist in the wedding album. There aren't enough superlatives.

As I looked at these ratings I wanted to find something higher than a "5" to give her. Carla was amazing from the first moment we met. My husband and I had a unique idea for our wedding cake, tiramisu. We wanted it to be tiered, which typically they are not. Carla presented us with a taste test the first time we met, along with some ideas for presentation. Her pictures of cake options are elegant, not your typically glommed on frosting look. Carla took on the project of making our layer tiramisu cake as if it were her own wedding and the end product was perfect. Each layer was covered with a different chocolate shell to hold the tiramisu together; one milk chocolate, one white chocolate, and one dark chocolate. We even had different flavored liquids the cake had been soaked in. She brought the cake to us, assembled it for us, decorated it with flowers, and instructed the cutters on how to present it.
Carla is a true professional with amazing customer insight. She is flexible and eager to make your vision a reality, a much needed attribute for a busy bride and groom. I would highly recommend her for any special occasion cake. I simply cannot say enough positive things for her. I'd give her a "10" if it were available!

We've outlawed shortening, artificial flavors, and dry, dull, box-mix cake from our kitchen. I'm Carla Reich, Honey Crumb's owner and creative director. I've been baking cakes since I was a child (when I'd come home from school and think of nothing I'd like better than to spoon batter into a cake tin -- seriously, just ask my mom). I developed my artistic talents in ceramic sciences and portrait drawing before combining the two quite by accident one year, when I made a sculpted baseball cap cake for my husband's birthday. My family members were wondering where the cake was... until I stuck a cake knife into it and carved out a huge slice of chocolate sponge. I became hooked on sculpting cake, painting on cake, stacking cake, piping on cake... so when my family begged me to go into business, I obliged.
I opened my cake studio shortly thereafter and grew from strength to strength, first establishing a solid reputation in Eugene, Oregon, for wedding cakes that were striking to look at and delicious to eat. Honey Crumb Cake Studio now serves Seattle, the Eastside, and the greater Puget Sound region, and we'll continue to put our personal touch on everything, from the first design appointment to the final setup of your cake at the venue.
