Hotel Metro

We made reservations for some of our wedding guests for Hotel Metro. It was one of the best decisions we made as they were really nice about making sure our guests got a real nice room. All of our guests gave us lots of compliments on how the room was put together and all of the amenities the hotel had. They really liked the baths as they were really nice and they told me they got a good night sleep as the bed’s were all very comfortable.

Hotel Metro was a romantic and one-of-a-kind place to stay on my wedding night. The employee with whom I booked the room was professional and friendly. The room itself was beautiful—it had a fireplace; a roomy, spa-type bathtub; and a comfortable bed. My husband and I also received a bottle of sparkling wine once we got up to our room. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is that I thought the room was a little expensive. But, overall, the rooms are decorated nicely, the hotel is in a great location, and I would definitely recommend it for a wedding night stay.

We booked this hotel and had a number of hiccups in the beginning due to very high staff turn-over. In a six month period between the time of our booking and our reception, we had dealt with four different representatives. That aside, the venue and catering were fabulous -- I have to say that my own wedding was the best I've ever been to.

When we were looking for hotels for our guests, we considered Hotel Metro because it is so close to the museum. For people coming from out of town, it's also a really beautiful and central place to stay. These were the reasons why we booked a weekend here for ourselves! We opted out of the wedding romance package, just because we knew this wouldn't be the calm and romantic weekend that most couples hope for; we had family members and friends walking in and out of our room during the entire weekend, which was fine. I was so happy to see them, especially in such a comfortable setting. The hotel was beautiful, the room was very comfortable and really elegant. I really loved staying here.

The dinner was phenominal! The staff was incredibly gracious and the coordinator was wonderful. The only slip up was that I never received a final bill- just on my credit card statement.
