House of Brides

Everything was just average. I would not use them again for any alterations or dress needs. The shop is small, crowded and not very clean. The seamstress is difficult to communicate with and talked me into alterations that I didnt really want and wound up removing myself(straps). The are not too expensive, but now I know why.

If you are overweight and need a dress specifically altered Judy is your woman. However, you should know she will pin and critique but does zero alterations herself, yet always takes the credit. I threw business after business her way. She always delivered with a fake, phony, snotty attitude. No wonder her sales people were the same way! She completely botched sizing. We had to end up ordering an extra dress so she could cut it to shreds to fill in her sizing errors on two flower girl dresses. This cost us extra. She ordered bridesmaid dresses too large, so she could up charge on the plus size factor as well as numerous alterations. Her sales personnel are nasty drones. For all the years I referred people to her, when I needed her the most for my wedding, she repeatedly screwed me every which way - Now that's classy.

The location and decor itself is a little dated, but they've got a great selection of dresses at awesome prices. I loved how patient Shanna was with me every time I came in. Also used them for my bridesmaid dresses and was extremely happy overall. Although it wasn't exactly close by, it was definitely worth the trip!

Judy was wonderful Very accomodating and very fun. They are a well established company and been around for many years. The quality of their dresses was far above a David's Bridal and for a few dollars more, well worth it! Thought I found a dress at David's. Went to House of Brides the same day. Was unimpressed with the store when I walked in and told my Aunt "this will be quick"....we'll I was greated with a smile and an extremely helpful hand, and 30 minutes later walked out with the dress of my dreams!

The girls at House of Brides were great! Judy is a dream to work with. My dress was all lace with these beautiful scalloped edges on the hem. Judy not only made sure my dress fit like a glove, the hem was perfect. You would never know the hem was moved up! I had purchased my dress at another bridal shop but Judy and her staff didn't discriminate. They were the sweetest people and very professional! I would highly recommend House of Brides!

House of Brides is an excellent choice for a quality gown at not-so-expensive price! I ended up finding my dress at a different shoppe but then Judy was able to order it at House of Brides for a good $100 cheaper and give me a discount on all of my bridesmaids' gowns. The dresses were beautifully altered and fit everyone perfectly! This is a great choice for all your bridal attire needs :)

I was planning my wedding from 5 hours away and everyone there was wonderful in helping me with my dress. They accommodated me whenever I was in town and Judy was spectacular with my mother. She really went above and beyond and I will forever be thankful for what wonderful service she provided my family.

Judy and her staff made me comfortable from the minute I walked in the door. They were honest about fit and what to wear with the dress, etc. She was competitive on pricing (beating another vendor on the same dress) and fair about alterations, etc. She even altered a bridesmaid's dress, though she bought it somewhere else.
Their hours weren't great with my schedule, but I managed to fit in the fittings. :)

Oh the dress!!! Judy- Thank you to you and your girls! I absolutely fell in love with my dress from the moment I put it on! They were so good with making it the perfect fit! No matter what it took- they were going to do it! Even if there were many girls waiting, they never rushed you and made you feel like you were the only one in there! Thank you again ladies- I will send future brides your way!!!

I can not express how great Judy and her girls are. They went above and beyond to help me get the dress of my dreams and get it altered. The alterations are a little pricey but well worth it. They will always be the first person I recommend from my wedding. Great choices, great flexibility and great staff

Loved the ladies there. My dress was perfect.

Great shop. I got my gown there. When I was looking through their gowns... I saw one I liked, but I wasn't thrilled with the exact gown. They were able to sketch out a picture of features I wanted added to the gown and send it to the dress company for it to be customized. Very reasonable prices. Attentive staff. Small, at-home feeling... they'll remember your name after one visit!

I really did have a pleasant experience with House of Brides. The women who work there are knowledge about different body types and what will flatter who. In fact, I found a beautiful dress but felt it wouldn't look good one me so I was going to put it back. The woman who was helping me told me to just try it, so I did and it ended up being my dress! They are honest when something is not flattering and they have many styles and many different price ranges. They do, however, get pretty busy and you spend a lot of time standing around waiting for your turn, as it is a small store. They also tend to get dresses in later than expected which can cause a little bit of stress. But, I would recommend them.... just make sure you order everything early!

Judy is the owner and she is WONDERFUL!! She helped with everything and calmed all my fears. She worked very hard to find the perfect dress for my girls, my mother, and I. She even gave me her cell number in case I had problems that day and got a spot!! HIGHLY recommended!!

Judy and the ladies were AMAZING. I loved my dress so much - they helped me to get the right dress, the right fit, and the right look for everything! Now if only I could hire them to help me look like that everyday... :)
