I had 11 bridesmaids and HQ Salon and Spa easily accommodated us! From the moment we arrived to when we left they went above and beyond for us. The front desk staff and salon staff were incredible at managing all of my bridesmaids! We are a high maintenance bunch and the salon staff did an amazing job making us all feel beautiful and ready for the big day! All of my bridesmaids looked absolutely incredible! Their hair and make up was outstanding and what I liked most is the salon staff really captured each of my bridesmaid's style and personality. As the bride they exceeded my expectations with my hair and make up and I truly feel I have never looked so pretty as that day because of the great job they did. It was one of my favorite parts of a wonderful day at HQ Salon and Spa getting beautiful and spending time with my favorite friends in the whole world!
Everyone at this salon is so friendly and helpful! The total is a bit much. However, all my girls, my mom, and I all got manicures done the Friday before and hair & make-up the day of. They opened the salon 1.5 hours before regular time to make sure that we were not rushing and had plenty of time. They worked around MY schedule which was a nice change. That Saturday, everything was planned so 2 girls were having their hair done and 2 girls were having their make-up done at the same time. We were able to bring in food and drinks to enjoy. I would highly recommend this salon for any wedding party, or even just to get a haircut

In 1975 Don and Donna Anselmo opened the doors to Headquarters Hairstylists (known now as HQ Salon and Spa) in Portage, Michigan. The success of their business is due to a strong belief in excellent service, with an emphasis on education, and a

In 2008, success and continued growth has helped reinforce the vision of what people want in a Salon/Spa experience. This continued growth inspired an expansion and complete renovation of our now 3,200 sq. ft. salon
and spa.
Today, Don and Donna's daughter, Angie Schirripa and her friend Melissa Brockelbank own and run the company. Angie and Melissa share a passion for pampering their guests in and atmosphere of friendly comfort, refinement and
renewal. Guest satisfaction has been their ultimate reward and the HQ Team will go to any lengths to achieve it. Inspiration comes from many places, with over 20 years of experience in the salon and spa industry, Angie and Melissa share their passion for
learning and excellence with a talented group of professionals. The staff is kept up to date with the latest techniques in hairstyling, color, massage therapy, nail care and skin care to meet each guest's personalized needs.
