The Hyatt Lodge was a really nice venue with a very professional and knowledgeable staff. It's a hotel, so they know how to hold events, but it doesn't look or feel like a hotel from the inside and the outside. We chose the location due to the size of the ballroom and the layout of the cocktail hour (and that it's on a beautiful campus so taking pictures was a breeze!). It was also very convenient that all of our guests could stay right at the hotel if they wanted. The only drawback from having a reception at the Hyatt Lodge is cost - you pay for the professionalism. They know how to run a seamless wedding (seriously, not one thing went wrong), but you pay the price. In my opinion it was well worth it. I loved having the Hyatt Lodge host our wedding weekend. A great time was had by all!

The Hyatt Lodge was the most beautiful reception venue. The food was AMAZING and teh service was incredible. My guests have contacted me to specifically tell me how wonderful it was. They said the food was the best wedding food that they ever had. The night was magical!

My wife, Katie, and I held both our outdoor wedding ceremony and our reception at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's Campus and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about Melanie, our wedding coordinator, and the rest of the staff at the Hyatt Lodge. The level of personal attention and commitment from the Lodge was incredible. They were extremely flexible in regards to any and all ideas that we had and allowed us to use their space and facilities in any way we pleased. They promised us that they would give us the wedding of our dreams and that is absolutely what they did!Melanie's assistance through our planning process was truly invaluable. She was absolutely integral in making our big day such a success and we are so grateful to her for that! The professionalism and class with which Melanie and her staff planned, coordinated and carried out the various parts of our wedding day were remarkable and Katie and I could not be happier that we chose the Hyatt Lodge for our wedding! To start, planning our wedding with Melanie was truly a joy. Katie and I never felt stressed and really enjoyed every moment of the entire process. The location and set up for our ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds at the McDonald's Campus were unbeatable for our wedding photos. The cocktail hour on the patio outside of the Grand Oaks Pavilion was perfect. The food for our reception in the Grand Oaks Pavilion was some of the best we've ever tasted. The list could really go on forever. The entire day was just incredible thanks all of the hard work from Melanie and her staff. We were absolutely thrilled with everything about the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's Campus and, as far we are concerned, it is the absolutely perfect place to hold a wedding. We would recommend it to anyone and everyone we know without hesitation!

Love, love, love everything about our wedding venue. From the ceremony to the reception everything was perfect!I was the bride, who held all of my wedding events at the Hyatt Lodge on May 13th– 15th 2011. I hosted my welcome dinner Friday, ceremony and wedding on Saturday and farewell breakfast Sunday. Overall, from the minute I met Catherine and Sigita in the fall of 2010 I knew I had made an excellent decision. Still in a wedding glow, I am overwhelmed with how all of the events came to light, most of all my wedding day. Catherine and Sigitia are true professionals who not only know how to make a bride and groom happy, but who represent the Hyatt’s brand name as if it was their own. Their attention to detail, their patience and overall creativity made what was the most important day of my life absolutely PERFECT! Looking back, I would not have changed a single thing! Not one little detail. From the venue choice, to the delicious menu and food, to the decision to move our ceremony inside (it was bad weather, it is Chicago) – everything was better than expected. Everything at the hotel was great! - Sigitia, Catherine and the staff they work with!! - The front desk staff (the women who seemed to work nonstop, I believe her name was Lori, was a total doll) - Excellent waiters, waitresses and bartenders (Adan the capital, Benjamin, Barb, Gabriela to name a few of what seemed like endless numbers – I did not have the pleasure to meet them all but I can tell you everyone commented on their service!) - The spa staff Beverly and Susan took care of myself, my mother and some of my bridesmaid’s and did it will style. - The people 'behind' the scenes: The kitchen who made the best appetizers and wedding food I have ever tasted – seriously!! I worked at a banquet hall when I was in my late teens / early 20s and know what it takes to get that many meals out hot and tasting like they only dealt with 2 people instead of 200. My hats go off to them!I am a picky bride and it was the vendors who made my wedding EXCELLENT. Loved everything!!

The Hyatt Lodge is a beautiful location for a wedding reception. The food is something everyone raves about (deservedly so), the location is wonderful, and the service is top-notch! We paid a bit more than we originally wanted, but every penny was VERY well spent. Two tiny drawbacks to note: Parking is a bit difficult for older guests since it is a little walk (although valet is available). Second, if you are in the Grand Oaks Pavillion ballroom, which is a gorgeous room with floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls overlooking the woods, it is a LONG walk to the room from the front of the hotel. However, once you are there, the space is VERY private, which is wonderful!

We LOVED this as our reception site. We were happy with everything. The coordinator was helpful, the site was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Really, we have no complaints.
