Why would a Seattle couple hire a LA photographer to shoot a Cape Cod Massachusetts wedding? Because no one comes close to Ian's talent and quality of work.

The photos from our Plimoth Plantation wedding in Plymouth, MA were incredible. Ian captured the emotion of the day - from the big moments to the intimate exchanges - without being obtrusive. His photojounalist style, combined with his eye for setting up 'formals' in a fashionable and non-cheesy way, let him capture the joy of our day.

On top of it all, Ian is friendly, funny, and personable. And calm - which is what a bride wants when she starts getting stressed!

I'm excited that Ian has expanded his business to Seattle - you can bet he'll be doing our family photography from now on!

Ian & Tanya are so wonderful. They are so talented, and just super nice! You don't feel like they are vendors you hired. You feel like they are your old friends coming to celebrate with you.....(which just so happens to own a camera and take lots of photos of you.)
They were super understanding and flexible about my abrupt elopement. Though, we can't exactly share the photos with the general public, I'm really glad they were there and now I have great photos to remember my wedding. So thank you, Ian & Tanya! You two rock!!

My husband and I contracted with Ian Grant to photograph our wedding at The Immaculata and The Lodge at Torrey Pines in April 2010. We could not have been more pleased with our decision. The photos are beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for. From start to finish, Ian was one of the most professional and responsive professionals we contracted with for our wedding.

Ian responded promptly to all of my inquiries and requests. He and his wife Tanya work well as a team and were a pleasure to work with. Both are professional, friendly, and very talented. One thing that impressed me very much about Ian was his constant positive and attentive attitude. We spoke briefly a few weeks before the wedding to relay my requests for photographs on the wedding day. Ian met every one of them.

Ian promptly displayed all of our engagement and wedding photos on a professional and user friendly website that I can access with a login and password and the photos are amazing! He captured a great variety...first look, details, portraits, ceremony, formals, and reception. There are a few portraits of me and my husband on a Craftsman-era sofa beneath a painting and surrounded by two tiffany lamps in The Lodge that are so classic and brilliant. He also spotted a couple beautiful trees with pink blooming flowers outside the church for additional photos that I had somehow never previously noticed. Ian produced so many beautiful portraits. He also successfully captured many significant moments and expressions during the ceremony. There were a few very brief emotional moments that I recall during the ceremony that Ian somehow managed to capture.

I was truly amazed with every aspect and highly recommend him.

AMAZING!!! I don't know how else to describe how incredible Ian Grant Photography is. I was so blown away by EVERYTHING that Ian and his wife Tanya did. First, my pictures are breathtakingly beautiful. Each picture is like a work of art. Ian and Tanya captured every single moment of our wedding...they didn't miss even one detail. I think they must have cloned themselves, because looking at the pictures it seems they were everywhere at once. Looking through the photographs has been so fun...Ian and Tanya caught so many moments that I had completely missed during the day. And the portraits! They are just stunning! No cheesy poses here. Every portrait is creative, elegant and sophisticated. I want to frame them all! To top it off, there are SO many pictures to choose from.

Not only does Ian take incredible photographs, but he and Tanya are just a joy to be around. They put all of our guests at ease and everyone just adored them! They are beyond professional as well. They were super-punctual (despite the airline cancelling their flight at the last moment, having to spend 5 hours in the airport and then catching the red-eye in!). And Ian is so responsive. He replies to emails and voicemails in an instant, and posted my proofs incredibly quickly. I am just so thrilled with everything about Ian and Tanya, and cannot recommend them highly enough. I adore them!!!!!!

Our wedding photos are AMAZING. My husband and I could not have been more pleased. Seriously, WOW! Ian and Tanya were fantastic on our big day. They made us feel so comfortable and relaxed; it's like were friends we had invited to our small, intimate wedding who just happened to have cameras. At the same time they were extremely professional. They captured do many special moments of such a memorial day. I really can't emphasize enough how beautiful our photos are. We really lucked out!

We loved Ian's work so much that we flew him to the east coast to photograph our wedding. He really knows how to make you feel comfortable and is able to capture that spark between a couple. He feels like a part of your family during it all, but is able to blend into the background and document the intimate moments without it feeling intrusive. Since the wedding, I've also used him for other projects and would recommend him for events, headshots, etc.

Ian and Tanya were seriously AMAZING!! I treasure our pictures from our wedding so much. They are so natural, so beautiful and so us! Ian captured the day perfectly - so much so that 4 years later I still get teary eyed looking at them :). I think it's super important for your photographer to kind of blend into your wedding day and not make the guests uncomfortable with a giant camera in their face - and it's pretty hard to do that and still capture the feeling of the day.... Ian and Tanya not only blended in, our guests LOVED them and we still get comments about how great they are and how much people love our pictures. My only regret with Ian and Tanya was that we moved back east and couldn't have them photograph our first baby :). We love love love them and would not hesitate to give the the highest recommendation to anyone looking for a photographer!

My husband and I couldn't recommend Ian Grant Photography more highly! We were very impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. They met with us prior to the wedding to talk through our preferences and were a pleasure to work with on such an important day. It was wonderful to have photographers who took beautiful candid shots, and yet we never felt as if they were intrusive or interfered with the sacredness of the wedding day. In fact, we were so pleased we hired them to do a newborn photo shoot with our first son and have them booked again for the newborn session of our second son, due in a just few weeks. You won't be disappointed with Ian Grant Photography for all your important life events!

Ian Grant Photography pictures were amazing. He captured the magic of the engagement, wedding day and so much more. I will always cherish the memories that his photographs were able to catch that will definitely last a lifetime.

Ian Grant Photography is fantastic! Ian and Tanya are consummate professionals, they photographed our wedding 4 years ago, and people are still talking about the pictures they took. I get compliments on them all the time, their work is absolutely beautiful. We were so happy with their work, we hired them 4 years later to take portraits of our new baby. They are such lovely people, great to work with, and the product is beautiful. We would hire them again in a second.

I could not have been happier with my wedding photos. Ian spent time with us in the beginning to get to know our style, and he hit it spot-on: lots of candids, joyful, goofy moments, and absolutely stunning portraits. I felt like every picture belonged in a magazine. Absolutely nothing, from the details to each individual guest, was missed, and the shots were unique and striking.

Ian and Tanya make a perfect team. I don't know how they did it, but they were somehow everywhere at once and completely unobtrusive. (I suspect some sort of super powers.) We were immediately comfortable with them. I must warn you, you will want to be their friends. We recommend them to everyone we know!

Oh my gosh, Ian. We just got home from our honeymoon and looked at our pictures... for like 6 hours!!! They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING -- we seriously are so excited! I literally got teary eyed looking at them all. Thank you SO much they are perfect. You captured everything perfectly and I have never seen such beautiful pictures in my entire life. We absolutely loved working with you guys - you and Tanya are awesome! I got so many comments from our guests about how cool you both are.. you guys totally fit right in with our guests.
