Reviews for Icing On The Ring
Rafi and Ahni were great to work with!
no pressure and very reliable and super patient!
do not shop at the jewelers at the mall or dare i say - the "other" famous stores - stop in and ask Ahni or Rafi for help - they are honest and trustworthy.
Raffi was absolutely wonder in working with us! My FI and I had gone in here months prior to our engagement to pick out rings. I had tried on the ring I fell in love with at a bridal show that they were at. Raffi was very honest, which we really appreciated. Never felt pressured into anything. I knnow my FI enjoyed doing business with him and we will definitely be getting our weddings bands from there too!
We went in to Icing on The Ring to browse today after so many rave reviews. They are all true. Very professional and helpful and NO PRESSURE to buy. Rafi was very honest and patient with us and took time to explain any questions we had. I highly recommend them and we're seriously considering going through them for our bands.
We had seen ads for Icing on the Ring and decided to go look there since we were in downtown LA anyway. I was really surprised at how friendly and non-pressuring the sales associates were! We had a lot of questions about diamonds (this was early on in the process), and I think they knew we were just information gathering and were still more than happy to show us diamonds and share their knowledge. We didn't end up buying from them, but I would definitely recommend to anyone to check them out.
Icing on the Ring is the BEST jewelry store in downtown LA. Garo is an exceptionally talented and honest jeweler. We bought my wedding band and my fiance's tungsten wedding ring from Garo, and he repaired and enhanced my engagement ring. My e ring looks totally new and 100% better than it did before! Shopping in the jewelry district can be so overwhelming, but now that we've found Icing, we will go there again and again for all of our jewelry needs. Thanks, Garo!
After many recommendations to Icing On The Ring we finally checked out this place. They had a big selection and my picky fiance (now husband) finally found a wedding band! Great jewelry store!
Icing on the Ring is a must stop for your jewelry, especially, your wedding bands and engagement ring! Personally, I love going downtown but my fiance was very skeptical to trust the jewelry district. For some reason, he has a hard time trusting a store that isn't a chain, which drives me crazy! The point is, once he met Garo, he quickly changed his mine and will continue to bring his business there for as long as we live in Los Angeles! I love my rings!! Icing on the Ring is very trustworthy and the selection is the best in all of the district. You can find your unique piece, it doesn't have to be a solitaire princess cut.
we really enjoyed working with Icing on the Ring. Their prices were great and this family-owned business didn't make you feel like you were doing them a favor (like some of the other jewelers in the downtown jewelery district did). We went during one of their 20% off sales. The only issue we had is that they ordered the wrong size for Brent's band, even though they had measured him. So they had to order another one, which arrived quickly. I'd definitely recommend them!
Like so many, we also went to Icing on the Ring during one of their 20% off/free stainless steel groom's band promotions.
I went in knowing that I wanted a custom band that would be engraved to coordinate with my grandmother's engagement ring, and that was quick and easy to set up. I e-mailed Vic a close-up or two of the scrolls on my grandmother's ring and they custom-made a platinum band that fits perfectly around the e-ring and complements it really well.
DH took forever to pick his ring out (he went all metro on me that day! :D ) but the salesgirl was VERY patient. It was at least an hour before she gently said, "Okay, now we have to start narrowing things down from what you've already picked."
Definitely recommended.
My husband wanted a very customized Tungsten band and we were able to work with Vic to get that piece. Initially it was hard to get confirmation that the customized piece would be able to get made so there was some slight confusion initially and we had to be more aggressive in getting an answer from them, but after that it was smooth sailing. The ring took slightly longer than was estimated -- most likely due to the customization and since we ordered very early it really wasn't a problem for us.
DH got his titanium wedding band here and loves it and they custom made my wedding band to match my e-ring. It matches perfectly down to the milligrain and the prices are great. I love this place!
Raffi helped us pick out our wedding bands. He was absolutely great! Even though I was looking at a much more expensive band, when we decided on a less expensive band, he didn't pressure us to buy the expensive one. He was very helpful and everything went smoothly. We went during their 20% off sale. I highly recommend doing that. We got a white gold band and titanium band with engraving for $310. They also gave us a stainless steel travel band for free as part of the promotion!
We love our rings, and loved the service and price at this place..they only did not get a "+" because my DH's ring is too big, and I would have thought they would have noticed that when he came to pick it up.
What a great little shop! We bought our wedding bands here and the family was so patient while we were trying to pick one beautiful option over another. We ended up getting bands that they customized to us and they turned out exactly how we described. We love them! The only thing is that these guys are pretty popular and give good customer service for each person so you might wait a little bit for service, but it's definitely worth it. They are very affordable and we wished we had found them sooner.
With all the great reviews here, I don't think it's necessary to add one more ... but I will. This place is wonderful and had a great selection and friendly customer service. It was a great find.
After reading many good reviews about this place, we decided to check it out for DH’s wedding band. We ended buying a titanium band for an awesome price. They were about to have a special promotion, and even though we were a week early they still gave us the discount. Great company – also family owned.
I liked this place the moment I met the dad. It's a family business and the dad looks like a cute little Robert Deniro. Rafi helped me pick out a new engagement ring band and I believe his brother Vick made it. We came back a year later to purchase our wedding rings and they still remembered us! Extremely nice to work with.
We got my engagement ring and wedding bands there, we worked with Vic. He was such a great guy! We never felt pressured, we were always comfortable. As soon as we walked in the door we had such a since of relief, it can be very overwhelming downtown, but the whole family Vic, his brother Raffi and there father Garro made us feel very welcomed. As for the quality of my diamond, A+++++++++ including our diamond bands, with great prices!. I highly recommend Icing on the Ring.
We worked with Vic and he was just awesome. My e-ring has pink sapphires in it so we HAD to have a custom ring because a wedding band with pink sapphires in it is just not something you find at the normal jeweler. Vic immediately knew what I was looking for and found a band that would go well with my e-ring. He then custom laid alternating pink sapphires and diamonds to match my e-ring. FI also wanted an entirely custom ring. He wanted to have waves on the ring but not just any waves. He wanted the tide chart from the day we met and the tide chart from our wedding day to over lap. Very sweet idea I must say! We took a sketch into Vic and after some discussion he was able to make exactly what we were looking for. The best part of all this was the price. Our rings costs us half to a third of what all the other normal jewelry shops were quoting us. I highly recommend IOTR.
My Fi and I met with Rafi inregards of getting the perfect engagement ring. I was so happy with the service. Rafi took the time to explain everything to us. We even saw our dimaond under there scope. I was so amazed and happy with purchasing my ring there. I highly recommend them.
Icing on the Ring came highly recommended by other brides. The salespeople were not pushy at all. We got a fantastic deal on our rings during their 20% off promotion. My husband's ring was custom-made and turned out just as we'd envisioned.
there isn't too much to add to these previous glowing reviews except that my fiance and i ordered my ring here and it turned out even better than i expected!!! we picked out the design from their showcase and asked them to add milligrain edging , and for four weeks i tossed and turned wondering if the edging would turn out okay on the ring. it turned out perfect and i think really took the ring to the next level! a beautiful and delicate detail.
they also let us watch as they set the diamond (which is a family heirloom) and even explained the process to us-- kind of a lesson in diamond mounting 101! basically we are thrilled and will be back for our wedding bands!! don't hesitate to go there, or customize one their designs to your tastes-- it will turn out better than you imagined!
I checked this place out after reading many reviews. Super nice people and patient as well. I did not feel pressured at anytime like many jewelers make one feel while shopping. I bought my husbands wedding band (titanium) here which was customized. He was very pleased. I don't think you anyone would be disappointed by shopping at Icing on the Ring.
The guys, Rafi and Vic, at Icing on the Ring are the only ones I trust in the downtown jewelry district. They handled the purchase of our wedding bands about 2 years ago and gave us a great deal and excellent service. Recently, when I had the unfortunate luck of having to replace both my engagement ring and wedding band, they were like my jewelry angels.
I gave Vic the parameters of my budget and the size, color, cut, clarity of the type of replacement stone I was looking for. He must have spent 2+ hours just on my first visit alone, giving me a huge education in diamond shopping, which was extremely helpful. He then spent the next two weeks searching for a group of stones that I could choose between, that fit my needs. On my next visit, he waited patiently as I inspected each stone and chose the one that would be set into my new ring. I am an extremely anal and neurotic person and I know for a fact that he sat there for another 2+ hours while I stared at these diamonds that may have probably looked almost identical to anyone else. (By the way, this is why girls should never pick their own rings, it's WAY too hard!!)
I finally picked my stone and Vic helped me for another hour while I sifted through the dozens of options of settings they have in their showroom. I finally picked everything out and we were all set, I was going to call in with my payment information once I got home.
My neuroticism took over once I got home and I started having second thoughts, so I decided I needed my husband to go down with me and look at everything one more time before we made the final purchase. Poor Vic let me in AGAIN to spend over an hour looking at my stone and setting.....I've never met a more patient salesperson in my life.
I did finally end up choosing everything that day and handed over our payment. I had sadly been without my rings for over 2 months now and Vic bent over backwards for me, in order to get this done in less than a week so I could have my rings by Christmas. Again, a jewelery angel.
I ADORE my rings, the workmanship on them is spectacular and worth every penny (although we got an amazing deal regardless!). I had my heart set on having the same head on my ring as my original ring, so Vic went and custom ordered that piece in order to make my ring exactly what I wanted. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!!
we also went during their 20% off sale to pick up a wedding band for FI. they threw in a free stainless steel band. our order arrived as expected and it was a cinch to go pick it up. would definitely recommend!
FI bought his wedding band here, plus we got it 20% off! They had a great selection and we got the ring in 2 weeks! Icing on the Ring is a wonderful jewelry store!
My husband bought his wedding band here and we received 20% off like many of the other brides are claiming. They have huge selections and the ring we purchased was ready in less than 3 weeks. Icing on the Ring is fabulous, I highly recommend.
We went here to buy my husband's band. They had a great selection and service was excellent considering they took the time to explain everything to us and to answer all our meticulous questions.
The ring came on time, he loves it and they offer free cleaning when you go in. all in all we are glad we came here.
We received a coupon for this store at a bridal show, and decided to check it out. We ended up buying my husband's palladium band here. The prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
My DH's wedding band came from Icing on the Ring. Tungsten and he loves it. No scratches at all. I think he could have gotten a better price online, but he doesn't shop like I do.
Icing on the Ring in Los Angeles is a class act! We saw an add on The Knot and drove up to LA from OC one Saturday. We spent over an hour looking at rings and Raffi was totally patient with us, answering all of our questions. We decided we wanted them to design my engagement ring. We were able to draw up a ring on CAD and they worked from there. We had an appt to select our center stone and they pulled about 8 stones for us to choose from. They all had certification papers and they went through all the due diligence to show us everything about the diamond from color, clarity, cut, & carat weight. We were able to see them under high powered microscopes and special lighting to see all of the flaws, so we could make the best decision for us. They created the ring in a wax model and then the final ring. We went with a platinum setting and it was immaculate!! We worked with Raffi, Vic and their father and they all treat their customers with the best customer service. We will be going back to have them design my wedding band and pick out the Groom's band as well. Besides all of this, their prices... you can't beat them! Don't risk it by going to any other store in the LA jewelry district!
Vic, from Icing on the Ring was absolutely wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and I had many!!! I highly recommend IOTR, like the posts before say, they’re a family owned business with great customer service. They really know how to make your feel comfortable and are not pushy at all. We will definitely be going back for more jewelry pieces in the future.
I trust Yelp. I own the highest rated moving company in San Diego - Priority Moving. I have had customers rate me on Yelp and other sites like Kudzu. I understand the length good companies will go to in order to satisfy their customers by providing a superior product or service, or both. You need to be consistent, always on top, always aware, at the top of your game.
Icing on the Ring is all this and more. This isn't just a review, this is a Yelp from above telling you that Icing on the Ring IS the place to go for your jewelry needs.
My wife and I have been married for 18 years. The beautiful diamond I gave her has remained on a simple setting for the entire time. For a few years she had done extensive research on her new dream setting. Her file was a mixture of internet photo printouts and pages from magazines. She knew what she wanted, kind of. She is not a designer but she would certainly be able to point out what she liked if she could see it.
There are literally hundreds of jewelers in the LA jewelry mart. How in the world would we find the one to buy her new setting from? Duh... why don't we look at Yelp to see what others have liked. We visited all of the top rated 3 jewelers.
When we visited Icing on the Ring, specifically Vic, I knew we had found our place. Right away we felt at home, Vic took his time to understand what my wife wanted, not once was there any sales pressure of any kind. When it was clear that nothing similar to what my wife wanted existed, they custom designed a ring for her. Imagine, she has a one-of-a-kind setting! Not only that but it is exactly what she wanted. This was no easy feat.
Vic and his team, including his father, took the time like architects, to draw and design the ring, using elements from other rings and my wife's file. The drawings ended up becoming the most beautiful setting my wife could ever have wished for. The entire experience from start to finish was absolutely perfect. We always felt at ease, we always felt in good hands. The level of professionalism is beyond awesome. Not only that but I feel that the price of the ring was very good.
We never could have accomplished this at any other jeweler that we knew of and believe me we tried.
If you are looking for rings or other similar jewelry you need to, you must go to Icing on the Ring.
This is a family owned jewelry store that is extremely personable! My husband got his paladium wedding band from there at an extremely reasonable price. The people who work there are very patient and not pushy. If you sign up with their emailing list, they occassionally have special deals like 20% off wedding bands. They have a really good selection on wedding bands.
We first went to find a wedding band for my FI. We were going to get platinum, but Vic encouraged us to choose less-expensive, more-durable palladium because FI was worried he'd be rough on it.
While we were there I asked about having a custom band made to fit against my engagement ring. The father (I can't remember his name now) took the time to design a band and created a wax mock-up so I could see exactly how it would look. I waffled back and forth about the band and went back to the store 2 more times before I finally picked one. Each time they were patient and helpful. They also added milgrain edging to match my engagement ring at no additional cost.
We intially just went to IOTR to just browse, but we ended up getting both of our bands! The guys there are so helpful and the quality of their jewelry just can't be beat! I walked in and was overwhelmed by the whole process, but it was really easy. I really wanted my band to match the detailing on my engagement ring and they were able to do it!
We also went during their 20% off sale to get my FI's band. They were really helpful and patient with us as we went back and forth, despite the large number of people there. Eventually we decided on a band that cost more than we wanted to spend, but we decided to go for it anyway. Then they told us that we could get it in palladium instead of in platinum and save ourselves a ton of money. All the research we've done on palladium since then backs up everything they told us and made us feel confident in the choice. They saved us a ton of money on top of the 20% off. Seriously, what more could you ask from a store?
Service was great. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We had custom bands made and we couldn't be happier. We really love our rings. This is a great Jewelry store with a huge selection and reasonable prices.
Vick helped me design my wedding band and it looks perfect with my engagement ring! They have wedding band sale 20% off time to time, try to contact them to get on the list so you'll get information when the sale event is. I missed the one on March and waited for the next one which was in September, he remembered to give me a call prior to that event and save on the band. :)
This might sound silly, but I was a little nervous, based on their name, that Icing on the Ring would be an intimidating or snobby place to shop. I am SO glad that we checked it out anyway! I didn't want a diamond solitaire and instead my husband and I shopped around for a channel-set band for me and a "cool" band for him. We went all over the place and we found the best selection, the best prices, and most of all the best SERVICE at Icing on the Ring. Since it's a family business we dealt with the same people (the two sons) each time we visited. On our first trip they gave us a written estimate without hesitation (where other shops hemmed and hawed)and answered every question with patience. We were able to take advantage of one of their frequent sales (just ask!) and got 20% off our purchase. Overall, we were thrilled with our experience!
