Cris Crapello from Imagine Entertainment is pretty much the best DJ ever. Aside from just being a super nice guy, he also obviously enjoys what he does, and it shows in every aspect of his work. From the first time we met with him, I knew I wanted him to DJ our wedding. He took lots of time to get to know my husband and me and went to great lengths to understand us and our musical tastes. He did not try to push anything on us, but rather allowed us to determine the type of music and how we wanted the night to go. All night long, I kept getting compliments on how great the music was and what a great DJ we had found...and I had to agree! People did not stop dancing the entire time, and at the end of the night, when Cris announced that he was about to play the last song, the entire crowd on the dance floor collectively yelled out, "NOOOOOO!!" - and so he generously played one more song to extend the dancing just a little more :)Even a month later, people are still talking about our wedding and how it was one of the best (if not the best!) wedding they have been to, and I know that much of that is due to Cris and his work!

A good DJ makes for a great wedding. Hire Nick from Imagine Entertainment and be prepared for an amazing, off the charts fantastic wedding! When I booked Nick 2 years ago I had a very streamlined vision of how I wanted my music. But at our creativity session before the wedding, the options and possibilities Nick suggested were insane. I never thought that my favorite rock bands could be incorporated into my wedding until that meeting. He took a few of my ideas and ran with them. He helped us figure out our ceremony music down to the cake cutting song-all with songs from our favorite bands and music that was non-traditional. The comments were endless about the music-during and after the wedding. Guests loved that he played music and got people to dance before the food was even served. Others loved the mix throughout the night of current stuff and GOOD old school. I wanted unique and he gave me unique. He was fun and professional and just made our day perfect. I only wish it lasted days not hours!

Best. DJ. Ever. That pretty much sums it up. Since my friend's wedding 3 years ago where Nick was the DJ, I knew that I wanted him for mine. After booking the venue he was the next person I called. Nick did a phone planning session with us a few weeks before the wedding and helped us select music for the various parts of the ceremony and reception. He also figured out how to incorporate our favorite bands/artists to create an interesting and unique music experience. The day of, Nick checked in with me throughout the night to make sure I was happy and made sure there was a natural flow to the evening. I don't know what I could have been unhappy about because the music was AWESOME. People were dancing the whole night and he played music that everyone could enjoy. He rolled with the punches with my crazy family and friends, even wearing some of the props they brought. I'm hoping to crash some of his future weddings because they are just that fun!! Nick provided fantastic music and entertainment for our daughter's recent wedding reception at the Avalon Yacht Club. The guests came up to us throughout the evening raving about the music, Nick's running commentary and his involvement with the party. Nick got right into the spirit of the crowd and even my 95 year-old mom remarked about how terrific a DJ he was. My wife and I especially appreciated that Nick played such a great mix of musical styles and genres, so there was something for everyone to dance to. He got all the guests out on the dance floor and no-one wanted the night to end. We couldn't have been happier or had more fun and would wholeheartedly recommend Nick to anyone who is planning a wedding event anywhere. Kudos for a job well-done!

I highly recommend Nick. We had an intimate beach wedding and he provided music for the ceremony and DJ'd the reception. He met with us beforehand for a "creativity session" so he knew our musical taste and we made selections for ceremony music, first dance, etc. He had lots of suggestions but also listened to what we like so that all the music for the reception was exactly what we wanted. He made sure that the vibe during dinner was relaxed and cool, but that the dance floor was packed afterward (and with a small guest list that isn't easy!). I would recommend him for small or large weddings, especially for couples that have an eclectic musical taste and want to work some unique or non-traditional songs into their day.

If you want your wedding guests to have an amazing time and keep the dance floor packed all night, then book Nick! He is seriously the best DJ we've ever heard and he knows how to work the crowd. He's so easy to work with and super enthusiastic about his job - you can tell he loves music and wants everyone to have the best time ever. The songs were perfect and the pacing of the reception was perfect. Nick knows when to get the crowd going and also how to slow it down at the right time. He is seriously amazing and will make your reception one to remember. He’s also a really nice guy – easy to get in touch with and easy to talk to. Don't even consider anyone else. He's the MAN.

A BIG thank you to Nick and his team! From the first meeting with Nick, he knew exactly what we were looking for! So easy to work with and would definitely recommend him and use him again! A month before the wedding we got together for a creativity session to pick out all the main songs for the first dance, etc. We wanted to mix some rock in with what everyone else likes and he meshed it in perfectly! I have heard nothing but good things and guests raving about him since the wedding. He literally had almost every single guest dancing until the very last song! People have even asked me if I had a CD of all the songs played at the wedding because the enjoyed the mix so much! I would like to imagine that if Nick Cavaleri actually showed up to our wedding he would have done a wonderful job. Unfortunatley, this was not the case. He did not call to tell (or text) my husband or me on the day of the wedding that he was not going to be coming. He (thankfully) sent another DJ in his place who approached my husband & I during our cocktail hour to tell us that he would be the DJ for the evening because Nick would not be showing up. One month later we are still waiting for a phone call from this "professional" businessman with his explanation for being a no show at our wedding. He was quick to make sure we were no longer friends on Facebook after his mishap, but had no time to return a phone call from us. He has only been man enough to answer a text message from my husband claiming he had an "emergency' and that he would call us "tomorrow evening to discuss." Big surprise that tomorrow has yet to come.

$2200 very poorly spent, but I have no problem falling asleep at night because I know that karma is a b****. Too bad Nick can't say the same.

Nick is the best!! We had a packed dance floor from the moment cocktail hour was over until the very last song. His energy level throughout the whole night was amazing and you can tell he LOVES what he does and does it well. We are still getting compliments on having "the best DJ ever." From the moment we booked him, to the creativity session to the wedding night we knew we could count on him to make it the best night of our lives-and he did just that, and then some. :)

Hi I'm Rob. I'd like to take a few minutes to write a review about Nick and Imagine Entertainment. If you scroll through the reviews, you'll notice that my wedding date (Oct 1st 2011) coincides with Danielle's who wrote a great review about Nick. My wife and I had signed a contract with Nick months prior to our wedding. On the DAY OF OUR WEDDING, Nick called me at 9 AM to inform me that he would not be able to perform the entertainment services that we had contracted for. However, he will be sending a suitable replacement. Nick's excuse was that his "Pops" was rushed to the hospital and he would have to attend to him. I wished him the best of luck and was sorry not to have him. Instead of getting Nick AND an assistant ($2200), we got a guy named Gil who did an OK job that any semi-good DJ (at half the price) could have performed. Now, I cannot review Nick's ability as an entertainer, I am sure he does a great job, which is why we contracted with him in the 1st place. I do question his morals as well as his ethics. He obviously performed his services with Danielle and left us (bait and switch?). We asked Nick (both by certified letter as well as email) to refund us half of our payment (since we paid for 2 people (not for possibly lying to us and going to a different reception) Nick never responded. So now, I question his business ethics!! I'm expecting Nick to post on this site to refute my review, claiming I am another DJ or entertainment service trying to bad mouth him. However, when Nick refused to acknowledge our request for a partial refund, we took him to Small Claims Court in Ocean County, NJ.And won. Nick didn't even show up. If you'd like to check the records for yourself, please call the Ocean County Courthouse at 732-929-2016 Case # OCN SC-001581-12. I also suggest you check with the number of complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau, which we also filed a complaint with that Nick ignored. Good luck..if he shows up.

I had 150 people tell me that our wedding was the best they ever attened, and i owe alot of it to Nick and his Crew at Imagine Entertainment! Nick dealt with everything thrown at him with professionalism and class, and was the BEST MC ever! He got the crowd pumped up and dancing all night long! there are alot of wedding DJ's out there, but if you want the greatest experience for you, as well as your guests, Nick and Imagine Entertainment is the only choice! I am trying to find a reason to book Nick again, jsut becase it was so much fun!

Prior to getting married, my husband & I went to our share of weddings...about 15 in 3 years! Needless to say we've also seen/heard our share of music at all of them. At each of them there were always people dancing and having a great time; sometimes the floor would be more or less crowded depending on the type of music. BUT I can honestly say that there was not one single time when the dance floor at our wedding was not completely packed!!! Nick was absolutely amazing from the beginning to the end of our wedding and all of the planning in between!

Nick provided the music for our ceremony on the beach, the microphone so our guests could hear the ceremony, and the music for the cocktail hour and reception. He met with us twice for a good few hours and helped us pick music for everything. Leading up to the wedding day, he was always available for questions, changes, etc. We were able to have a really personal soundtrack to our wedding day that included Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, and Dropkick Murphys - definitely not your everyday wedding music, but it worked amazingly! The dance floor was filled all night and everybody had a great time! Our guests commented on how great Nick was and they were disappointed when the night was over.

Recently I used Imagine Entertainment for my wedding and they were so great I sent an email to thank them. Instead of writing a review, I'll just share what I said to them ...

Nick,

I just wanted to send you a quick message to thank you for all of the amazing work you did last Saturday. Not only was the playlist spot-on, but you were incredibly helpful in coordinating and keeping the events flowing. The night couldn't have gone so smoothly without you. And again, the playlist was unbeatable. There wasn't a guest there that didn't think the music was great. If I had a dollar for every time I heard a variation on, "I love this song; but weddings NEVER play it", I'd be able to pay for another reception.

We were extremely impressed with Nick and his staff on our wedding day. Our guests are still raving about the music at our wedding and would love a copy of the soundtrack:) What we loved about Nick the most was that he was not only a "DJ", but a wedding coordinator as well. He made sure that the dance floor was packed and that the entire evening was orchestrated smoothly. He was extremely helpful throughout the planning process and we especially enjoyed our "creativity session" in which we were able to meet with Nick and plan our reception from start to finish. We also noticed the "little" things that you did for us too, like bringing us both a drink, playing DMB as the bridal party arrived, and for the personalized cd with all our most memorable wedding songs at the end of the night. Things like that make you TOP NOTCH - and WAY above the rest! You were so easy to work with, a true professional and a true gentleman. We felt extremely taken care of and in good hands throughout the entire planning process and ABSOLUTELY your top priority the coming weeks before the wedding.

We feel incredibly blessed to have had you as our entertainment - Not only have we found our entertainment for all of life's celebrations - but a friend as well.

Nick was amazing! So many of our guests raved about our music! He took care of our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music. When we met with him to select our music, he was very helpful and easy to work with. He had great suggestions for ceremony and introduction music. We only had about 8 songs on our "must play" list and it was as if every song he played was one of our favorites. Our guests were dancing all night long from the first to the last song! We couldn't of been happier.

Nick was amazing!!! We finally got a chance to meet Nick a week before the wedding due to our schedules and somehow he was able to completely understand our needs and wants and the "feel" of the wedding we were going for in a very short time. He listened to what we wanted and didn't want and helped us choose the PERFECT music for each moment when we were unsure of what to pick. I feel like the DJ can make or break a wedding reception (he also did our ceremony) and Nick definitely "made" it! From the first song of the prelude to the last song of the evening, our expectations were exceeded! Our guests are still talking about it!! We would recommend Nick to anyone!

We had to drive to Barnegat to meet with him. He reassured us there would be a team ready to go if something happens to one of the "crew" Well, we find out at 5:30 that he can't make it and there was no back up plan.

The technician did our wedding and did a great time by himself, but pushed our wedding back 45 minutes on new years eve. He then asked for more money after a 50% deposit.

Thank god our family and friends came together to salvage our night.

I have the unique pleasure of working with Nick for years as well as knowing him socially. Actually just from spending time w him socially years ago he unknowingly shaped my taste in music by introducing me to bands i have never heard of. He introduced me to music that changed my life. ( not kidding ) So, When the day came for me to be married there was NO question in my mind. Matter of fact, i asked Nick if he was available on the date of my choice BEFORE i booked my venue ! There are things that CAN be compromised when you are having a wedding. Then there are things that simply CANNOT. The music was non negotiable for me. Imagine Entertainment are the best DJs hands down i have ever seen in action, as well as a pleasure to have at quite possibly THE most important event of your life thus far. I can also attest to the fact that Nick lives and breathes his work, and anytime FREE time he does have is spent at concerts or listening to, and searching for GOOD music. The kind that makes you MOVE. He will instantly become your friend. You might be intimidated by a microphone but he I can promise you is not ! You dont really know me, so this may sound strange but ill say it anyway. You know how they say you are what you EAT ? well if Nick could eat music he would ;)

Awesome service provided by Nick Cavaleri of Imagine Entertainment!! He has a special gift of picking up the vibe of a party and playing all the right music! All our guests were very impressed, they thought we had specially requested some songs that Nick had just chosen to play!! He can also make you a "soundtrack" CD of your wedding, but make sure to mention it in advance of the big day. Wish we could do it all over again!

After our wedding, everyone was asking who our DJ was and asking for his information for their wedding! I cannot say enough great things about Nick and Imagine Entertainment. Nick was professional and courteous from beginning to end. He worked with us to determine what kind of music we enjoyed and what our guests would enjoy. Our guests were on their feet the whole reception - the dancing never stopped! He doesn't do any of the cheezy dances or use any props. He just plays great dancing music that keep your guests dancing all night!

Nick was great to work with and made my party great. He has the ability to get the party started with any crowd and makes everyone enjoy their time. He does not do all the cheesy stuff with props and dumb dances unless thats what you want. He is easy to make changes with and very accomodating. He is a great addition to any party!

Nick is the best DJ EVER . .. not lying! He was available for every phone call I made, helped me choose the perfect songs when I didn't have any ideas, and kept the party going all night. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end. So many of my friends and family told me it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. Nick Cavaleri was the DJ at my wedding on May 12, 2006 at the Park Savoy and he was awesome. He played the best music and had everyone dancing the entire evening. He helped us form ideas in his signature planning session prior to our wedding and to this day we still talk about how he was top notch. He also gave us a cd of music from our wedding day, which we listen to almost 4 years later. we hired nick after seeing him do a wedding i was in. he was fantastic...none of the normal "wedding nonsense" like the macarena or the chicken dance. we gave a list of our favorite bands and he made it work. we have been told that our wedding was the most fun with the best music. i would definitely, without a doubt, recommend Imagine Entertainment to everyone!!!
